GPT-5.2:

With deeper multi-step reasoning, GPT-5.2 offers strong performance on coding benchmarks like SWE-Bench Pro, making it a good choice for complex analytical work, software engineering, and long-form reasoning.

Seedream 4.5:

This new image generation model from Bytedance provides more cinematic imagery, smarter instruction following, and stronger spatial understanding for crafting punchy imagery. It’s now available from the image generation model selector in account preferences.

Actionable answers

You can now navigate to websites directly from answers after researching tools, apps, and companies, helping you fluidly move from information gathering to action. Currently available on Web, iOS, and Comet in the US.

More chart improvements in Perplexity Finance

Perplexity Finance charts now provide even more advanced functionality to help you find the exact data visualization you’re looking for:

• Tap the three-dot menu in the toolbar to change the frequency of each tick on the graph.

Perplexity memory and personalization

Perplexity now remembers your threads and interests to provide smarter, faster, and more personalized answers. It works across all models and search modes, picks up on personal preferences like favorite brands, hobbies, and active projects to provide personalized, and even allows you to continue prior conversations with full context weeks later. And in Comet, Perplexity not only remembers your past threads but can even pull context from open tabs to deliver assistance tailored to you and your task.

You have complete control over what Perplexity remembers. View, delete, or turn off saved memories at any time in your settings. Memories and search history are automatically disabled in incognito mode. Read our blog post to learn more, and see memory in action by asking Perplexity things like:

Interface and navigation updates

We’ve honed Perplexity’s interface to feel more conversational while providing easier access to search results. Here’s what’s new:

• Chat messages: Your inputs are now displayed as a chat bubble in a simplified experience, supporting more natural back-and-forth exchanges across Perplexity and Comet Assistant.
• Universal tabs: You can now instantly access search results including Links, Images, Videos, Shopping, Places, and more directly from the top of each thread.
  These updates are live on web and coming soon to iOS and Android.

We’ve updated the sidebar menu on web to incorporate three popular requests:

• Library: Your Library of past threads is now at the top of the menu. Clicking opens your Library, while hovering reveals your bookmarks and an expanded list of recent conversations.
• Rename and delete: You can now rename and delete threads directly from the sidebar itself by clicking the ellipsis icon that appears for each recent thread.
• Customize: Control which shortcuts appear in the menu (like Finance, Academic, Shopping, and more) by selecting “Customize menu” from the “More” menu.

Virtual Try On

unlocks a new way to preview products in Perplexity by enabling you to create a virtual avatar to see how apparel items would look on you. Just search for the apparel you’re considering, select it and tap “Try It On”. Once you’ve created your avatar you’ll be able to preview new outfits in seconds. Get started by searching for things like:

Improved charts

We’ve supercharged the charts in Perplexity Finance charts with:

• Volume bars at the bottom of each chart
• Expanded tooltip on hover that shows Close, Open, High, Low, and Volume for every point
• Toggle to switch between area graph and candles
• “Compare” button to add time series for other assets to the graph (at the top of the chart)
• Simple moving average (via the new Indicators button at the top of the chart)

New Models: Gemini 3 Pro, Kimi 2, Grok 4.1

This week we added three new models for Pro and Max subscribers:

• Kimi K2 Thinking, hosted by Perplexity in the US, excels at long-horizon workflows that require sustained multi-step reasoning, ideal for complex programming projects, data analysis, research automation, and code review
• Gemini 3 Pro, the latest advanced model from Google, excels at multimodal understanding, combining reasoning across text, images, video, and audio to generate interactive visualizations and functional apps from natural language prompts, ideal for UI/UX prototypes, video analysis, and spatial reasoning tasks
• Grok 4.1 from xAI scores high on emotional intelligence and creative writing benchmarks and is well suited for creative storytelling, marketing content, sentiment analysis

Nano Banana Pro for Max

Max subscribers can now generate high-resolution images with Nano Banana Pro, Google's latest model that supports up to 15 reference images and excels at rendering text and diagrams. Nano Banana Pro is now the default image generation model for Max. Give it a try by:

• Visualizing a room you’re redecorating by attaching photos of what it looks like now along with the new furnishings you’re considering
• Summarizing a long document as a diagram
• Specifying lat/long coordinates to generate a photo of

Schedule Tasks in Spaces

You can now schedule, organize, and collaborate on tasks within a Space. Tap the Tasks icon at the top of your space on web to schedule a recurring query to run daily, weekly, or monthly and choose how you want the update delivered to you, whether in-app, via email, and/or as a mobile notification. People have scheduled tasks in spaces to automate:

• Preparing a competitive intelligence report on competitor announcements on a weekly basis in a Space dedicated for competitive research
• Gathering event announcements about upcoming tech events across different forums to include in a monthly newsletter around tech events in Austin
• Generating a detailed stock report on the tickets and market segments you follow on a daily basis in a Space dedicated to help you manage your stock portfolio

Inline stock and crypto prices

Live price information for stocks, cryptocurrencies, and other financial assets now appears directly within answers on web. These indicators show live intraday price movements; tapping them opens the Perplexity Finance page for that asset. Coming soon to iOS and Android.

Revamped timeline module on finance pages

The Latest Price Movement timeline is now available on ETF and crypto asset pages within Perplexity Finance. We’ve also revamped the timeline to be fresher throughout the day for intra-day price movements, and to give a deeper look at each day’s price swings.

Upgraded Comet Assistant

We launched major upgrades that significantly improve the performance and overall outcomes of the Comet Assistant. It can now handle more complex, multi-site workflows while working across multiple tabs in parallel. Our internal testing shows a 23% improvement in performance, so you can expect more accurate answers and more successful completions, even on long or multi-step jobs. Comet Assistant will now also ask for your approval before doing anything in your browser, remembering your preference throughout. Read out blog post for more details.

Privacy Snapshot on the Comet Homepage

Comet was designed with privacy and security at its core, and we're introducing new features that make it even easier to see and control privacy in Comet. These include a new Privacy Snapshot widget at the top of the homepage, making it easy to access and fine-tune privacy settings. Opening links and viewing sources from a Perplexity answer now preserves your original thread in Comet Assistant sidebar. This helps you browse more efficiently without losing context, breaking your flow, or needing to open an endless number of tabs.

OpenAI’s GPT-5.1 and GPT-5.1 Thinking models now available for Perplexity Pro and Max subscribers, providing more advanced reasoning and conversational style than their predecessors.

Faster, more accurate Library search

Instantly search the entire content of past conversations, including even the longest threads. Enhanced thread search provides swift, precise access to specific details from any part of previous exchanges, streamlining the process of finding exactly what’s needed. Now available across all platforms.

Flight Status

You can now check the status of flights on the go in the Perplexity iOS app. Flight status is also available on the Web, and coming soon to Android.

Football on Perplexity Sports

Perplexity Sports now supports both college football and pro football. Add a team to your watchlist to get notifications before and after games, or visit each league homepage (college, pro) for live scores, standings, odds, and news.

Perplexity Patents

This week we launched Perplexity Patents, the world’s first AI patent research agent that makes IP intelligence accessible to everyone. Perplexity Patents extends our citation-first approach to patent search, allowing users to search for patents without complicated keyword searches. During the initial beta Patents will be free for all users, and Pro and Max subscribers will receive additional usage quotas and model configuration options. Try it by asking Perplexity, "Are there any patents on AI for language learning?"

Email Assistant

Pro Subscribers can now try Email Assistant for 14 days. Visit https://perplexity.ai/assistant to get started. Email Assistant is always private — drafting and labelling never logs your email content, and all emails sent or received by Assistant are deleted after two weeks.

Flight status

You can now look up your flight status on Perplexity to get live status updates, including departures, arrivals, delays, and gate changes. Simply search for your flight number to view real-time details — available now on web and coming soon to mobile.

Sports

Our new Sports homepage that has a roundup of each day’s sports news, plus links to all of the leagues supported on Perplexity Sports, which now includes 10 new leagues across Tennis (ATP Tour, WTA Tour), Golf (PGA Tour, DP World Tour), Cricket (ICC), and Soccer (Champions League, Bundesliga, EPL, La Liga, Ligue 1). Each features live scores, standings, stats, news, and odds, and a watchlist to get notifications before games, matches, races, or tournaments for your favorite teams and players.

You can access the Perplexity Sports homepage directly at perplexity.ai/sports or via the left-hand menu on the Perplexity website.

Perplexity Finance

Perplexity Finance now lets you track the trading activities and portfolios of over 600 United States politicians. Visit the new Politicians tab for a ledger of recent Congressional transactions, or visit the Holders tab from an asset page to see which politicians have this asset in their portfolio.

This feature is now available for free to all users in Beta, and is available on desktop, mobile apps, and mobile web.

Sora 2 Pro

Max subscribers can now generate 12 second videos with Sora 2 Pro, OpenAI’s new and highest-fidelity video generation model. Simply type a prompt into the input bar on web, iOS, or Android to get started. No model selection needed - Sora 2 Pro will be used automatically for all Max subscribers.

Shopping and Travel queries now include generative filters that adapt to your search—making it easier to explore, refine, and discover the perfect product or destination.

Live audio streaming for earnings calls

Perplexity Finance pages now support live audio streaming of earnings calls. From the Earnings section of any company page (example), navigate to the Transcript tab and press “Listen” to join live — or tap “Listen from here” on any section header to start audio playback at that moment of the call. Now available on both web and mobile.

Insider activity in Perplexity Finance

Perplexity Finance now shows insider stock activity. This information is in the “Holders” tab of US equity pages. You can see a roster of insiders, as well as a historical ledger of their activity. For example, here is Michael Dell’s $1B stock sale from last week. Now available on both web and mobile.

Comet, Now Available for Everyone

The Comet browser is now available to download for everyone in the world for free at perplexity.ai/comet. In the past three months millions have joined the Comet waitlist looking for a powerful personal AI assistant and new ways to use the internet. Background Assistants

Claude Sonnet 4.5 and 4.5 Thinking

These new models from Anthropic are now available for Perplexity Pro and Max subscribers across Web, iOS, and Android and excel at agentic reasoning and complex coding tasks. Toggle thinking mode on and off via a new “With reasoning” control on Web.

Maps for Places Search

Looking for a restaurant, hotel, or travel destination? You’ll now see them on a map across Web and iOS, making local search and discovery more immersive. When combined with informed, visual answers for places, there’s never been a better way to research your next destination.

Currency Conversion

Get realtime conversion rates for international currencies, cryptocurrencies, and even gold and silver directly in Perplexity answers. Try searching “what’s $100 in jpy”, “BTC to AUD”, or “convert gold to dollars” to see it in action. Now available on web and iOS; coming soon to Android.

Discover Search

Search the latest news and stories on any subject with Discover. Whether it’s recent IPO updates for a certain company, information on scientific breakthroughs in a particular niche, or real estate prices local to your area, you can now search for the unique news topics that matter most to you directly within Discover. Now available on iOS.

Study Mode

Study Mode is now available to everyone using Perplexity. When you want to learn something step-by-step, you can now:

• Learn through conversation rather than getting an instant answer (try: “Explain photosynthesis to me step-by-step”)
• Get answers tailored to your level of knowledge

Max subscribers can now save an hour a day on their email inbox and calendar using Perplexity Email Assistant. Email Assistant slots cleanly into existing email workflows and performs the following actions:

Scheduling

Schedule meetings with ease by adding [email protected] into any email chain. No more back and forth - the assistant can handle different time zones, in-person meetings, rescheduling and more with ease.

Organizing

Cut through the noise faster. Email Assistant automatically labels your inbox to help you stay organized and focus on the emails that require your attention.

Drafting

Email Assistant drafts send-ready replies to emails you need to respond to on your behalf using your voice, tone, and relevant context from your inbox.

Image Model Selection on iOS

Last week we announced the addition of two new image generation models: Nano Banana (Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash image model) and Seedream 4 (from Bytedance). This week we’ve added the image generation model selector to iOS in addition to Web (coming soon to Android). Navigate to Settings > Image generation model to select your default model.

New App Connectors

New app connectors include:

• Email and calendar apps: Connect Gmail, Gcal, and Outlook to search across your email and calendar events. With the Gmail and Gcal connectors, you can also send emails and create calendar invites directly within Perplexity. For example: “Prep me for my meetings tomorrow and share the profiles and context of the people I’m meeting with.”
• Knowledge base and project management apps: Connect Notion, Linear, and GitHub to search across those tools as well as create and update documents, tickets, and PRs. For example: “Convert my Notion doc ‘September Launch’ into a Linear project with tickets, and assign them.”

This week’s launch builds on our existing file integrations with Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, and Box, available to Enterprise Pro and Max subscribers.

Go to your Connectors page to enable the connectors. (Enterprise administrators can configure connector access for their organization on the Permissions page.)

Enhanced Memory

Answers will feel more relevant and personalized to you as Perplexity becomes more adept at distilling your previous searches into topics you're interested in. Signed-in users across web, iOS, and Android now benefit from enhanced memory that will improve relevance for answers where cross-thread context is important, such as tailoring vacation ideas to your interests. The more you use Perplexity, the better answers will become. All controllable via settings.

New Image Generation Models

Generate images with Nano Banana (Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash image model) and Seedream 4 (from Bytedance), both now available in the image generation model selector for Pro and Max subscribers. Navigate to Settings > Preferences on Web to customize your default model choice, or let Perplexity pick the best model for you. (The settings menu is coming soon to iOS and Android.)

Laver Cup on Perplexity Sports

Follow this weekend’s Laver Cup tennis tournament at pplx.ai/lavercup or search “laver cup” on Perplexity where you can see rosters for Team Europe and Team World, follow live scores, and follow the tournament schedule and news.

Perplexity Finance is now available in the Perplexity app on iOS and Android. Start by typing “finance” to see a shortcut to the Perplexity Finance homepage, where you’ll find the full suite of feature availability from the desktop experience.

Hotel bookings on Perplexity now support loyalty programs. Travelers can add their loyalty number at checkout to unlock rewards, earn points, and maximize the value of every stay.

Streamlined PDFs

Creating and viewing PDFs with Perplexity is now even easier. In both Labs and Research modes you can simply ask for a PDF in your prompt and get a file in return. Click on the file to view it in a sidebar and to download it.
