Griply improves task scheduling and fixes several desktop, iOS, and keyboard bugs, including new drag-and-drop rescheduling for overdue tasks, cleaner search results, and corrections for archived repeating tasks, widget habits, password dialog sizing, and timezone issues.

    Fixes and Improvements

    Improvements

Drag overdue tasks to reschedule (Desktop): Drop an overdue task onto Today, a time-of-day section, or a calendar slot to reschedule it to today in one move. The same drag works in Upcoming, where an overdue task can be dropped onto any future day group.

    Fixes

Desktop: Fixed a bug where goal and life area time slots appeared in search results, when they should only show on the calendar and Today.

Desktop: Fixed a bug where the input field on the forgot password dialog was wider than the dialog itself.

Desktop: Fixed a bug where archived repeating tasks still appeared on Today.

iOS: Fixed a bug where tapping a habit on the widget on Tuesday also checked it off for Monday.

Desktop: Fixed a bug where dragging a repeating habit to a later time in the upcoming calendar could make the habit disappear for that day in certain timezones.

Desktop: Fixed a bug where the space, "a", and "d" keys didn't register in the task name input when using the Polish (Programmers) keyboard layout on Windows 11.

Griply adds bulk multi-select for Upcoming, smoother Insights period navigation, and paste-based imports from Things 3 and TickTick. It also improves goals sorting on desktop and iOS, and ships several bug fixes plus performance upgrades across Upcoming, widgets, notifications, and calendar actions.

Upcoming Multi-Select, Insights Period Navigation, and Paste from Things 3 and TickTick

Clear a packed Upcoming list in a few clicks, step back through past weeks, months, quarters, and years on Insights, and migrate a task list from Things 3 or TickTick by pasting it straight into Griply. Desktop also gets a secondary deadline sort on the goals list, and iOS goals can now be sorted by Impact, Tasks, or Life Area from your phone.

    Features

    • Upcoming multi-select (Desktop): Select multiple tasks in the Upcoming list and apply one bulk action across the whole selection, from completing to rescheduling, relinking, retagging, or deleting. The Upcoming list was also rebuilt to improve the performance of large lists.
    • Insights period navigation (Desktop): Step through past weeks, months, quarters, and years on Insights with the new arrow buttons next to the period selector. The forward arrow is disabled on the current period.
    • Rolling periods replaced on Insights (Desktop): Browse any past week, month, quarter, or year directly instead of using 4w, 12w, or 12m ago. The 4-week, 12-week, and 12-month options are replaced by the new period navigation on Desktop. iOS still has the 4w, 12w, and 12m options for now.
    • Paste tasks from Things 3 (Desktop): Migrate a task list from Things 3 in seconds by pasting it into any Griply task row. Planned dates and deadlines carry across automatically.
    • Paste tasks from TickTick (Desktop): Migrate a task list from TickTick by pasting it into any Griply task row. Planned dates, start times, and durations carry across automatically.
    • Goals list secondary sort by deadline (Desktop): Spot the most urgent goal even when several share the same impact. The goals list now breaks ties by earliest deadline.

    Fixes

    • iOS: Fixed a bug where iOS users couldn't sign in if their desktop goals list was sorted by Impact, Tasks, or Life Area.
    • Desktop: Fixed a bug where the goal name wasn't visible in the drag preview when reordering goals on desktop.
    • Desktop: Fixed a bug where deleted tasks still appeared in the overdue section of the Upcoming tab.
    • iOS: Fixed a bug where deleted tasks still appeared in the iOS widget.
    • Desktop + iOS: Fixed a bug where deleted tasks still triggered push notifications.
    • Desktop: Fixed a bug where the tooltip showing a calendar event's full name was sometimes cut off.
    • Desktop: Fixed a bug in Upcoming where marking today's habit as completed, skipped, or failed removed it from today but didn't show it on the day of its next repetition.
    • Desktop: Fixed a bug where the Upcoming task list was very slow for users with a large number of habits and tasks.
    • Desktop: Fixed a bug where dragging a task on the calendar created a goal time slot.

Griply adds goal impact tracking, a unified Trash page, and bullet paste to turn lists into editable tasks in one step. It also improves habit scheduling and completed views, with desktop goal editing upgrades and a range of iOS and calendar fixes.

Goal Impact, Trash Page, and Bullet Paste

This release helps you see what really moves the needle on your goals, gives you a safety net for anything you delete, and turns a pasted list of bullets into ready-to-edit tasks in one step. You can now set an impact level per goal to show how much it contributes to your life area (or how much a subgoal contributes to its parent goal), recover deleted tasks and habits from a new Trash page, and create multiple tasks at once by pasting bullets into the inline task field.

    Features

Goal Impact : Set an impact level per goal to show how much it contributes to your life area, or how much a subgoal contributes to its main goal. Use it to focus on the goals that really matter.

Unified Trash Page : Delete with confidence. The new Trash page is a dedicated space to browse and recover tasks or habits you've removed.

Better habit planning in Upcoming (Desktop only) : You can now add extra repetitions for next week, or stop "repeat daily until completed" for specific weeks, right from the habit upcoming column.

Paste bullets to create multiple tasks : Paste a bulleted list into the inline task field and Griply opens a dialog with each bullet as a task. Edit them before creating, and assign goal, priority, dates, and more.

    Improvements

Smarter Habit Scheduling : Habits with targets (like 2x per week) are no longer planned on the first day or two of the week. They now repeat daily until your target is met, so you can hit your goal on the days that work for you.

Simplified habit schedule menu : We merged the "repeat" and "target" options into a single menu, making it more intuitive to set up a habit schedule.

Goal Impact filter : Filter your tasks based on the new goal impact property to zoom in on high-impact work.

Individual habit entries in Completed : You now see every completed entry of a habit in the completed view, not just the last one.

New goal table (Desktop only) : Edit progress, impact, start date, and deadline directly from the goal table, no need to open each goal.

Completed habit entries in the calendar : Completed habits now appear in the calendar on the day you actually completed them, not just on the day they were scheduled.

Dedicated goal metrics dialog (Desktop only) : Goal metrics now have their own dialog so you can edit them separately from the rest of the goal.

    Fixes

Desktop: Fixed calendar events from 21:00 to 09:00 being shown as all-day events across two days.

iOS: Fixed a goal progress bug where progress was not aligned with desktop.

iOS: Fixed not being able to set a start date when adding a new habit with "x times per month or year".

iOS: Fixed adding a description to a new habit not working.

iOS: Fixed drag and drop not working in Upcoming.

iOS: Fixed the date selection sheet being cut off when "show borders" was enabled in accessibility settings.

iOS: Fixed goal progress input being cleared when changing the date after entering progress.

iOS: Fixed duplicating sub tasks not always working.

iOS: Potential fix for the keyboard not responding correctly when entering a new goal progress update.

iOS: Fixed tasks from subgoals linked to a life area sometimes showing under "no life area".

Griply debuts Smart Lists to organize and filter tasks with saved dynamic views, real time updates, and sidebar access. New planning shortcuts plus smarter date filters include overdue tasks and a Next 14 Days window. Minor fixes boost stability and usability.

Smart Lists: Saved Views, Quick Planning, and More

We’re excited to introduce Smart Lists, a powerful new way to organize, filter, and find exactly the tasks you need. By combining filters across life areas, goals, tags, and priorities, you can build saved dynamic views that update in real time. We’ve also added some great shortcuts to make your planning faster than ever and fixed a few bugs for a much smoother experience. Whether you’re crushing "This Week's Priorities," staying ahead of "Overdue Deadlines," or finding those "Quick Wins," Smart Lists help you move from searching to focused execution.

Read our help center article to see use cases and examples on how to get started.

    • Sidebar Integration: Access your Smart Lists directly from the sidebar under "All Tasks," complete with live task counts.

Griply unveils a new feature request system with a public roadmap and upvote flow, plus a refreshed feedback experience. The release includes fixes across tasks, subgoals, calendars, push timing, and security/reset messaging for a smoother, more connected user experience.

Due to high demand, we’ve moved to a new feature request system to make it easier to suggest ideas, vote on what matters most, and follow our public roadmap. After updating, you’ll find a “Share feedback” button in the menu where you can request features or report bugs.

We’re starting fresh in this new board. While we still have your previous feedback saved, we’d love to see what’s most important to you right now. We’ve added the most popular requests so you can upvote your favorites. When reporting a bug, please include as much detail as possible, such as screenshots or screen recordings.

We’re excited to hear your ideas and continue building Griply together 💛

    Improvements

    • Fixed an issue where skipping an overdue habit would still show an earlier occurrence.
    • Push notification timing now updates correctly when you change timezones.

    • The desktop app window can now be moved around from the top bar in all side panels.
    • Fixed cases where tasks couldn’t be dragged onto the calendar on the Today page.
    • Improved goal progress calculation in certain edge cases.

Desktop update brings stability and smoother task workflows. Fixes include an offline install invalid public key error, multi‑task creation, correct reordering under goals, drag previews, fixed natural language date parsing, and focus staying in the input when adding the first task.

    Desktop

    • Fixed an “Invalid public key” error that could occur when installing the app while losing internet connection. Download the latest version to resolve the invalid public key error.

    • Today: You can now create multiple tasks in one go, without needing to click “New Task” each time.

    • Life Area View: When grouping life area tasks by goal, reordering tasks inside a goal now correctly applies the new order.

    • Goal View: When dragging a task inside a goal or life area, a preview of the task is now shown below your cursor.

    • Natural Language Input: Entering “next month” was incorrectly recognized as “next mon,” setting the date to next Monday instead of the same day next month. This has been fixed.

    • Goal Detail: When a goal had no tasks and you created the first one, the input field lost focus. Focus now remains in the input field, allowing you to create multiple tasks quickly.

Korean keyboard support fixes input issues and enhances smart text. Dates show the year when needed and completed tasks keep their original due dates. Goals and habits get clearer labels, better filtering, and streamlined subgoal grouping, plus a new Discord join option from profile.

    Fixes and Improvements

    Improvements

    • Support for Korean keyboard.
    • Dates are clearer: if a due date or habit is in a different year, we now show the year as well.
    • You can choose to show completed tasks in goal and life area details.
    • Archived goals no longer clutter your task lists.
    • Completed goals are now clearly labeled when tasks are grouped by goal. They stay hidden by default, but appear if there’s still an unfinished task inside.
    • Active filters are easier to spot thanks to a more visible filter badge.
    • Completed tasks now show their original due date instead of “236d ago”.
    • You can now join our new Discord community directly from the profile settings.
    • Goal hierarchies are easier to scan thanks to improved indentation in the goal list.

    Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where pressing Enter with a Korean keyboard created a task twice.
    • Korean characters are now correctly recognized when creating goals with smart text input.
    • When grouping a life area’s task list by goal, tasks from subgoals now show up correctly.
    • Fixed an issue where archived habits from other life areas could appear when a life area had no goals.

New Move to popup lets you move goals and life areas; breadcrumbs and motivational context boost navigation. Quick Entry stays open when clicking outside to paste text; overdue tasks sort older first. Various fixes improve Habits, subgoals, and iOS layout.

    Fixes and Improvements

    Improvements

    • New “Move to” popup to move goals into other goals or directly into another life area.
    • Breadcrumbs in the goal detail view for faster navigation, and a small motivational boost by showing which goal and life area your current work contributes to.
    • The Quick Entry window now stays open when clicking outside, so you can copy text or URLs from other apps and paste them into the description field. Download the latest version of our desktop app to use this behavior.
    • Overdue tasks are now always sorted from old to new. The applied sorting won't affect the overdue sorting anymore.

    Fixes

    • Habits could appear before their start date if the start date was within the current week.
    • Changing a habit’s duration would reset the start date to today. This no longer happens.
    • When you removed the last habit occurrence in a specific week or month, a skip is no longer added on the last day.
    • “Turn into main goal” wasn’t available for all subgoals. With the new "Move to" menu, any goal can now be turned into a main goal or a subgoal.
    • A habit could disappear from a goal after being completed for the week.
    • iOS: Content could appear behind the tabs in a Life Area.
