Comet iOS Launch and Computer Updates - March 27, 2026

Perplexity expands Comet across iOS and major platforms and adds richer Computer tools, including inline editing, task controls, live credit tracking, and smarter long conversations. Deep Research also now creates presentations and other structured outputs, while Health and Finance roll out new capabilities.

    Comet iOS

This week, Perplexity launched Comet to all iOS users. With this release, Comet is now available on all major platforms: iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows. You can now ask Comet for research or work help from anywhere in the world. For the best experience, pair your mobile and desktop browsers with Comet device sync so you can teleport to Comet iOS seamlessly.

    Computer Updates

Inline editing for any Computer-generated asset: Draw a selection box over any part of a document, presentation, spreadsheet, web app, or PDF that Computer created, type a short instruction, and Computer edits just that region in place. No need to describe where the change should go — Computer sees exactly what you're pointing at.

Scheduled task management: A new homescreen view shows every scheduled task in one place. Each task can be paused or canceled on its own, even if it was created alongside others in the same thread.

Smarter long conversations: Computer detects when a conversation is getting long and now offers a choice — extend the full context for richer detail, or let Computer summarize and keep going at lower cost. The prompt appears inline without blocking the thread, and works on both web and mobile.

Live credit counter: A running credit total is now visible while Computer works, showing exactly how much a task has cost so far in real time.

Multi-select and bulk delete for tasks: Select multiple tasks from the task list and delete them in one action. Single-task deletion now shows a confirmation dialog before removing anything.

Markdown-first drafting with export on demand: Computer now drafts in lightweight Markdown by default instead of generating PDFs. Markdown outputs appear as clean reports in the thread, and can also be downloaded as PDF or DOCX at any time.

    Computer Enterprise Updates

    New Workflows

Computer workflows, currently available to Enterprise users, now include six workflows, with two new additions: website generation and website audit covering SEO/GEO, accessibility, brand positioning, and more. We are testing additional workflows and plan to make these available across Consumer accounts in the coming weeks. Access workflows from the task bar in Computer.

    Computer Connector updates

Performance improvements to connectors for more performant connections between Computer and our subscribers’ application ecosystem. We've added a Vercel connector and an improved Box connector for reading and writing files in Box. Also, subscribers can now request attachments to be added to emails sent via Computer (e.g. reports generated can now be emailed by Computer).

    Computer in Slack

Improvements to the Slack App to help new Perplexity subscribers in your Slack Workspace onboard and start using Computer in Slack. All new subscribers also receive extra promotional credits when using Computer in Slack. Add to your Slack workspace here.

Computer sandbox network security admin controls

New advanced security controls for enterprise administrators to configure internet access in Computer sandboxes. Access these settings in the Computer Configuration tab in Settings.

Multimodality & Asset Generation in Deep Research

Perplexity Deep Research and Pro Search now support creating presentations, spreadsheets, dashboards, websites, and other structured outputs directly within the product, bringing research and creation into a single workflow.

With multi-step reasoning across hundreds of sources, Perplexity already helps users synthesize complex topics in depth. Now, that same research can be turned into usable deliverables users can immediately put to work.

This is the next milestone for deep research agents: not just generating insight, but turning that insight into something tangible and actionable in the same flow.

In Pro Search or Deep Research mode, users can simply prompt, for example, “Create a presentation analyzing the AI agent market.” Rather than stitching together research, synthesis, formatting, and presentation across multiple tools, Perplexity brings the full workflow into one place.

Example Use Case: Create a presentation analyzing the AI agent market

    Health Computer

Perplexity Health is now rolling out to Perplexity Pro and Max subscribers. You can securely connect all your health data sources in one place, including medical records from over 1M providers, as well as your favorite apps and devices like Fitbit, Google Fit, Cronometer, Clue, and more.

These connectors are deeply integrated into Perplexity Computer, so you can go beyond just viewing data. You can ask questions, uncover trends, and even take action by building agents that analyze your health data, generate personalized plans, and help you reach specific goals—whether that’s managing chronic conditions, improving sleep, or optimizing fitness.

    Try asking Computer to:

    • Summarize my health data over the past 3 months and highlight any trends I should pay attention to.
    • Explain my latest blood panel and tell me what’s improving or getting worse over time.
    • Build me a custom dashboard to track my marathon training and highlight areas of improvement.
    • Track my glucose and activity trends and suggest ways to better manage type 2 diabetes.

    Finance Computer

Finance Computer lets you do your best financial research.

Perplexity Computer has 40+ finance tool calls that work out of the box, with no setup or authentication required. These tools pull data from authoritative sources: SEC filings, earnings call transcripts, FactSet consensus estimates, stock exchanges like NASDAQ and NYSE, Coinbase, and more.

You can now also securely connect your personal portfolio through Plaid.

Ask Computer to do things like:

    • Create a 5-year DCF for Nvidia, outputted as both a spreadsheet and a slide deck
    • Pull public comps for a private company
    • Create a tool that lets me search earnings call transcripts for keywords
    • Create a terminal-style dashboard that visualizes my portfolio

Perplexity releases a major expansion across Computer, Comet, Finance, API, and enterprise tools, bringing broader model access, new connectors, Slack workflows, Snowflake support, document review, premium data sources, and browser upgrades for Pro and Enterprise users.

Computer for Pro subscribers on Web and iOS

Perplexity Computer is now available to all Pro subscribers. Access the full suite of 20+ advanced models, prebuilt and custom skills, and hundreds of connectors — all from a single conversation. Max subscribers continue to receive monthly credits and higher spend limits.

Computer is also fully rolled out to the App Store as a new tab within the app.

    Try asking Computer to:

Plan a trip end-to-end: "Research the best time to visit Japan, build a 10-day itinerary with flights and hotels, and export it as a shareable PDF with maps and links."

Turn raw data into a finished report: "Here's a CSV of our Q1 sales numbers. Analyze trends, build charts, write an executive summary, and format everything as a slide deck."

Launch a side project in one sitting: "Build me a personal portfolio website with my resume, a blog section, and a contact form — then deploy it live."

Computer for Enterprise & Computer in Slack

Perplexity Computer is now available to all Enterprise Max and Pro subscribers. From a single prompt, Computer runs multi-step workflows across research, coding, design, and deployment. It routes tasks across 20 specialized models and connects to 400+ applications. Connect Computer to tools like Snowflake, Salesforce, and HubSpot, then ask it to write queries, build dashboards, and return structured results in seconds.

Computer integrates directly into Slack, responding to DMs and channel mentions to run analysis, generate code, and schedule recurring workflows.

Try using Computer for Enterprise to:

Query company data in plain English: "Pull quarterly revenue by vertical from Snowflake and compare year-over-year growth rates in a table."

Automate team workflows from Slack: "Every Monday at 9am, pull the latest pipeline numbers from Salesforce and post a summary to #sales-updates."

Run competitive research at scale: "Analyze the last 4 earnings transcripts from our top 5 competitors and build a comparison matrix of their strategic priorities."

    Comet Enterprise

Comet is now available for Enterprise organizations. Perplexity's AI-native browser comes with Comet Assistant for in-page research, summarization, and autonomous multi-step tasks like booking flights, managing email, and filling forms. Enterprise administrators can deploy Comet silently across macOS and Windows devices via MDM, configure hundreds of browser policies, and control exactly which actions the AI agent can take. All activity inherits existing Enterprise settings for data retention, audit logs, and permissions, and no data is ever used to train models. Security controls have been developed in partnership with Crowdstrike.

Accelerate procurement research: "Compare the top 3 vendors on this RFP shortlist, pull pricing from each site, summarize terms, and draft a side-by-side evaluation."

Navigate complex internal tools faster: "Walk me through our benefits portal and find the deadline to update my HSA elections."

Prep for meetings in the browser: "Summarize the last 5 emails from this client, check their latest LinkedIn posts, and draft 3 talking points before my 2pm call."

    Bring Your Own Connector

Pro, Max, and Enterprise subscribers can now connect Perplexity to any external tool or data source using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Add a custom remote connector by providing an MCP server URL, choose from OAuth, API key, or open authentication, and start pulling live data into conversations and Computer workflows. Enterprise administrators can share connectors across the entire organization and control whether members can add their own. Custom connector support is on top of the expanding list of 400+ prebuilt curated connectors.

Connect a proprietary CRM: "Add our internal CRM as a connector, then pull all open deals closing this quarter and rank them by likelihood to close."

Tap into internal APIs: "Connect our inventory management system and tell me which warehouses are below reorder thresholds this week."

Bring in specialized data sources: "Hook up our custom analytics MCP server and run a retention cohort analysis for the last 6 months."

Learn more: Help center — Adding Custom Remote Connectors

    Enterprise Computer Snowflake Connector

Enterprise organizations can now connect Perplexity Computer directly to their Snowflake data warehouse using a centralized service account. Once connected, Perplexity automatically generates a Data Map (a semantic layer that learns your schemas, tables, column relationships, and historical query patterns) so natural-language questions translate into accurate SQL without anyone writing a line of code. Ask about revenue trends, customer segments, or pipeline metrics in plain English, and get results grounded in live warehouse data.

Get instant answers from company data: "What were the top 10 customers by revenue last quarter, and how does that compare to the same period last year?"

Skip the SQL and go straight to insight: "Show me the month-over-month churn rate by pricing tier for the past 12 months."

Combine warehouse data with external research: "Pull our latest NPS scores from Snowflake, then research industry benchmarks and tell me how we stack up."

Learn more: Help center — Connecting Perplexity with Snowflake · Help center — Understanding the Snowflake Data Map

    Perplexity API Platform

The Perplexity API is now a full-stack, model-agnostic platform for building AI agents — replacing your model provider, search layer, and embeddings infrastructure with one API key. Four APIs are available: Agent API for orchestrating multi-step workflows, Search API for real-time web-grounded retrieval, Embeddings API for retrieval at scale, and Sandbox API (coming soon) for secure code execution. Built on the same infrastructure powering Perplexity Computer and used across hundreds of millions of Samsung devices and by 6 out of 7 of the MAG7.

Build with the Perplexity API to:

Ship a research agent in an afternoon: "Use the Agent API to build a tool that takes a company name and returns a one-page competitive brief with funding, product overview, and recent news."

Ground any LLM in real-time search: "Plug the Search API into your existing chatbot so every response cites live, verified sources instead of stale training data."

Power semantic search at web scale: "Index 100 million documents with the Embeddings API and retrieve the right passages in milliseconds, regardless of language."

    Perplexity Finance Computer

Perplexity Finance added three new capabilities this week that are integrated into both Computer and search:

Users in the US and Canada can securely connect their brokerage accounts to Perplexity via Plaid. Once your accounts are connected, you can ask Computer to create a personal terminal on top of your portfolio data. Connect your accounts in Perplexity Finance to get started.

Finance answers in Computer and Deep Research all have a traceability layer, letting you audit information back to its original sources, whether disclosed or derived. Answers are powered by 40+ tools that pull from SEC filings, FactSet, S&P Global, Coinbase, CBOE, Nasdaq, NYSE, and other authoritative sources — no setup required. This traceability interface is live today in Deep Research, coming soon to Computer. Try a Deep Research query like:

Break down Amazon's gross-to-operating margin bridge over the last 8 quarters: show gross profit, R&D, SGA, and D&A as a percentage of revenue each quarter. Then show the working capital trend — accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable in absolute terms and as days outstanding. How has the cash conversion cycle changed?

Polymarket data is integrated throughout Perplexity: as a tool that Computer can call, as supplementary information in Perplexity Finance, and as a graph that can appear in relevant answers (e.g. “who will win the nba finals?”).

    Premium Sources

You can now access premium data from CB Insights, PitchBook, and Statista directly from Perplexity Computer. Ask about market sizing, startup funding, industry benchmarks, or company data, and get answers grounded in sources that previously required expensive subscriptions and manual searching.

    Try researching with premium sources:

Size a market opportunity: "What's the total addressable market for AI-powered customer service in North America, with growth projections through 2030?"

Dig into startup funding: "Show me all Series B+ rounds in the climate tech space from the past 12 months, sorted by valuation."

Benchmark against industry data: "How does the average SaaS company's net revenue retention compare across company sizes, and what's the 75th percentile?"

    Learn more: Premium Sources announcement

    Final Pass: Document Reviewer

Perplexity Computer can now review documents as an independent auditing pass — checking for logical consistency, structural integrity, and factual accuracy without rewriting from scratch. Upload a contract, financial report, or technical document, and Computer analyzes it against strict constraints: cross-referencing claims, flagging contradictions, verifying formatting, fact checking against public sources, and surfacing errors that manual review would miss. Available to all Enterprise subscribers.

Access Final Pass in Computer as a workflow and use it to review any document: audit a contract before signing, verify a pitch deck or memo before sending it to the team, or proofread a marketing brief.

    Comet Desktop: Inline Assistant

Get AI help right where you're reading and writing. Select text on any webpage to fact-check, define, summarize, translate, or improve it — results appear in a floating panel right next to the selection. Click into an empty text field to draft a reply or generate text from scratch. Beyond one-click actions, there's always an open input to ask anything about the selected text or give a custom instruction. Read with more understanding, write with more confidence — without ever leaving the page.

Comet Desktop: Tab Group and Menu Redesign

Redesigned tab groups with new visuals, group badges, and a custom icon selector — so organizing dozens of tabs actually feels good. Pin your most-used groups to keep them always accessible, and watch agent activity come alive with new tab animations. The browser menu has been restructured with clearer entry points, making every tool and setting easier to find.

    Perplexity

    What We Shipped - March 6, 2026

Perplexity unveils Custom Skills to automate repeating tasks, Model Council for parallel frontier models, Voice Mode, GPT-5.3-Codex subagent for coding, and GPT-5.4 Thinking with wider availability. The update promises automated workflows, faster reasoning, and live orchestration for Pro/Max users.

    Custom Skills in Computer

Teach Perplexity Computer how to handle any task once, and it remembers forever. Skills are reusable capabilities — step-by-step instructions, preferred formats, specific workflows — that Computer applies automatically whenever they're relevant. Create a custom skill for any task performed repeatedly, and Computer will follow it every time without re-explaining.

    Try creating skills to:

    • Standardize recurring reports:
"Create a skill that generates a weekly performance summary with KPIs in a table, key wins as bullet points, and a 3-sentence outlook — formatted for Slack."

    • Enforce a personal writing style:
"Create a skill for drafting LinkedIn posts in my voice: concise, no jargon, always end with a question to drive engagement."

    • Automate research workflows:
"Create a skill that takes a company name and produces a one-page competitive brief with funding history, product overview, and recent news."

    Model Council in Computer

Run three frontier models at once and pick the best answer — now directly inside Computer. Model Council automatically runs GPT-5.4, Claude Opus 4.6, and Gemini 3.1 Pro in parallel, then synthesizes where they agree, disagree, and what each uniquely contributes. Choose your orchestrator model for full control over how results are combined. Available for Max subscribers.

    Try using Model Council to:

    • Make high-stakes investment decisions:
"Use Model Council to analyze whether TSLA is overvalued at current levels — compare bull and bear cases with supporting data from the latest earnings."

    • Stress-test a business plan:
"Here's my pitch deck for an AI startup. Use Model Council to identify the three weakest assumptions, and how each model would challenge them."

    • Get a balanced perspective on complex topics:
"Use Model Council to assess arguments for and against universal basic income, grounded in recent economic research."

    Voice Mode in Computer

Talk to Computer and get things done. Voice Mode brings natural conversation to Perplexity Computer — describe a project, give feedback mid-task, or redirect on the fly, all without typing. Powered by the same voice technology in Comet, now available directly inside Computer on web.

    Try talking to Computer to:

    • Brainstorm and build simultaneously:
"Build me a landing page for a coffee subscription service — actually, make it minimalist with earth tones and add a pricing section."

    • Run financial analysis hands-free:
"Pull NVDA's last four earnings transcripts and build me a chart comparing revenue growth quarter over quarter."

    • Iterate on a project in real time:
"That looks good, but swap the bar chart for a line chart and add annotations for the earnings dates."

    GPT-5.3-Codex Coding Subagent in Computer

Perplexity Computer now has access to GPT-5.3-Codex as a dedicated coding subagent, strengthening its ability to build, debug, and deploy software. When Computer encounters a complex coding task, it can automatically delegate to Codex — writing thousands of lines of production-quality code, fixing bugs using browser dev tools, and pushing directly to GitHub.

    Try asking Computer to:

    • Build a full-stack app from scratch:
"Create a personal finance tracker with a React frontend, Python backend, and live stock data from Perplexity Finance."

    • Automate a data pipeline:
"Build a script that pulls my Google Analytics data daily, compares week-over-week trends, and emails me a summary every Monday."

    • Clone and improve an existing tool:
"Recreate the core functionality of Duolingo's lesson flow as a web app, but focused on learning Japanese kanji."

    GPT-5.4 and GPT-5.4 Thinking

OpenAI's latest GPT-5.4 models are now available to all Pro and Max subscribers, delivering gains in reasoning, coding, and creative tasks. GPT-5.4 Thinking adds step-by-step reasoning for tackling more complex problems. Both models are available across Perplexity's web and mobile apps.

We 6 ve now released them to everyone across two model families: pplx-embed-v1 for standard dense retrieval and pplx-embed-context-v1 for document-aware contextual retrieval, each at 0.6B and 4B parameter scales. The 4B INT8 variant stores 4x more pages per GB, while the binary variant stores 32x more. Open-source under MIT License on Hugging Face and available through the Perplexity API.

Read the technical report for more. The Pplx-embed models help developers:

    • Power a semantic search engine: Build a search index over 10 million documents that understands meaning, not just keywords, and returns relevant results in milliseconds.
    • Run multilingual RAG pipelines: Index technical documentation in English, Japanese, and German and retrieve the right passages regardless of the language of the question.
    • Scale web-level retrieval affordably: Use the binary quantized model to index over a billion web pages on a single server without sacrificing retrieval quality.

    Perplexity

    What We Shipped - February 20th, 2026

Perplexity unveils iOS pre order for Comet and new agent models Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Gemini 3.1 Pro with improved performance. It also adds response personalization, enterprise Memory, smarter Comet Assistant, quick tab switching, analyst ratings, and auditable SEC filings.

    Pre-order Comet on iOS

You can now pre-order Comet for iOS in the Apple App Store. After signing up, you'll be notified as soon as it’s released, and it will be downloaded automatically.

Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Gemini 3.1 Pro

Both models are available to all Perplexity Pro and Max subscribers after being launched by Anthropic and Google this past week. Each model provides significant gains over its predecessor, especially for agentic tasks. Comet Agent is now powered by Claude Sonnet 4.6 by default for Pro users, and Opus 4.6 for Max users.

    Response preferences

You can now control how Perplexity responds by setting your preferred response length and structure in settings. After opening settings, tap "Personalize", then choose a response length and header and list preference. Available to all users on web and rolling out to mobile today.

    Enterprise Memory

After launching for consumer subscribers late last year, Memory is now available to enterprise customers. With Memory, Perplexity remembers your threads, preferences, and priorities to provide smarter, faster, and more personalized answers.
Administrators have full control over how Memory is configured for their organization. In the “Permissions” tab under “Settings”, they can enable or disable some or all Memory functionality. Even if Memory is enabled at the organization level, individual users can still view, delete, or turn off their saved memories at any time. Memories and search history are automatically disabled in Incognito mode.
See memory in action by asking Perplexity things like:

    • Book recommendations: What books should I read next to level up my skills at work?
    • Prioritization help: Based on the projects I’ve been researching this quarter, what should I prioritize next?
    • Research assistant: Continue my research on topic X, what angles haven’t I explored?

    A more personalized Comet Assistant

Comet Assistant now takes your remembered preferences into account when operating the browser for you. See it in action by asking Comet to help you:

    • Shop for something new: Find stickers on Etsy that I'd like
    • On your favorite food delivery app: Order lunch arriving at noon based on my preferences.
    • Find flights just for you: Help me find flights to JFK on 4/11 based on my usual travel preferences.

    Tab switching in Comet

You can now more quickly switch between your 5 most recent tabs in Comet using keyboard shortcuts. On Mac, use ⌥ Option + Tab. On Windows, you can turn on Ctrl + Tab as an opt‑in shortcut.

    Analyst ratings in Perplexity Finance

Perplexity Finance equity pages now feature analyst ratings: consensus view, 52-week price targets, and synthesis that factors in the latest news. Available to all users on web and mobile.

Auditable financials with links to SEC filings

Perplexity Finance also now includes tap-through links to SEC filings. The filing is pre-scrolled to the page where that line item appears. You can see this feature in the Financials tab of US equity pages (example).

Perplexity Deep Research now runs on Opus 4.6, further improving the state-of-the-art results on internal and external benchmarks that we announced just last week (including the Deepmind Deep Research QA benchmark, shown below). Available now for Max users, and gradually rolling out to Pro users. Try using Deep Research to:

    • Improve SEO strategy: What are the top trending topics in [industry] over the last 90 days? Show me the top-performing content pieces from competitors, the search intent behind trending keywords, and content gaps where competitors aren't publishing. Create a content calendar recommendation for the next quarter based on search volume trends and seasonal patterns.
    • Compare products in detail: How does the Oura Ring Gen 3 compare to the Samsung Galaxy Ring and the new Ultrahuman Ring Air in terms of sleep tracking accuracy, HRV measurement reliability, battery life, and subscription costs?
    • Health research: What is the evidence on peer support interventions for chronic pain management, including outcomes on opioid reduction, quality of life, healthcare utilization, and which delivery models work best in primary care settings?

    Memory in Model Council

We've extended memory to work with Model Council. Perplexity can now pull in the relevant personalized context for each model, enabling you to get the best answer possible. Try it by asking Model Council to help with decisions such as:

    • What’s a good training plan for my marathon in May?
    • What are the top MBA programs I should think about?
    • What retirement portfolio allocation strategies should I consider given current market?

    Improved history search

Finding past threads is now easier—even when you don’t remember the exact words to search for or when the information is buried deep in a conversation. The results include text previews of the matching content, and clicking a thread takes you directly to the exact follow-up where that match appears.

Revamped stock graphs in answers on Android

Searching a stock (such as “nvidia stock”) in the Perplexity Android app now displays an inline stock chart with expanded information and revamped controls.

    Kimi K2.5 Thinking

We recently added Kimi K2.5, a new state-of-the-art open source reasoning model from Moonshot AI. We host Kimi K2.5 on Perplexity’s own inference stack in the US, giving us tighter control over latency, reliability, and security for users.

    Perplexity

    What We Shipped - February 6th, 2026

Perplexity rolls out a major upgrade covering Deep Research, multi-model Council, smarter memory, a streamlined web UI, Learn step by step, and expanded enterprise controls with Opus 4.5/4.6. New finance heatmap, richer reasoning, and stronger admin features boost real world use and security.

    Upgraded Deep Research

We've upgraded Deep Research to achieve state-of-the-art performance on leading external benchmarks (such as Google DeepMind Deep Search QA and Scale AI Research Rubric), outperforming other deep research tools on accuracy and reliability. This upgrade pairs the best available models with Perplexity's proprietary search engine and sandbox infrastructure, with Deep Research now running on Opus 4.5 for Max and Pro users (and we'll upgrade to top reasoning models as they become available). Now for Max users, and rolling out to Pro in the coming days.

Read more about how we optimized Deep Research for real-world use, or try it for yourself by using Deep Research to conduct:

    Academic research:
How did Japanese woodblock prints influence the compositional techniques and color palettes of French Impressionist painters (especially monet) between 1860-1890, and which specific artists showed the most direct stylistic borrowings?

    Tech deep dive:
What methodologies do leading AI evaluation benchmarks like HLE, Browsecomp, and SimpleQA use to assess LLM capabilities, and what are their key limitations in predicting real-world production performance?

    Legal research:
What are the legal requirements and procedural differences for obtaining a marriage license across Canadian provinces, and how do prenuptial agreement enforceability standards vary between Quebec's civil law system and common law jurisdictions?

    Introducing Model Council

Model Council enables you to run three frontier models at once, compare outputs, and get a more accurate, higher‑confidence answer. It’s available now on web only for Perplexity Max subscribers, and you can read more about it in our blog post.

Model Council works by running your query through three selected AI models in parallel and comparing the responses. A separate model then reviews and synthesizes the results, highlighting where they agree, disagree, and what each one found. You can view results side by side, get clear insight into the evidence and disagreements, and see what each model uniquely contributes to the final answer. It’s great for strategic analysis, such as:

    • Investment research:
Get balanced views on stocks, markets, or financial decisions where model bias could be costly.

    • Complex decisions:
Evaluate options for major purchases, career moves, or strategic choices with input from multiple reasoning approaches.

    • Creative brainstorming:
Surface ideas for gifts, travel plans, or content by drawing on different models' strengths.

    • Verification:
Cross-validate information when you need to be confident you're getting it right.

    Simplified input bar

Perplexity’s input bar has a new, streamlined look on web. In addition to a more focused experience for asking questions, the updated design provides:

    • A “+” icon for easy access to uploading files, managing sources, and choosing modes
    • An logo for each model to aid recognition
    • The selected model named displayed in the input bar for visibility
    • Deep research, Model council, Create files and apps (previously known as Labs), and Learn step by step, are now all accessible using the + menu.

    Step by step learning

Learning mode is now available to everyone (not just students) via the “+” dropdown in Perplexity’s updated input bar on Web. When you select “Learn step by step”, answers provide an interactive education experience for any topic of interest, helping you:

    • Understand topics step-by-step rather than get instant answers
    • Understand and solve problems with guided questions and hints
    • Get answers tailored to your level of knowledge

    Improved memory engine

Perplexity now both creates richer memories and is more effective at recalling details from the past, now rolled out to Max and Pro users. Try it by asking for book recommendations or to recall details from a past conversation. Improvements include:

    • Memory quality over quantity:
Our tests found that the enhanced memory engine was able to recall important information in 95% of cases (up from 77% previously), while makes half as many memories. In other words, it is much more effective at remembering the right things.

    • Higher quality answers:
As memory quality gets sharper, answer quality follows. We found the enhanced memory engine significantly improved dimensions such as understanding time and reasoning through approximations.

    Heatmap on Perplexity Finance

The Perplexity Finance homepage now includes a heatmap view of price movement among top stocks. Hover your mouse over any company’s name to get a live-updating synthesis of why the price is up or down. Available on desktop, mobile apps, and mobile web.

Comet Browser Agent now uses Opus 4.6

Max subscribers can now choose the model powering their browser agent, including Opus 4.6 (now the default model) and Sonnet 4.5. Opus 4.6 significantly increases Comet's reasoning ability, making the Comet Browser Agent great for complex tasks such as:

    • Analyzing complex data patterns on a web dashboard
    • Investigating your GitHub commit history and evaluate patterns over time
    • Walking through a competitor’s onboarding flow and assess key differentiators and friction points

    Expanded Enterprise security controls

Enterprise administrators can now further customize and secure the Perplexity Enterprise experience for their organizations:

    • Granular feature access controls:
Admins can configure access to specific features, including member access to the API, the visibility of the organization-wide Spaces list, and which AI models are available to members.

    • Expanded audit logs:
Audit logs now include streamed Perplexity-generated answers (containing the answer itself, model/mode, sources), in addition to the queries submitted by the user.

    • Domain-based sign-up restrictions:
Admins can restrict new sign-ups to verified domains. When this setting is enabled in the Identity tab, only users with email addresses from verified domains can join the organization.

    • Organization usage guidelines:
Admins can share usage guidelines with all members, such as approved use cases and data input restrictions. These guidelines are set in the organizational profile and will appear on every member’s homepage.
