MCP Server (Beta) Now Available

We’ve released the beta version of Convert’s MCP (Metrics Collection & Processing) Server, enabling faster and more scalable tracking infrastructure. It sets the foundation for performance improvements in both data collection and reporting.

New SPA Mode in Visual Editor

Building experiences for Single Page Applications (SPAs) just got easier. Our new SPA Mode improves how changes are rendered and retained in the Visual Editor, giving you a smoother and more reliable editing experience.

Custom Prompts in the AI Wizard

Unleash more creative flexibility with the AI Wizard’s new custom prompts feature. Tailor AI suggestions to your own tone, structure, or test ideas—right within the editor.

Global JavaScript Per Environment

You can now define Global JS specific to each environment (e.g., Staging, Production). This brings cleaner separation of logic and better control when deploying or debugging across environments.

Convert Compass Now Supports More File Types

Convert Compass now accepts more than just images! You can upload and manage additional file types like PDFs, text files, videos, and more—making asset management more versatile for your team.

We’ve introduced two new extensions for Shopify merchants using Convert: the Theme Extension and Web Pixel Extension, designed to offer seamless A/B testing and reliable revenue tracking across storefronts.

Theme Extension v1.0.0

• Automatically injects the Convert Tracking Script v1 if not already present on your store.
• Ensures backward compatibility for stores already using the legacy tracking script.
• Collects bucketing data and stores it in cookies and/or localStorage for tracking consistency.
• Optionally updates Cart Attributes when Shopify Webhooks are enabled through the app UI.

Web Pixel Extension v1.0.0

• Reads bucketing data from localStorage or cookies set by the Theme Extension.
• Optionally tracks conversions even when using Shopify Cart Permalinks.
• Subscribes to Shopify Standard Events for accurate conversion tracking.
• Revenue is tracked on the checkout_completed event only, while conversion events trigger once per session.
• Supports optional revenue tracking for subscription and non-subscription goals configured in the app.
• Multi-currency support: optionally apply exchange rates based on user settings in the app UI.

Convert Signals: Real-Time Event Visualization

With the new Convert Signals interface, you can now visualize incoming events in real-time, ideal for debugging, QA, and understanding how your goals and experiences are behaving live.

Multi-Armed Bandit Testing

We’ve introduced Multi-Armed Bandit support as an experiment type. This allows automatic traffic redistribution toward better-performing variations to help you maximize conversions faster, especially in high-traffic scenarios.

In-App Tracking Script Verification

You can now verify if the Convert tracking script is correctly installed—right from within the Convert App. A simple visual cue lets you know if the script is active on your connected site.

Bulk Goal Management

Managing goals just got easier. You can now perform bulk actions (such as delete or assign) across multiple goals at once, improving efficiency and project scalability.

• QA Overlay Without Chrome Extension The QA Overlay can now be used without needing the Chrome Extension, making it easier to validate experiments across browsers.

• Enhanced Statistical Testing: One-Tailed Test Direction We’ve expanded our Frequentist Stats capabilities by allowing users to specify left-tailed or right-tailed tests for one-tailed test types, improving statistical precision.

• Optional Event Codes for Shopify Event codes displayed on Shopify order pages can now be enabled or disabled, providing flexibility based on your tracking needs. Read more here.

• Tracking Script Updates Our tracking script has been updated to ensure optimal performance and reliability:

  • Critical events, such as conversions, are now sent immediately to ensure they’re captured, even if a user navigates away quickly.
  • Google Analytics consent detection ensures we capture the first page view and log experience impressions accurately.
  • Operating system values are now aligned with the latest configuration guidelines for improved audience rule processing.
  • Tracking signals inside iframes are skipped, preventing unnecessary errors around IndexedDB access.

• Image Upload Limit and SVG Support in Visual Editor: We’ve recently enhanced the Visual Editor to provide better functionality and support for your projects. Now, you can upload up to 50 images per hour per account-project, ensuring smoother project management and streamlined workflows. Additionally, the Visual Editor fully supports SVG image uploads, allowing you to directly incorporate high-quality, scalable graphics into your experiments.

• Environments for Organized Experimentation: Introducing Environments – distinct sections designed to run your experiments separately. This feature enables better organization and segmentation of testing efforts across projects. Read here.

• Live Duration Insights & Estimator: Gain deeper insights into your experiment timelines with the Live Duration Insights or Live Duration Estimator feature. It provides an accurate forecast of when an experiment is expected to complete, empowering better decision-making and planning.

• Import/Export Capabilities: Easily import and export key experiment elements such as goals, hypotheses, experiences, locations, and audiences. This feature simplifies project management and facilitates sharing and replication across teams.

• Observe: From Idea to Validation: The Observe feature enriches the hypothesis-building process with Observations and a Knowledge Base integration. This addition transforms the lifecycle from ideation to validation, offering a seamless pathway to experimentation.

• Change History Format Update: Convert's Change History format has been refined to display only updated elements. This concise view makes it easier to identify and review recent changes.

• Days Running in Completed/Archived Reports: Days Running is now included in reports for completed and archived tests, similar to active experiment reports, to assist in experiment analysis.

• Dynamic Triggers: It allows users to control when and how experiments are activated. By offering various trigger options, it ensures that experiments are launched at the most appropriate moment, improving both performance and user targeting.

🧪 Beta tracking Script:

• Convert has released a new tracking script in Beta which improves speed by 35%. You can find the Beta script under Projects > Configuration > Tracking code. Example:

🧩 Inject Tracking Code Option in Convert Chrome Extension v. 1.6.0:

• We added the inject tracking code panel here which allows you to inject the convert tracking code to any website that you like.

🕒 New Time Display:

• Time formatting is now clearer in the app and the below image captures the new changes.

📱 Mobile responsive overview page:

• If you are on the road and quickly need to start or stop an experiment or project, we have now made the overview pages mobile-friendly for those urgent cases with the key actions we expect you’ll need as big as possible.

👯‍♀️ Clone audience:

• You can now clone an audience by clicking on the 3 dots next to the audience name and clicking Clone audience:

📆 Days running summary:

• You can now see the number of days an experiment has run under the experiences tab.

📅 Sorting by Stopped Date:

• You can now sort the list of experiences by Stopped date.

🔗 Locations URL checker:

• You can now check the url you have added to the Location.

✏️ Editing Experience Name:

• Convert now provides an easier and clearer way to edit the experience name.
