    What’s New

Create a new topic from the navigation

You can now select the “New topic” button from the top navigation to quickly ask a question, share an idea, or start a discussion without navigating back to a category first.

The button is responsive and will look like a “+” in smaller devices.

    Community banners

We’ve improved the look and behavior of our community banners across the site. You will now also be able to dismiss one banner and not the second one when there are two banners up.

    Community footer and cookies updates

We’ve made improvements to the community footer and cookies experience, along with fixes for related issues.

    Design updates

We’ve refined colors and styling to improve consistency across the community, including in our dark mode.

    We Value Your Feedback

We value your feedback and use it to improve our platform. Please take a few minutes to submit your ideas and help us make our platform even better.

Thank you for your continued support!

You can also ask Breeze to enroll contacts or saved views in Prospecting Agent and to build buying group charts. Plays need the Prospecting Agent private beta, and Buying Groups needs its public beta.

What’s New for Support & Success

Customer Agent: easier setup, testing, and control

Customer Agent is faster to launch and easier to tune, with guidance built from your own conversations.

    • Audience segments and new Guidelines UI: Configure knowledge, actions, tone, and handoffs by visitor segment. The redesigned Guidelines page supports multiple named guidelines per category and preset templates. Audiences are in private beta, so contact your CSM.
    • Testing tools: A Tester button now appears on every configuration page, and a Test API button lets you check custom API actions before publishing.
    • Deployment recommendations: Ask Breeze Assistant by agent name where and how to deploy, with coverage estimates and estimated resolutions.
    • Breaking change: The hs_customer_agent_lead_status contact property is now read-only, and only Customer Agent can write to it.

    Learn more.

Availability: Pro+ of Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, Data Hub, and Smart CRM.

Help Desk: quality scoring, routing, and workflow

New AI scores, smarter routing, and interface updates help managers coach at scale and keep queues moving.

    • Customer Experience Score and Quality Assurance Score: AI scores each ticket, with a short explanation. CXS covers tickets that surveys miss, and QAS rates tone, clarity, and empathy for coaching. Turn both on in Help Desk settings > AI tools. QAS requires Customer Agent.
    • Omnichannel Waitlist: When all agents are at capacity, tickets wait in a Waitlist view, prioritized by SLA and wait time, and are assigned as agents free up.
    • Customer Agent fallback and assignment workflows: Route conversations to Customer Agent when no human is available. Inbox routing rules can also enroll conversations into a workflow.
    • Ticket reopening rules: Set a time window. Replies inside it reopen the original ticket, and later replies create a new linked ticket.
    • Block IP address: Block an IP from a live chat thread for 14 days and move its existing threads to spam.
    • Board redesign and composer: The board is rebuilt on CRM board components with per-view card settings, draft and publish, bulk actions, and real-time updates. An opt-in reply editor is also available.

    Learn more.

    • Ticket links: View Ticket links in form submissions and feedback surveys now open Help Desk.

Availability: Service Hub Pro+. Customer Agent fallback for all hubs and tiers.

    Inbox

Two updates make the Conversations Inbox more flexible and forgiving.

    • New sidebar: The CRM sidebar moves to a new framework that gives admins more control. User-level card ordering does not carry over.

    Learn more.

    • Undo Send: A seven-second prompt after sending lets you cancel a message in Inbox and Help Desk.

    Availability: All hubs and tiers.

What’s New for Admins & Operations

    Agent Builder

Agent Builder combines triggers, actions, and custom agents on one canvas, and it now reaches Starter.

    Learn more.

    • Custom agents: Build agents on your own instructions, tools, and CRM data, or describe what you need to Breeze. Set run limits and use simulation mode to estimate credits. Now included from Starter up.

    Learn more.

Availability: All hubs and tiers. Credits controls apply to accounts with HubSpot Credits.

    CRM data and configuration

Cleaner data tools and simpler limits.

    • Restore from property history: Click Restore all from this source on a property history row to preview and restore affected records. Super Admins only.
    • Calculated enumeration properties: Calculation properties can now output dropdown values, replacing one-workflow-per-condition setups.
    • Simplified pipeline limits: One shared limit across object types: 15 for Starter, 100 for Professional, and 350 for Enterprise. All hubs can create deal and ticket pipelines.
    • Objectless custom events: Choose No Object for webhook or API events to trigger automation from anywhere in your stack.
    • AI Filing Agent for segments: Account Cleanup suggests folders for unfiled segments, and you review and apply them together.
    • Cleanup deletes unused marketing emails: Account Cleanup now deletes unused email drafts rather than archiving them.
    • Number porting: Port numbers from Australia, Canada, and Mexico (mobile), South Africa and Czech Republic (local), and Puerto Rico (local and mobile). Start at Settings > Calling > Call Setup.
    • Breeze canvas context: Select triggers and actions on the workflow canvas so Breeze uses them as context.

Availability: Calculated enumeration properties, objectless events, and Breeze canvas context for Pro+. Filing agent and email cleanup for Enterprise. Number porting for Sales Hub and Service Hub Starter and above. Other features for all hubs and tiers.

Dashboards are faster to load and easier to read.

    • Dashboard caching: Choose a cache duration from 5 minutes to 7 days, with a Last updated timestamp and manual refresh. Off by default.

    Availability: All hubs and tiers.

    Developer platform and APIs

The platform moves to a predictable schedule, with new APIs and app options.

    • Bi-annual releases: Platform updates now ship every March and September, with date-versioned APIs supported for 18 months and Projects version 2026.09. Legacy API versions and apps begin to sunset in March and September 2027.

    Learn more.

    • User-Level Apps: Apps act on behalf of a user and respect that user's permissions.

    Learn more.

    Learn more.

    • New public APIs: Sequences, Sales Templates, Payment Links, Payments account read, Conversation Recap, Data Studio data sources, and recurring tasks.

    Hubspot

The new Starter is here: see what’s changed

Hubspot reimagines Starter with personalized onboarding, AI help, deal and payment automation, Notetaker, Prospecting Agent, Data Agent, Breeze Assistant, Agent Builder, Email Sync, and a refreshed home page to help founders build demand, win deals, and automate routine work.

Hey founders, if you’ve looked at HubSpot’s Starter plan before and thought, “This is probably more than I need right now,” we hear you.

Running a business means doing a little of everything: finding customers, following up, selling, delivering, getting paid, and keeping the wheels on. None of these jobs is impossible on its own. The challenge is that they pile up across different tools, all while depending on you to remember what needs to happen next.

That’s why we’ve reimagined Starter around the work founders actually need to get done:

    • Build demand.
    • Win deals.
    • Automate the dread.

Instead of another system to manage, HubSpot manages these systems for you.

Build more demand with the same team you have today

You can’t grow on referrals alone. But creating a steady flow of new opportunities can feel like a job of its own.

Start with a setup that fits your goals

Our new personalized onboarding experience helps set up your CRM around your business and what you’re trying to accomplish, so you don’t have to begin with a blank system.

    Create useful content faster

Use your customer data to help draft an email, landing page, or image. You still make the call on what looks right for your business; you just don’t have to start from scratch every time.

Make it easier for leads to connect with you

Forms and landing pages send new leads directly into your CRM. Marketing email and automation help you keep the conversation moving, without manually remembering every send.

Find the right people to reach out to

Data Agent helps you research your contacts and companies with custom questions, using information from your CRM, conversations, and the web. It can save those answers in smart properties, so useful context is ready for segmentation, personalization, and follow-up instead of living in a spreadsheet or someone’s notes. Data Agent is now available to Starter customers and uses HubSpot Credits for these runs.

Win more deals by keeping the next step visible

A deal usually doesn’t go quiet because you stopped caring. It goes quiet because you’re selling, delivering, invoicing, and running the business at the same time.
Starter is getting better at helping you see what needs attention and act on it before the moment passes.

    See your pipeline more clearly

Our refreshed index and deal board make it easier to spot what’s moving, what’s stalled, and what needs a nudge. Cleaner views and simpler controls mean less time hunting for the right record or setting.

Research prospects and draft outreach without starting from scratch

Prospecting Agent researches contacts and monitors companies for signals, then drafts personalized outreach using context from your CRM. You can review and approve what it recommends, or set up rules for ongoing outreach, so you spend less time digging through accounts and writing first drafts, and more time in conversations. Prospecting Agent is now available to Starter customers and uses HubSpot Credits when it recommends outreach for a lead.

    Walk into every meeting prepared

You may be familiar with sending meeting links through HubSpot. Now, AI Meeting Prep brings together contact history, conversation context, and open deals before a call. You can spend your time having the conversation that moves things forward instead of reconstructing what happened last time.

Keep calls and next steps from disappearing

We’ve just launched Notetaker in Starter, which records, transcribes, summarizes, and logs meetings in HubSpot. Important details and follow-up tasks are captured while you stay focused on the person in front of you.

Move deals forward with less manual updating

With Deal Pipeline Automation, you can now automatically move opportunities through your process without asking you to update every stage by hand.

Get paid without interrupting the customer experience

HubSpot Payments (available to Starter customers) lets you create payment links and manage payments alongside the customer and deal information you’re already using. Revenue Agent can monitor open invoices, create follow-up plans, and send personalized payment reminders (with human approval) so getting paid takes less chasing.

    Automate the dread

The follow-up. The note. The recap. The reminder. None of these tasks are especially hard, they’re just relentless when you’re doing six jobs at once. Starter’s automation just got a lot more powerful.

Get help with the everyday work

We’ve recently made Breeze Assistant a lot more powerful. It can draft an email, summarize a record, answer a question, or suggest what to do next using the context already in HubSpot. It’s there to help you move faster, so you can make more decisions.

Keep records and follow-up details current

Our new contact and company automation functionality helps you create automations directly from the records you’re already working in. Set up simple triggers and actions (like updating a property, creating a task, or sending a notification), so routine follow-up keeps moving without you having to remember every step.

Build the agents your business actually needs

Agent Builder lets you create custom agents without code. Describe the work you want handled, and review what it’s set up to do. It’s a way to take repetitive work off your plate without waiting for a dedicated operations hire. It’s now available in Starter.

Keep your inbox and customer history connected

Email Sync connects your inbox to HubSpot so new email activity can be associated with the right contact and related records. Replies to emails sent from HubSpot or your connected inbox can log automatically, giving you a shared timeline of customer conversations without asking you to copy and paste updates after every exchange. That means when it’s time to follow up, you, or anyone helping with the account, can see the conversation in context. Email Sync is now available in Starter.

Open HubSpot and know what to do next

For those of you who have been using Starter, the home page now looks different. It now surfaces the work that needs your attention: follow-ups, meetings, tasks, and recent activity.

Get a head start instead of starting from scratch

You don’t have to stop using every tool you like. Starter gives your customer motion a home: contacts, conversations, deals, and next steps connected in one place.
That shared context is what makes the rest of the experience more useful. Your reports have something to work from. Your follow-ups have history behind them. Your AI tools have more than a blank chat window. And your team has a place to find the answer when the process can’t live only in your head anymore.
And with Starter, you have access to live chat and email support, HubSpot Academy guidance, the Founder Focused community, and over 2,000 integrations and multiple MCP connectors to help you connect the tools you already use.

Have a question about one of these updates? Drop it below. We’d love to hear what would give you the most time back each week.

More leads contacted, more deals logged: Claude for Small Business launches new growth workflows

Hubspot adds Claude for Small Business integrations that bring AI-powered lead response, pipeline management, CRM updates, and campaign tracking into Claude Cowork. The HubSpot connector now supports deeper customer context, attribution, email analytics, and approval-based outreach for small businesses.

What’s new in Claude for Small Business

Most small businesses don’t have a dedicated sales rep or marketing coordinator. The owner runs the growth operation. And until now, that meant lead follow-up, CRM updates, and campaign tracking only happened when a spare moment opened up.

The Claude for Small Business plugin changes that. With the HubSpot connector for Claude, it can respond to inbound leads, log deals, update contacts, and track what’s working. Claude responds in your voice and by default, Claude waits for your approval before anything goes out. The result: a growth operation that takes the busywork off your plate so you can spend your time on the right task.

Claude for Small Business brings a ready-to-run set of AI skills and workflows directly into Claude. These run in Claude Cowork, the desktop app where Claude works directly with your files and connected tools, including HubSpot. Since first launching in May, it’s handled the operational work: cash flow, invoices, contracts, campaigns, and month-end close.

The new workflows extend Claude from running the back office to growing the business: finding and qualifying leads, responding to inbound in your voice, running campaigns, keeping your CRM current, and reporting on what’s actually working. The existing operational workflows got deeper too: bills can be read and coded straight from the inbox, timesheets staged into a payroll run, and recurring reports defined once and delivered on a schedule. And if something you need isn’t built in, Claude can build the connector or the custom skill itself.

As Kipp Bodnar, HubSpot’s Chief Marketing Officer, put it: “Small businesses don’t need more tools, they need more time, more leads, and more confidence that the work is moving the needle. With HubSpot in Claude for Small Business, every new lead gets answered, followed up, and logged to the CRM, so owners can focus on their customers instead of their operations.”

    How it works with HubSpot

Two solutions work together to make this run: the HubSpot connector for Claude and the Claude for Small Business plugin.

The connector links Claude to HubSpot’s agentic customer platform, giving it access to your complete customer context, so it knows your business and what to do next. The connector also just shipped its biggest capability updates yet: full lead pipeline management, campaign attribution, marketing email creation and analytics, and conversations data.

The plugin builds directly on those updates. Install it in Claude Cowork and you get the full growth skill set — lead response, pipeline management, outreach, and CRM automation — running on only the HubSpot context you allow Claude to see.

What it does and what it looks like in your week

Because these skills run on your actual HubSpot pipeline, contacts, campaigns, and customer history, every action reflects your business, not a template.

Here’s what a typical week looks like:

    • Monday morning. /monday-brief pulls your HubSpot pipeline snapshot, your saved KPI reports, and your calendar into a single page. It lists what moved, what’s at risk, and the one thing that matters most this week.

    • A lead comes in at 9 PM Thursday. /speed-to-lead catches it, qualifies the inquiry against your criteria, drafts a reply with real available meeting times, and logs the contact to HubSpot. All before you’ve seen the notification.

    • You want to fill the pipeline. /grow-pipeline builds your ideal customer profile from the customers already in HubSpot, finds look-alike companies, writes personalized outreach in your voice, and logs every outreach to the CRM. Every send requires your approval before anything goes out.

    • A deal goes quiet. /crm-autopilot flags the gap, drafts a follow-up, and keeps the record current.

    • Friday afternoon. /growth-pulse preps your growth briefing for next week: sales by channel, campaign ROI, what customers are saying, and three growth actions worth taking. Everything you need going into Monday, without having to pull it together yourself.

ChatGPT Ads, Now in HubSpot: Reach High-Intent Buyers in the Conversations That Matter

Hubspot introduces ChatGPT Ads in HubSpot, the first CRM integration with ChatGPT Ads, now in public beta. Marketers can build, launch, track, and attribute campaigns inside HubSpot, sync leads to CRM, and send conversion signals back to ChatGPT Ads.

    Introducing ChatGPT Ads in HubSpot

The searches that used to bring buyers to your site are increasingly ending inside AI chat interfaces. People are typing their questions, comparing their options, and forming their opinions without ever clicking through to a website. The intent is still there. The demand is still there. The buyer’s journey has just moved somewhere new.

For marketers, that shift creates an uncomfortable reality: the playbook that drove growth for the last decade is losing its edge. Organic discovery, retargeting, and even paid search were built on a different kind of buyer behavior. And the channels you’ve mastered are no longer the only places or even the primary places where decisions get made.

The question isn’t whether to adapt. It’s how fast you can.

As the first CRM to integrate with ChatGPT Ads, ChatGPT Ads in HubSpot gives you a direct line to the buyers who are no longer clicking through from search. And because it lives inside HubSpot, every campaign, lead, and conversion ties back to the same place you run everything else. What makes the engagement valuable: ads are clearly labeled, never influence ChatGPT’s answers, and conversation data is never shared with advertisers. Every engagement reaches buyers at the moment of active intent, in an environment they already trust.

Why Marketers Are Moving Here First

ChatGPT Ads in HubSpot lives alongside Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and every other ad network you already manage. From inside HubSpot, you can:

    • Pilot one of the fastest-growing ad channels. Most marketers haven’t established a presence in ChatGPT Ads yet. Those who move now will capture demand that traditional channels no longer reach.

    • Build and launch ads without leaving HubSpot. Create campaigns, input ad creative, set your budget, and schedule your campaigns from the same place you launch ads across your other paid channels.

    • Capture leads and connect clicks to contacts automatically. Enable auto-tracking and HubSpot appends UTM parameters to your ChatGPT Ads URLs, linking clicks to contacts and deals in your CRM.

    • See performance next to every other ad channel. ChatGPT Ads data lives in the same dashboard as all of your other paid channels, enabling you to quickly understand which campaigns are working and optimize the ones that aren’t.

    How It Fits Your Workflow

    • Close the loop on revenue. When a ChatGPT Ads-sourced lead converts, HubSpot sends that signal back to ChatGPT Ads to improve targeting by optimizing for closed deals, not just clicks.

    • Sync leads instantly. Lead gen form submissions from ChatGPT Ads create contacts automatically in HubSpot CRM, ready for immediate workflow enrollment.

    • Attribute every channel equally. ChatGPT Ads plug into your existing attribution model, so every new experiment connects back to the same source of truth as your other channels.

    Get Started

ChatGPT Ads in HubSpot is now available in public beta. You’ll need a HubSpot Marketing Hub Free, Starter, Professional, or Enterprise accounts, as well as a ChatGPT Ads account to connect.

Please note that ads in ChatGPT currently reach users on ChatGPT’s Free and Go plans in the US, Canada, Europe, UK, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Japan. Ads are not shown to Plus, Pro, or Business subscribers.

    Revenue Hub Release Roundup

Hubspot expands revenue intelligence and payments with contract imports, billing migrations, new revenue reporting, Breeze revenue answers, quote approvals, more checkout payment options, self-serve stored payment removal, and new Payments APIs.

Revenue intelligence: your contracts, your data, your answers

Two things have been true for most revenue teams using HubSpot: the data lived somewhere else, and the questions were hard to answer. That’s all changing!

This roundup covers the releases that close both gaps, starting with a set of updates that bring your full revenue picture into HubSpot, make it reportable, and put it in reach of Breeze. The second half covers an expanding set of Payments features, including two brand new APIs that let teams build exactly the payment flows their business requires.

This story is about HubSpot becoming a genuine system of record for revenue — not just what was sold, but what was booked, how it’s changing, and what it means. Three connected releases make this real.

    Contract Imports (Live Sep 11)

What is it? You can now use HubSpot’s native import tool to bring existing contracts into HubSpot in bulk — including line items and associations with contacts and deals. Once imported, contracts sit alongside contracts created natively in HubSpot for management, reporting, and renewal workflows.

Why does it matter? Historically, getting value from Revenue Hub has required starting fresh or recreating contracts one by one. Whether your contracts live in Salesforce, a billing tool, or a spreadsheet, you can now migrate them in bulk and immediately start managing and reporting on your full book of business in HubSpot.

Available for: Revenue Hub Professional and Enterprise

Billing Migrations: Public Beta (Public Beta — Sep 3)

What is it? Merchants can migrate active billing relationships into Revenue Hub Contracts from a legacy billing system or from Commerce Hub subscriptions (HubSpot Payments or Stripe). The migration preserves original effective and line-item start dates, lets you choose a future date for Revenue Hub to take over billing, and keeps imported contracts in draft until they’ve been reviewed and explicitly activated. A demo walkthrough is available here.

Why does it matter? Switching billing systems mid-relationship is one of the riskiest things a RevOps or finance team has to manage — gaps, duplicate charges, and broken revenue reporting are all real risks. Billing Migrations gives teams a controlled handoff: contracts stay in draft until you’ve validated billing schedules and confirmed the first Revenue Hub billing date, so nothing activates until you say so. Recurring-revenue continuity is preserved, and when historical upgrades, expansions, or contractions are included, those changes can be represented in the MRR waterfall alongside future HubSpot billing schedules — making Revenue Hub Contracts a powerful new authoritative source of truth without disrupting your customers.

Available for: Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise. Also available to any HubSpot account enrolled in the Contracts Direct Create/Edit Private Beta

Revenue Reporting from Contracts (Public Beta Sep 11)

What is it? A full revenue reporting package built on top of the Contracts object. Includes four pre-built reports in the Analytics Suite, a Custom Report Builder integration using two new revenue event data sources, and API access to pull revenue events into external tools.

Pre-built reports: MRR Waterfall, Net New MRR, Booked MRR, Booked TCV — available under Revenue > Contracts in the Analytics Suite

Custom Report Builder: Use Contract Revenue (Booked) and Contract Revenue (Scheduled) events to build tailored reports alongside any other HubSpot data

API access: Pull revenue events directly to combine with external data sources

Why does it matter? Revenue is the clearest signal of business health — but it’s only useful when you can accurately see it. This brings your full revenue picture (one-time and recurring) into the same platform as your GTM data, so Marketing, Sales, Service, and Finance can work from the same numbers. Questions like “What is my TCV?” and “How is my MRR changing?” now have answers your whole team can trust.

Available for: Pre-built reports available to all hubs and tiers through the report library; Custom Report Builder requires Pro or Enterprise

Revenue Foundations Skill for Breeze Assistant (Public Beta Sep 4)

What is it? Breeze Assistant can now answer revenue questions — MRR, TCV, ARR trends — by reading data directly from the Contract object. Ask “What is my MRR?”, “What’s driving MRR change?”, or “How much TCV did we book last quarter?” from anywhere in HubSpot.

Why does it matter? This new skill means Breeze Assistant now understands post-sale recurring revenue from a dedicated source of truth. Until now, Breeze answered revenue questions using deal data, which is often stale, incomplete or inaccurate. Combined with the reporting package above, you get both structured dashboards and a conversational way to interrogate your revenue data.

    Available for: Public beta

Quote Approvals via Breeze (Live Sep 1)

What is it? CPQ quote approval workflows can now be triggered and actioned through Breeze. Approvers can review and approve or reject quotes without leaving their Breeze interface.

Why does it matter? Approval bottlenecks are one of the top deal-velocity complaints from CPQ customers. Routing approvals through Breeze reduces context-switching for managers and speeds the quote-to-signature cycle.

Available for: Commerce Hub Professional and Enterprise

More flexibility for buyers, more control for merchants

More Payment Method Options at Checkout (Live Sep 9)

What is it? Klarna and Affirm are now available for US and Canadian merchants to offer as payment methods on payment links and invoices. Buyers can choose installment-based payment at checkout without requiring any additional merchant configuration.

Why does it matter? Adding buy now, pay later options removes a friction point for buyers who want to spread payments — particularly relevant for mid-market deals where upfront payment is a barrier to close.

Available for: HubSpot Payments merchants in the US and Canada

Self-Serve Remove Stored Payment Methods (Live — Aug 27)

What is it? Buyers can now remove stored payment methods from their customer portal without contacting the merchant.

Why does it matter? Removes a support burden from merchants and addresses a common compliance expectation, especially for portals serving UK customers.

Available for: All portals with HubSpot Payments or Stripe payment processing enabled

Lock Contact Email on Form + Payment Link Redirects (Live Sep 4)

What is it? When a contact submits a HubSpot form and is redirected to a payment link, their email address is pre-filled and locked on the checkout page, ensuring payment is attributed to the correct CRM contact.

Why does it matter? Closes a common attribution gap in form-to-payment flows, which matters for accurate revenue reporting and customer lifecycle tracking.

Available for: Portals using HubSpot Forms + Payment Links

New Revenue Payments APIs (Public Beta Sep 10)

What is it? Two new public API releases expand programmatic access to Payments: one for creating payment records and retrying failed payments, and one for reading and writing Checkout settings (default payment methods, fee configuration, address collection policies).

Why does it matter? Both actions previously required manual work inside the app. These APIs enable automation, multi-portal management at scale, and deeper integration for partners and agencies building on HubSpot Payments.

Available for: All hubs and tiers (public beta)

Your HubSpot Context, Ready to Work in ChatGPT: HubSpot Joins OpenAI’s New Small Business Collection

Hubspot adds its connector for ChatGPT to OpenAI’s new small business collection, making HubSpot context easier for teams to use inside ChatGPT. The release highlights faster meeting prep, follow-up drafting, pipeline reviews, and campaign analysis with existing HubSpot permissions preserved.

Running a small business means every minute counts. But somewhere between HubSpot and ChatGPT, a surprising amount of time disappears: copying contact history, pasting deal context, rebuilding the same background from scratch before every AI conversation. The copy-paste tax wastes valuable time for a small team with a full workload.

The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT, which OpenAI refers to as a plugin, allows you to access HubSpot context within your ChatGPT conversation, so ChatGPT can see and act on your context, right from the conversation. The connector is now available in OpenAI’s new small business collection, making it more discoverable for small business teams to find and put to work.

What it looks like in practice

You have a call in 20 minutes. Instead of digging through HubSpot for deal history and contact notes, ask ChatGPT to pull everything including account context, open items, and risks, so you walk in prepared without switching tools.

@HubSpot Prepare me for my next meeting with [company]. Use the associated contacts, deal, recent emails, calls, meetings, notes, and open tickets to create a one-page brief with goals, risks, open commitments, a five-point agenda, and three questions. Then propose a prep note and one follow-up task for my review before adding them to HubSpot.

The call ends. Rather than drafting a follow-up from a blank page, ask ChatGPT to turn those notes into next steps already grounded in the deal context it has access to.

@HubSpot Use the most recent meeting or call with [company] and any notes I provide to summarize decisions, objections, and commitments. Propose the appropriate deal or ticket updates, a concise HubSpot note, and follow-up tasks with owners and due dates. Show every proposed change first, then apply only the items I approve.

Reviewing the pipeline doesn’t have to mean exporting data and writing analysis from scratch. Ask ChatGPT to surface what needs attention today and turn it into a plan.

@HubSpot Review my open deals and recent contact engagement. Build a five-item action list for today, ranked by urgency, deal value, close date, and inactivity. For each item, explain why it matters and recommend the next outreach. After I approve the list, create the corresponding follow-up tasks in HubSpot with sensible due dates.

A campaign just wrapped. Instead of manually pulling performance data, ask ChatGPT to analyze results, identify what drove conversions, and suggest what to do next.

@HubSpot Analyze [campaign name] for [date range], including its published landing pages, website pages, and blog posts. Identify the three biggest performance opportunities, recommend specific changes, and draft revised copy where useful. Then turn the approved recommendations into a prioritized set of HubSpot follow-up tasks.

Built for the whole team, not just AI pros

Any team member in sales, marketing, customer success, or revops can use the connector to get grounded, relevant outputs from day one. AI should be easy to use and easy to trust across your whole team, not just your most AI-savvy teammates.

A note on permissions: The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT mirrors your existing HubSpot permissions; what you can access inside HubSpot is exactly (and only) what you can access through ChatGPT. For team-wide rollouts, a super admin must install and configure the connector first.

Haven’t installed it yet? Connect HubSpot to ChatGPT and claim $50 in ChatGPT credits.

New users who install and run the HubSpot connector for the first time are eligible for $50 in ChatGPT credits. Available to eligible ChatGPT Business users who haven’t previously installed and used the connector. Terms apply.

The August 2026 Industry Edit: Essential HubSpot Updates

Hubspot adds August 2026 product updates that bring AI and automation deeper into support, sales, billing, content, and governance, including new pricing tools, multi-IDP SSO, smarter invoices, workflow-preserving merges, and broader integrations across channels and industries.

August’s updates push AI deeper into the places where work actually happens: support queues, deal pipelines, billing flows, and the content strategy layer, giving practitioners more automation without giving up control.

Below is a breakdown of 2–3 updates per industry and why they matter for your day-to-day.

The August 2026 Product Updates roundup has the full picture, or browse the full product deck here.

Missed last month’s highlights? Check out the July 2026 Industry Edit here.

Pro Tip: If you want to see exactly what’s live in your specific portal, just click your profile picture → Product Updates. It’s the easiest way to see what’s in Beta or coming down the pipeline for your specific tier. Note: some features are in Public Beta, so you’ll need to opt in from that screen to activate them. You can check out this Knowledge Base article if you need a walkthrough.

    B2B SaaS and Software

    • Company Surge Signals from Bombora: Bombora’s third-party intent data is now natively in HubSpot, showing which accounts are spiking in research activity before they ever visit your site. For SaaS teams running ABM, you can now trigger outreach sequences, adjust lead scores, and build segments off surge signals without a separate Bombora integration or data export.
    • Standardize Pricing with Price Books: RevOps teams now have a centralized place to define product pricing that sellers apply directly in the deal line item editor. If your sales team is managing multiple SKUs, tiers, or customer segments, this replaces the spreadsheet workarounds and keeps quote pricing consistent across every rep.
    • SSO with Multiple Identity Providers: HubSpot now supports multiple identity provider configurations in a single account, removing the one-IDP limit. For SaaS companies with employees authenticating through different systems (acquired teams, contractors, regional IT setups), this eliminates the manual workarounds that admins have been managing for years.

    Healthcare

    • Set Call Recording by Region: Admins can now configure recording rules based on caller region for inbound calls or call destination for outbound, so your portal automatically complies with recording consent laws without requiring reps to manage it call by call. For healthcare teams operating across multiple states or countries, this removes a meaningful compliance gap.
    • AI-assisted knowledge base category translation: Knowledge base categories and subcategories can now be translated using AI suggestions, and HubSpot blocks publishing when required translations are missing. Healthcare organizations serving multilingual patient or provider populations can close translation gaps in their self-service content without a manual localization workflow.

    Financial Services

    • AI-prioritized invoices and collection emails: Breeze Assistant now ranks open invoices by revenue impact and drafts personalized collection emails directly from the invoice index page. For financial services firms managing advisory fees or retainers, this surfaces high-value outstanding balances first and gets a draft ready to send without leaving the page.
    • App Install Governance: Super Admins can now centrally control which apps, including AI connectors for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, are allowed in the account, who can install them, and what data permissions each app can access. For firms with strict data governance requirements, this closes a meaningful gap in controlling what third-party tools can touch your CRM data.

    Manufacturing

    • Merges keep workflows running: When you merge duplicate records, the primary record now stays enrolled in its active workflows with its position and pending actions preserved. For manufacturing teams managing distributor or dealer records that frequently get duplicated through imports, this prevents nurture and onboarding sequences from silently breaking mid-run.
    • Sync recurring meetings to HubSpot: Recurring calendar meetings now automatically sync to HubSpot so every touchpoint in an ongoing series is logged without manual action. For account managers running weekly check-ins with distributors or key accounts, this means complete meeting history on every contact and deal record without anyone having to log a thing.

    Professional Services and Consulting

    • Associated contracts with project records: Contract records can now be linked directly to project records in HubSpot, keeping agreement and delivery context in one place for post-sale teams. If your firm uses HubSpot to manage both contracts and project delivery, your team can see the scope of work and the associated contract without cross-referencing separate records.
    • Clearer lead score history: Score history now shows the exact engagement activity or fit change that triggered each lead score update, with a hyperlinked event and timestamp. For consulting firms with longer sales cycles, this makes it much easier to audit why a prospect moved up or down in priority and defend that logic in pipeline reviews.

    Agencies and Marketing Services

    • Email frequency caps by brand: Marketers can now set individual email frequency limits per brand in a multi-brand portal, so one client’s sending cadence cannot inadvertently suppress another’s audience. For agencies managing multiple brands in a single portal, this is the control that prevents one aggressive send schedule from burning contacts who belong to a completely different client.
    • AEO recommendations show Estimated Citation Lift: Each AEO recommendation now displays a projected citation lift estimate so you can rank content changes by expected impact. For agencies managing AEO strategy across client sites, this lets you prioritize which recommendations to action first and have a concrete number to put in the client report.
    • Send Claude Designs to HubSpot: Claude Design now connects directly to HubSpot, letting you build landing pages in Claude and push them straight to HubSpot as a draft. For agencies doing high-volume landing page work, this cuts the copy-paste step between design and CRM and keeps the iteration loop inside tools you are already using.

    Education and Events

    • AI-recommended video clips for social: The AI Clips panel in Social now surfaces pre-generated clip recommendations from your uploaded videos so you can find and insert a post-ready moment without scrubbing through footage manually. For education and event teams repurposing session recordings into social content, this removes the most time-consuming part of the process.
    • Breeze Assistant builds downloadable PowerPoint decks: Ask Breeze Assistant to create a slide deck and it generates a fully formatted, downloadable .pptx file you can open directly in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote. For teams that regularly produce recap decks, sponsor reports, or post-event presentations, this replaces the manual CRM data copy-paste step.

    Consumer Brands and Ecommerce

    • Customer agent sends payment links: Customer agent can now detect purchase intent in a conversation and send the right payment link in the same channel, whether that is chat, email, or WhatsApp. For ecommerce brands, this closes the gap between a customer expressing interest and completing checkout without needing a human rep to step in.
    • Customer agent looks up and sends invoices: Customer agent can now find, explain, and send invoices directly inside a conversation, resolving billing questions in-channel. For consumer brands with high volumes of order and billing inquiries, this deflects a significant category of repetitive support tickets without any per-invoice setup.
    • Snapchat Ads Integration: Snapchat leads now flow into HubSpot in real time, creating or updating contacts within seconds of form submission and ready for immediate enrollment. For consumer brands running paid acquisition on Snapchat, you can now close the follow-up delay and send conversion milestones like MQL or Won back to Snapchat to optimize campaigns on actual pipeline results.

For Any Industry: How to actually stay on top of this

You don’t need to action every update at once. Two quick habits will keep you ahead:

    1. Ask Breeze Assistant: Drop into Breeze Assistant and ask: “What’s new in Help Desk this month?” or “What workflow features launched this month?” — it’ll summarize what’s relevant to you.
    2. The “New To You” tab: Under Profile → Product Updates, the ‘New to you’ filter shows what’s changed in your portal since you last logged in. It’s the fastest way to see what’s ready to activate.

    Hubspot

The new streamlined index is rolled out to all customers

Hubspot releases a major Smart CRM index upgrade for all portals, rebuilding the Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, Tasks, and Custom Objects index to be faster, easier to customize, and richer with flexible views, report view, AI insights, and simpler property management.

HubSpot’s Smart CRM index page got a major upgrade — and it’s live now for all portals.

The index, where you manage Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, Tasks, and Custom Objects, has been rebuilt. It’s streamlined, easier to use, and displays insights in the same place where you’re already working.

    Why does it matter?

The changes will make your team more productive, once they know what they are. Keep reading to learn how to orient your team quickly and make your data more actionable.

    What changed?

You told us the index was overwhelming and not flexible enough. So we rebuilt it from the ground up to be faster and easier to customize, and keep you in one place instead of jumping around the product or keeping multiple tabs open.

    Some key differences:

    • View settings are easier to find. Everything you need to adjust the look and feel of your index is right there on the page. No need to navigate to Settings.
    • Flexible views help you see your data differently. See your Contacts in board view, your Tasks in Gantt view, and your pipeline in report view, without leaving the index.
    • Filters and metrics are collapsible. Hide what you don’t need. Display it when you do. Having less to look at helps you focus on your work, not the UI.
    • Report view, right on the index. See your data as a report without opening a separate dashboard.
    • AI insights on columns. Click a button and Breeze Assistant generates insights across your records. It’s a quick way to spot what’s working or not — and why — without time-consuming manual work.
    • Property management in one place. Add columns, create properties, or use Data Agent to build a smart property without switching apps or opening another tab.

    Get your team oriented

The resource center has everything you need: demos, a training guide built for reps, Knowledge Base articles, and more.

    Hubspot

Six releases that tighten the quote-to-cash motion

Hubspot releases a broad Revenue Hub update with AI Invoice Prioritization now GA, plus new Billing settings, GA Price Books with Breeze import, tax registration monitoring, contract-to-project associations, and a public Payments Account READ API to streamline billing, CPQ, and payments workflows.

AI Invoice Prioritization graduated to general availability this month, making Breeze-powered invoice ranking and collection email drafting available to all portals. And the Revenue stack keeps building: five additional releases shipped across CPQ, Billing, and Payments in the last two weeks, from billing configuration controls to contract-to-project associations and a new public Payments Account API in public beta.

AI Invoice Prioritization (GA — August 7)

What is it? Users can now let Breeze rank their open invoices by revenue impact — directly from the invoice index page — and draft personalized collection emails for each. The prioritization engine scores invoices across three dimensions: revenue risk, customer risk, and invoice risk. Breeze surfaces its reasoning alongside each ranking, so reps can understand why a given invoice is flagged.

Why does it matter? AR teams historically approach collection manually — oldest invoice first, or largest balance first. That logic misses the picture: a $500 invoice from a customer who’s about to churn may matter more than a $5,000 invoice from a customer with perfect payment history. Breeze surfaces that nuance and removes the work of figuring it out. This marks Breeze’s first GA milestone in a billing workflow, laying the foundation for the agentic platform future.

Available for: All hubs and tiers.

    Portal-level Billing Settings (Live — August 11)

What is it? A new Billing settings page under Settings → Revenue → Billing centralizes configurable defaults for connected quotes and contracts. Settings include: automatically emailing invoices to billing contacts on invoice dates, sending invoices ahead of bill dates, enabling billing for quotes and contracts, proration defaults, and collection defaults. Previously, these had to be configured per-object or weren’t configurable at all.

Why does it matter? Two categories of merchants have been blocked by the absence of these controls. The first: merchants who want invoices generated by HubSpot but not automatically emailed (for example, European customers who need HubSpot invoices as input to an e-invoicing system like Peppol, but send them through a compliant external pipeline). The second: merchants who want invoices sent before the bill date, giving their customers’ AP teams time to review, approve, and schedule payment. Both are now unblocked.

Available for: Connected CPQ, Billing, and Payments (public beta) portals with contracts-setting or subscription-write access.

Price Books (GA — August 4)

What is it? Price Books graduated from public beta to GA on August 4. The GA milestone also added Breeze-powered import: RevOps admins can now upload a spreadsheet of existing price books and let Breeze handle the import, rather than recreating catalog data manually. The import path shows up as a new option in the Create dropdown on the Price Books index page.

Why does it matter? GA signals stability — and a commitment to the pricing catalog as a durable part of the Revenue Hub data model. The Breeze import lowers the cost of adoption for teams that have pricing data already living in spreadsheets or another CPQ tool, which is most teams migrating to Revenue Hub CPQ.

Available for: Revenue Hub Professional and Enterprise.

Tax Registration Obligation Monitoring (Live — August 4)

What is it? Automated Sales Tax customers can now track their sales tax registration obligations inside HubSpot. The feature monitors revenue and transaction volume across U.S. states and Canadian provinces, and alerts merchants when they’ve crossed into the “economic nexus” or a threshold that requires them to register, collect, and remit sales tax.

Why does it matter? Post-South Dakota v. Wayfair (2018), economic nexus rules mean that selling above a revenue or transaction threshold in a state — even without a physical presence there — triggers a sales tax obligation. For growing merchants, this is a compliance risk that’s easy to miss until it becomes expensive. Having this surface inside HubSpot, where the transaction data already lives, means merchants don’t need a separate tax monitoring tool to stay ahead of it.

Available for: Revenue Hub Professional, Revenue Hub Enterprise

Project to Contract Associations (Live — August 11)

What is it? Contract records can now be linked to HubSpot Project records. The association is fully configurable — teams can modify association limits and create custom labels to define the relationship between a contract and the project it belongs to. Contracts carry the full commercial context (products, revenue, billing terms, renewal dates), while Projects carry the operational work, so this connection bridges the revenue and delivery sides of a customer relationship in the CRM.

Why does it matter? For teams that manage implementation or professional services alongside a contract — onboarding projects, deployment engagements, or any delivery work that’s attached to a sale — there was previously no native way to surface that operational context from the contract record, or vice versa. Now the handoff between “deal closed / contract signed” and “project kicked off” is visible in one place, reducing the manual tracking that typically lives in spreadsheets or separate project tools.

Available for: Revenue Hub Professional, Revenue Hub Enterprise

Payments Account READ API (Public Beta — August 3)

What is it? A new public API endpoint allows developers to retrieve a HubSpot account’s payment status including enrollment status, payment eligibility, and transaction capabilities.

Why does it matter? Partners and developers building on top of HubSpot Payments previously had no programmatic way to check whether an account was enrolled and eligible to transact. That’s a practical gap for integration logic. For example, an ISV that gates a payments feature based on account status, or an onboarding tool that checks payment readiness before routing a merchant through setup. This API closes that critical gap.

Available for: All HubSpot hubs and tiers.

    Hubspot

New for Intent Signals: Company Surge®, Powered by Bombora

Hubspot adds native Company Surge signals powered by Bombora, bringing research intent data into standard intent tracking with no extra setup. It auto-suggests topics, shows company-level research levels, and lets teams act on signals in workflows, segments, scoring, and company records.

Hey there, community! Justin here, PM for Intent at HubSpot. 👋

I’m really excited to share something we’ve been building for a while: Company Surge® signals, powered by Bombora, now live and native in HubSpot — no existing Bombora account required.

As a marketer, you’re always looking for the clearest signal of who’s ready to buy. Visitor intent tells you who’s on your site — but what about the companies actively researching your category before they’ve ever found you? That’s the gap Company Surge® fills.

As an ops pro, you’re constantly looking for ways to sharpen the data powering your GTM motions. Better signals mean better-segmented audiences, smarter triggers, and higher-quality pipeline — and now you’ve got one more source of signal to work with natively.

As a seller, you know context is everything. Company Surge® gives you something concrete: a company actively researching “CRM Software” or “Sales Intelligence” is a company in-motion. That’s a reason to reach out, not a guess.

Now, as a HubSpot customer, you get access to this research intent data as part of your standard intent signal tracking. No extra setup required. This is one more powerful signal in your toolkit.

    What Are Company Surge® Signals?

When a company starts spiking on a topic tied to your category, HubSpot shows that activity on their record as a Company Surge® signal. If they’re spiking on multiple related topics at once, that’s your cue to reach out. The data is powered by Bombora’s B2B Data Co-op, a one-of-a-kind data source that reflects the research activity of millions of companies across thousands of trusted publisher and business website sources.

    A few things worth knowing:

    • High / Medium / Mild / Low research level. We translate Bombora’s research intensity score into simple High, Medium, Mild, and Low levels—making it easy to see how strongly a company is researching a topic.
    • “Powered by Bombora” attribution. Signals are clearly labeled so you know where the data is coming from.
    • Up to 12 topics per portal. You (or HubSpot, automatically — more on that below) pick the topics that map to your buyers’ research journey.
    • Company-level, not contact-level. Company Surge® detects intent at the company level — clean signal, ideal for account-based motions.

    How to Get Started

You can be up and running in two steps.

Step 1: Review and Customize Your Topics

Here’s something we’re proud of: HubSpot automatically selects up to 12 Bombora research topics for your portal based on your website. By the time you go in to configure, we’ve already done the legwork.

To review or adjust your topics, go to Marketing > Buyer Intent > Signals tab, find the Company Surge® signal in your My Signals panel, and click Select Topics. From there, you’ll see your auto-selected topics and can add, edit, or remove them. You can search by keyword to explore Bombora’s full topic library and swap in topics that map better to your ICP.

If you find you want access to a deeper volume of Bombora data, you can always reach out to the Bombora team directly to explore their plans.

Step 2: Act on the Signal

Every Company Surge® signal automatically fires as a company event — complete with topic, category, research level, and top metro areas — on the company record — for every company you’re already tracking. That means there’s no extra configuration to unlock this: if a company is being tracked for your standard signals, they’re being tracked for your Bombora topics too, at no additional cost.

From there, the signal flows everywhere standard intent signals already flow:

    • Workflows: Trigger a rep notification when a tracked account hits “High” research level on one of your topics. Create a task. Enroll associated contacts in a sequence. Build intent into your existing automated motions.
    • Segments: Build a segment of “Companies with high research level in the last 14 days” for targeted campaigns or ad audiences.
    • Lead Scoring: Factor level of research activity tied to your chosen topics into your company scoring. High research level = points. Your hottest accounts rise to the top automatically.
    • Company Records: Reps see the signal right on the record activity timeline without leaving HubSpot.
    • Company Index: Use the Recent Intent Signals company property to segment and save views for companies that have detected Company Surge signals.

    Why This Matters

Company Surge® signals are included in your standard company tracking cost. Every company you’re already tracking gets Bombora intent intelligence added to the same feed as your 40+ other standard signals — visitor intent, news events, job changes, and more. One tracking cost, one place to act.

That’s the bet behind this: Bombora’s research intent data, fully native in HubSpot, working seamlessly with everything you’ve already built.

And if you’re getting serious signal value and want to go even deeper — more topics, more data volume — Bombora has plans for that. This is a great starting point.

Try it out — go check your auto-suggested topics, make any adjustments, and let us know what you see firing in the comments. Especially curious to hear which topic combinations are working well for different ICP types. I’ll be in the thread.
