Improving KBA accuracy and usability
We’ve upgraded our Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) experience to align with trusted industry standards, like LexisNexis-style verification, giving recipients clearer, more relevant questions. This reduces friction and improves completion rates, especially in the kind of regulated workflows necessary for finance, tax, and legal.

What’s new in PandaDoc – March 2026
Pandadoc unveils a bold wave of updates, from AI email drafts and data extraction to starter plan payments and a polished recipient experience. Notary improvements, new admin certifications, and a redesigned editor are on the horizon, signaling a faster, simpler PandaDoc.
Hey there, productivity champion 👋
Welcome to the Year of the Horse, which is all about bold advancements, speed, and freedom. PandaDoc is following suit with smarter workflows and seamless automation that helps teams move faster without losing control. This month’s PandaDoc updates are packed with things worth getting excited about. From AI that actually gets you to payment functionality you can trust, PandaDoc is even more delightful for you and your recipients to use.
In the spotlight
AI email suggestions
Writer’s block? Not on our watch. Now you can generate personalized email drafts instantly when sending documents. Just pick your tone (friendly, formal, or straight-to-the-point) and let AI do the heavy lifting. It’s like having a really helpful coworker who never needs a coffee break.
AI shortcuts
Your new secret weapon for getting things done faster. With AI shortcuts, you can search, organize, summarize, or track recipient analytics in seconds. These conversational shortcuts turn your most tedious tasks into quick wins, no manual hunting required.
AI data extraction
Let AI do the boring stuff. AI data extraction automatically captures critical contract data (dates, terms, values, you name it) from every new document. Search, filter, and report across your entire portfolio without breaking a sweat. Your spreadsheets will thank you.
Payments for Starter and Free plans
Big news for our early-stage rockstars: We’re bringing full payments functionality to Starter and Free plans via Stripe. Now all PandaDoc customers can accept payments, meaning zero friction with maximum flexibility. Get paid faster, impress clients, and keep your competitive edge sharp.
Small but Mighty
Sometimes the best updates are the ones you feel rather than see.
Enhanced recipient signing experience
We’ve given the signing journey a serious glow-up: mobile-optimized navigation, fewer clicks, clearer guidance, and a sleeker interface. Your document recipients will breeze through signatures like never before. Check out how to enhance the recipient experience with these settings.
Notary: Pre-session ID verification
More control plus more security equals more peace of mind. Signers can now complete identity verification before connecting with a notary, making on-demand notarization sessions shorter, faster, and more efficient. This release covers single-signer sessions, which represent 40% of all on-demand volume.
Notary: Custom digital certificates
Some states, such as Texas and Kentucky, require notaries to use an x.509 digital certificate issued directly to them. If this applies in your state, you’ll need to enable signing with a custom digital certificate in PandaDoc Notary.

PandaDoc CRM integration guide: Connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive without Zapier
PandaDoc adds native CRM integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive—no Zapier needed. Auto-fill, in-app tracking, and CRM workflows keep proposals moving by syncing data and documents directly in your CRM.
PandaDoc CRM integration guide: Connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive without Zapier
Author
Keith Rabkin Keith Rabkin President of PandaDoc
Let’s start with the most important question: can I use PandaDoc with my CRM?
The short answer is, yes!
With PandaDoc, you can integrate directly into top platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive. The best part? No Zapier required.
With our integrations, you can bring all of your CRM data into PandaDoc templates easily, allowing you to create professional documents in just a few minutes. You can also track their progress without switching between tools. That’s because PandaDoc keeps your document workflows fast, accurate, and connected to the systems you already rely on.
In this guide, we’ll cover which CRMs are supported, how the integrations work, and why they matter for your sales and marketing teams. Why direct CRM integrations matter (vs. using Zapier)
Zapier is great for connecting apps without having to code, which is why a lot of teams use it to automate their routine tasks. But when it comes to CRMs and document workflows, Zapier might not be the best way to go.
For example, every Zap makes your tech stack more complex, and if something breaks, troubleshooting can take up valuable time and slow your sales process. Zapier connections also tend to handle more basic data transfers instead of complex functionality, like real-time document tracking or automated triggers when a contract is signed.
Native integrations, on the other hand, offer better long-term stability and access to features geared specifically for sales and marketing workflows. This is because they are built and supported by the CRM and PandaDoc.
These kinds of direct connections sync your data for a smoother, more intelligent system that helps you manage deals and documents in one place.PandaDoc + Salesforce integration (no Zapier needed)
The PandaDoc Salesforce integration was designed for your teams to live inside Salesforce every day. It’s available through Salesforce AppExchange, and makes it easy for you to generate, send, and track your documents directly within Salesforce. This means your sales reps don’t have to leave their primary workspace.
When you install it, the integration will let you sync Salesforce contacts, opportunities, and data fields right into our PandaDoc templates. This means you can create proposals and contracts in a few clicks by auto-filling from your Salesforce records. All interactions are tracked, meaning you’ll see when a prospect opens, views, or signs any document.
Key benefits include:- Auto-fill documents with Salesforce data for fewer manual entry errors
- Track document engagement right inside the Salesforce timeline
- Trigger Salesforce workflows automatically when documents are signed
If your sales team handles high volumes of opportunities, this integration ensures that you don’t miss anything and your pipeline keeps moving forward.
PandaDoc + HubSpot integration (no Zapier needed)
Let’s say HubSpot is your CRM of choice. In that case, PandaDoc integrates seamlessly through HubSpot Marketplace. You can merge data from your deals, contacts, or companies into PandaDoc templates. Plus, native integration means you can manage your entire document process without ever having to leave HubSpot.
You can also add PandaDoc document creation and tracking into your HubSpot workflows so that documents are automatically sent at key stages of the buyer journey. This means that when a deal reaches the proposal stage, for example, a PandaDoc draft can be made immediately with any relevant HubSpot data already pre-filled.
Pretty simple, right?
Key benefits include:- Auto-fill proposals and quotes with HubSpot deal info
- View document status (sent, viewed, signed) directly in HubSpot
- Automate follow-ups, tasks, or emails based on document activity
Marketing and sales teams that want to align on lead nurturing and deal closing find this integration especially useful. All handoffs are smooth, and every customer touchpoint is personalized for a better experience.
Want a refresher on CRMs? Here’s our complete guide to CRM systems.
PandaDoc + Pipedrive integration (no Zapier needed)
Your team might use Pipedrive for its simple, visual pipeline management. In that case, PandaDoc’s Pipedrive integration, available through Pipedrive Marketplace, would be the way to go. Like the other integrations mentioned earlier, you can connect your accounts and start creating PandaDoc documents from within your Pipedrive dashboard in just a few clicks.
It automatically pulls contact and deal info into PandaDoc, which allows reps to draft quotes and proposals quickly and accurately. All documents are tied to the right deal, meaning your pipeline stays organized and up-to-date.
Sales reps are also able to track engagement metrics, like opening or signing a document, without having to jump between different tools.
Key benefits include:- Send proposals and quotes faster with pre-filled deal data
- Monitor document activity directly from Pipedrive
- Keep momentum high and close deals faster with fewer clicks
Small to mid-sized teams will find that our Pipedrive integration brings enterprise-level efficiency without the process getting too complex.
Streamline your CRM and document workflows
You don’t need Zapier or manual workarounds when you take advantage of PandaDoc CRM integrations. If you’re using top CRMs like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive, you can connect PandaDoc directly to your platform to create, send, and track your documents.
This means more accurate proposals, fewer delays, and smoother handoffs between your teams.

PandaDoc’s 2025 in review: The year we made documents work for you
PandaDoc delivers a year of major product updates. CPQ built into Salesforce and Pipedrive, automated Stripe payments, enhanced security, expanded API, and an upcoming AI execution layer aim to speed deals, boost visibility, and streamline revenue flow.
Create
We made it easier to build documents that work with the rest of your stack
Your books stay clean
Our QuickBooks integration made finance teams very happy. No more manually re-entering contract data into QuickBooks. No more reconciling from screenshots. No more wondering which version of the contract is actually final.
Now the data flows from quote to contract, to invoice to your books automatically. Finance teams have one source of truth and zero manual data entry, exactly how it should be.
Sell
Your CPQ lives inside Salesforce
We launched PandaDoc CPQ for Salesforce in Q1, and it changed the game for a lot of revenue teams.
Here’s what we heard for years: “I love PandaDoc, but my reps live in Salesforce. They don’t want to jump to another tool. They don’t want to copy data. They just want to create a quote and get back to selling.”
Fair point. So we built CPQ that lives natively in Salesforce. Your reps answer a few questions about the deal — company size, product mix, term length—and PandaDoc generates a quote that matches your pricing rules, margin requirements, and approval workflows. No tab-switching, no copy-pasting, no hunting down the latest pricing spreadsheet, it all happens in Salesforce.
PandaDoc CPQ came to Pipedrive
After launching CPQ for Salesforce, we knew there were thousands of teams running incredible businesses on Pipedrive who deserved the same experience.
So PandaDoc CPQ for Pipedrive brought that same native, integrated quoting magic to Pipedrive users. No more spreadsheets pretending to be CPQ. No more duct-taped workflows. Just clean quoting, real-time data sync, and pricing rules that actually enforce themselves.
If you’re a Pipedrive team, you know how rare it is to find integrations that feel truly native to the platform. But we built this one properly. Because you deserve tools that feel like they belong together.
Securely send and sign
Securely send and sign
We added enterprise-grade security that’s actually intuitive, fast, and simple to use.
High-stakes signatures that don’t slow you down
Our QES multi-signer brought Qualified Electronic Signatures to documents involving multiple stakeholders. Think: real estate transactions with five parties, corporate contracts needing sign-off from legal, finance, and executives or deals where “click to sign” just isn’t enough and you need genuine, verifiable, high-assurance signatures.
Life sciences teams can finally modernize their process
21 CFR Part 11 support opened doors for life sciences and healthcare organizations to bring their compliance-heavy documents into PandaDoc while meeting FDA regulatory standards.
For years, these teams relied on outdated systems that couldn’t keep pace with modern workflows. Now they can use contemporary document software while maintaining full regulatory compliance. Clinical trial documents, lab protocols, regulatory submissions—all in PandaDoc, all compliant, all faster than before.
Track and report
We gave you visibility into what’s actually happening with your documents.
Actually see what’s happening in your Deal Rooms
Rooms Insights gave revenue teams something they’d been asking for forever: visibility into what’s actually happening inside your shared deal spaces.
You know that feeling when you send a proposal and it just… goes quiet? You’re sitting there wondering, “Did they open it? Did they share it with their team? Are they ghosting me, or are they in internal meetings talking about it?”
Now you know. Rooms Insights shows you who’s looking at what, how long they’re spending on each page, who they’re sharing it with, and where they’re spending the most time. It’s like having X-ray vision into your pipeline.
Document analytics that drive strategic decisions
Document Insights gave GTM and RevOps teams clearer engagement data.
Not just “document viewed” timestamps — real insights. Where are people dropping off? Which sections are they reading three times? Where’s the friction in your workflow? When should someone from your team step in to help close the deal?
This is the kind of data that helps you fix your process, improve your templates, and close more deals.
Getting your business paid
We closed the gap between signed contracts and actual revenue.
You can finally get paid without the awkward back-and-forth
Here’s something nobody talks about: a signed contract is great, but it’s not revenue. Revenue is when the money actually hits your account.
This quarter, we focused on closing that gap.
Recurring payments with Stripe made subscriptions and retainers way easier to operationalize. You set it up once, and it just keeps working. No more manually creating invoices every month. No more chasing down expired credit cards. Just reliable, automated revenue.
Backup payment methods meant fewer failed payments and fewer awkward “Hey, your card was declined” emails. Your customer adds a backup card, and if the primary one fails, the backup kicks in automatically. Everyone’s happier, everyone gets paid.
Stripe invoicing rounded out the payments picture. Clean, professional invoices that connect directly to your contracts and automatically sync with your accounting system.
Invoicing isn’t glamorous. But getting paid reliably, on time, without drama? That’s deeply satisfying. So, that’s what we built.
API
We gave developers better tools to build on PandaDoc.
Developers got more flexibility
We expanded our API endpoints throughout Q2, giving developers more flexibility to build custom integrations, automate workflows, and connect PandaDoc to their unique tech stack. If you’re the person who builds the internal tools that make your company run, this was for you.
Integration got even easier for developers
API automated SDK generation made life easier for developers who integrate with PandaDoc. No more hoping the documentation is up to date. No more months of custom plumbing. Just clean, modern tooling that generates SDKs automatically and works the way you’d expect.
If you’re the person who builds integrations at your company, this one’s got you covered.
On the horizon
AI that goes beyond the status quo
AI was everywhere in 2025. Almost every company had an AI announcement… but most of them overpromised and underdelivered.
We’re taking a different approach. Instead of building another chatbot that gives suggestions, we’re building an execution layer. AI that actually creates documents, populates data, and routes workflows.
AI shortcuts in PandaDoc will let you draft, refine, and adapt content directly inside your documents. Need to make your proposal more formal? Done. Want to translate it for an international client? Done. Have to adapt your standard contract for a weird edge case? The AI will understand your template structure and help.
It’s like having a smart colleague who never sleeps and has memorized every document you’ve ever created.
This is currently in Early Access Program, with our full release coming in 2026 to a PandaDoc platform near you.
The receipts: what everyone else said about us
We shipped a lot this year, and there are more exciting things to come! But what matters more than what we think is what you think — and how the thousands of other teams using PandaDoc every day feel about us.
This year, PandaDoc earned a staggering number of G2 badges:
- G2 Best Software awards (Top 50 and Top 100) for 2025
- Grid® Leader badges in E-Signature, Proposal Software, Contract Management, Document Generation, and CPQ at global, regional, and enterprise levels
- Leader badges in niche categories like E-Signature API
- Seasonal badge refreshes (Winter, Summer, Fall) across all major product pages
Those aren’t just trophies for our office wall. They’re signals that what we’re building is working for real teams with real stakes. That the late nights debugging edge cases mattered. That the customer feedback we incorporated made a difference.
So thank you, seriously. Your reviews, your feature requests, your “Hey, what if PandaDoc could…” messages shaped this roadmap more than any internal brainstorm ever could.
What this all means for you
If 2024 was about proving PandaDoc could power your entire quote-to-cash journey, 2025 was about making it feel effortless.
We built CPQ that lives in Salesforce and Pipedrive. We added high-assurance signatures that don’t slow you down. We made payment workflows automatic instead of something you had to chase down. We’re bringing AI into your documents in ways that will actually help. We gave you visibility into your deals. We made the whole experience cleaner, faster, and more reliable.
We did all this not because we’re obsessed with features, but because we’ve sat in way too many meetings that could have been avoided if the tools just worked better. Because we’ve seen too many deals delayed by preventable friction. Because we believe the operational work — documents, workflows, getting paid — should be so smooth that you can focus on what actually matters.
Thank you for trusting PandaDoc with the documents that move your business forward.
If you’re already using these capabilities, we’d love to hear how they’ve changed your average workday. What’s working? What could be better? What should we build in 2026?
And if you’re still running parts of your process on spreadsheets or makeshift solutions, maybe now’s the time to see what a fully connected PandaDoc setup can do.
Explore what’s new in PandaDoc or talk to our team about bringing these upgrades into your stack.
Here’s to fewer broken workflows, more closed deals, and making 2026 even better.

The ultimate guide to PandaDoc CPQ for HubSpot
Pandadoc introduces its native CPQ solution for HubSpot, bringing guided selling, advanced pricing rules, and end-to-end quoting, eSignature, and payments inside the CRM for faster, more accurate sales workflows.
CPQ, also known as Configure, Price, Quote, is a software used to help sales and revops teams generate fast and accurate quotes for complex products and services.
Here at PandaDoc we are proud to announce we have the first and only native CPQ solution for HubSpot.
HubSpot’s CRM integrates with PandaDoc so you can access all your vital information in one place without ever having to switch between apps.
Sound too good to be true? We assure you, it’s not.
Read on for a walkthrough of how it works, peppered with real-life customer testimonials attesting to its powerful efficacy for their business needs, and why they’re never going back.
Fun fact: You can save 120 hours of manual labor each month by using HubSpot CPQ Integration. Here’s how HAAS Alert did it.
Key takeaways:
- CPQ can boost your revenue and cut down on time previously spent on lengthy admin tasks such as reviewing proposals and updating information in your billing/invoicing platforms for accuracy.
- Using the best CPQ practices, you can simplify and automate the sales process and quicken the quote-to-close sales cycle.
- You have the power to improve the buying experience with fewer fulfillment issues and clearer, more consistent pricing for buyers
- Our newly improved CPQ solution and guided selling tools are fully integrated with our Rooms, eSignature, and Payments apps directly within HubSpot, so you never have to leave the app.
What is PandaDoc CPQ for HubSpot?
What is PandaDoc CPQ for HubSpot?
When it comes to selling complex or intricate products and services, having a CPQ implementation is a must.
CPQ software will help you to reduce pricing errors while simultaneously improving the customer experience. Win/win, right?
With PandaDoc CPQ for Hubspot, you can accelerate the process of creating custom quotes via a custom rules engine.
For example, you can automatically include add-ons based on selected products, thus automating your ability to upsell customers.
You can also automatically apply discounts, incentivizing buyers to extend the duration of their contracts.
Or you can update the quantity of all other line items automatically when increasing the number of selected products.
CPQ software allows your sales team to have real-time quote accuracy based on a variety of factors.
It works via a custom playbook that you create for determining pricing rules, which automatically generates quotes from behind the scenes using data from the deal within Hubspot.
Company size, product bundling, discount rules, etc. can all be used in your custom logic statements based on your product catalog.
With PandaDoc’s embedded experience with Hubspot, you can automatically align deals with pre-defined templates, pass the quote into the document, edit it, and send it for signature all from within the Hubspot application.
The faster sales cycle can help you cross-sell, upsell, generate more customer renewals and increase your overall revenue.
Who wants to spend more time than necessary on admin when your team could be focused on selling?
Not us. We know how important it is to move along, while keeping everything smooth and accurate.

Take it from someone who’s been there, done that:
"In one day I can easily have six or more sales calls that need a proposal. Typically I’d wait until the end of the day to send them out. With PandaDoc, I can enter call details into HubSpot, create a custom proposal with dynamic pricing tables, and get approval from my boss all within 36 minutes. I no longer need to compartmentalize my sales tasks. This exact process previously would’ve taken me at least an hour per proposal." Matt Nyman, Client Success Manager at HPC

“We have done this process with over 150 clients. There’s no way we could have done it this year if we hadn’t streamlined it with the PandaDoc integration.” Pete Nicholls, Founder, HubDo

“We got started with PandaDoc, primarily for contract, NDA, and other signatures. Now it is a critical part of our sales process. We can go from LP conversion to a signed customized proposal in under 15 minutes. While I am on a qualifying call, I stitch together a proposal doc that includes cover sheet, cover letter, PLUS specialized case studies that fit their specific needs, along with an executable contract. It’s a great way to demonstrate speed and accuracy to a prospect, the eSignature functionality makes it fast and easy for customers to sign.” D. Sullivan.
"Upgrading our subscription to take advantage of PandaDoc CPQ for HubSpot has been well worth it. I had tried other CPQ options and they were all subpar. I’m super happy with our choice and can’t stress enough how much we needed this solution." Emerson McCuin, Director of Revenue Operations at HAAS Alert
Hungry for more PandaDoc CPQ for HubSpot benefits?
Ask, and you shall receive! We’ve whipped up a couple more features, benefits, and real-life happy customers for you.
- Advanced rules engine
PandaDoc's CPQ update now incorporates an advanced rules engine that guarantees adherence to pricing policies.
By offering better control over discounting, price conditions, and product bundling, this benefits RevOps teams with more accurate and compliant quotes.
- Guided selling
RevOps teams can now use a new guided selling feature, which is powered by an intuitive workflow builder, to assist sales reps with complex product configurations.
This feature streamlines sales by suggesting bundles, discounts, or configurations tailored to customer needs.
- End-to-end sales solution embedded in HubSpot
With complete integration, PandaDoc's CPQ solution becomes a natural extension of HubSpot, including Rooms, eSignature, and Payments.
This end-to-end solution is designed to meet the specific needs of SMBs, providing comprehensive support throughout the sales cycle. Unlike other CPQ providers, it takes into account the unique pain points faced by SMBs.

- Future vision: Towards quote-to-cash & additional CRM integrations
Although PandaDoc’s current CPQ doesn’t yet include full quote-to-cash capabilities (such as billing and subscription management), we have laid out plans to move toward this in 2025.
For now, the CPQ tool focuses on automating quoting and payments, with subscription management on the roadmap.
Not using Hubspot? You can still benefit from all the features listed above without them being directly embedded into your CRM.
But we are excited to announce that we will be rolling out an embedded experience for guided selling within all major CRM platforms one by one, so stay tuned!
