First release of Wire Gov, the on-premises edition of Wire for government and public sector organisations. Wire Gov connects only to the environment your administrator provides.

New:

• Wire Gov app, with its own name and icon
• Start screen that guides you until your administrator has set up your environment
• Connect to your environment by deep link, QR code, or manual entry
• Help and user guides served from your own environment
• Contact support opens a message to your organisation's support address

Security:

• Hardened security configuration, with end-to-end identity enabled
• No connection to Wire's public cloud

New

• Option to share debug information via the settings
• Drive:
• Make files available offline
• Remove offline access

Improvements

• Optimized session loading by removing backend metadata fetches
• Quicker loading when opening the app
• Standardized naming when participants delete or leave a group
• Drive: Files without preview support are displayed as small file cards

Fixes

• Removed duplicated initial system messages in conversations
• Removed extra spacing between the input bar and the mention list
• Wrong landscape orientation mapping during video call

• The "Apps are active" banner wasn't always shown
• Sync not completing when logging in after MLS is enabled

• Buttons in composite messages, such as polls, could not be deselected
• Video thumbnails in conversations were stretched and distorted
• Incoming video not visible after minimizing the call UI and putting the app in the background
• In some cases, the video tile of a call participant wasn't shown

• Drive: Downloaded files had to be downloaded again after an app restart
