Introducing Canva Grow 2.0: Create, launch, and learn from ads, all in one place
Canva launches Canva Grow 2.0, bringing AI ad creation, unified publishing, and performance insights into one workflow for marketing teams. It lets users create, launch, analyze, and refresh ads across Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn without leaving Canva.
Today at Cannes Lions, we unveiled Canva Grow 2.0, and with it, a new way for marketing teams to create, launch, and learn from ads – all without leaving Canva.
Empowering the world to design has always been at the heart of Canva, and for businesses of all sizes, that's always meant more than making things look good. For marketing teams, it's meant finding new ways to help them move faster, do more with less, and create work that actually drives results. But for all the ground we've covered, one problem kept coming up: the tools for creating ads, publishing them, and understanding how they performed were always separate, leaving teams to stitch together their own workflow across platforms and start each new campaign largely from scratch.
Today, at the Canva Creative Cabana during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, we unveiled Canva Grow 2.0. Designed to help teams stop managing tools and start building better campaigns, Canva Grow 2.0 brings ad creation, publishing, and performance optimization into a single AI-native workflow – and it's the most significant launch we've made for marketing teams yet.
The problem we set out to solve
The modern ad workflow is broken in a way that most marketing teams have simply learned to live with. Creative lives in one tool, publishing happens in another, and performance data sits somewhere else entirely, leaving teams with slower campaigns, siloed work, and insights that rarely find their way back into the next round of creative.
At the same time, content demands have never been more intense. Ads burn out in two to four weeks, platforms like Meta and TikTok are hungry for 50 or more variants at a time, and most teams simply can't produce content fast enough to keep pace. Even when they can, they're spending hours on the logistics of running a campaign rather than the thinking and creative work that actually moves the needle.
Canva Grow 2.0 is built specifically for that reality, closing the loop between creation and performance so teams can generate ads with AI, publish them across platforms, learn from real-time data, and automatically refresh what isn't working. Every campaign becomes a feedback loop, and every iteration builds on what came before.
Ads built to convert
The foundation of Canva Grow 2.0 is a significantly upgraded AI-powered ad creation experience that removes the specialist resource and production time that effective ad creation has historically demanded. Drop in your website and Canva Grow pulls in your business information, product visuals, brand colors, and audience signals to generate high-performing static and video ads in moments – all ready to customize and launch.
The AI is doing more than generating pretty creative here. It ingests your brand context and what's already performing in your account to build ads designed for conversion from the start, whether you're creating something new or generating fresh concepts based on your best-performing work. And with the new Magic Layers (opens in a new tab or window) integration, any AI-generated ad can be exported directly into the Canva editor for further refinement, so you get the speed of AI generation without giving up the creative control that makes your work distinctly yours.
One place to publish everywhere
Historically, getting ads live has been its own project: a process of exporting files, logging into multiple ad managers, and manually recreating campaign settings across platforms. Canva Grow 2.0 replaces all of that with a single unified publishing workflow, letting you push ads directly from Canva across Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn, regardless of whether those ads were created in Canva Grow, designed in the Canva editor, or uploaded from another source.
The new Launch Dashboard sits alongside Bulk Publish to give you a centralized view of every campaign running across all three platforms at once, so instead of switching between ad managers to understand what's live and what's performing, you can oversee, manage, and adjust your entire paid media mix without ever leaving Canva.
Smart defaults handle the manual setup work that usually slows teams down between creation and going live, turning what used to mean multiple exports, multiple logins, and a lot of copy-pasting into one seamless flow.
From performance data to your next best ad
The real step-change in Canva Grow 2.0 is what happens after your ads go live, because understanding performance and acting on it has always been the hardest part of the loop to close. Multi-Platform Ad Insights & Reports brings performance reporting into a single visual experience where you can identify top-performing creative, spot trends across campaigns, build custom reports, and share insights across your team without bouncing between platforms.
What makes this experience genuinely different is the AI that sits underneath it. AI Ad Tagging automatically analyzes and labels every ad with structured tags, surfacing the themes, formats, messages, and creative elements that are actually driving results across large ad sets – analysis that used to take a strategist hours to pull together now happens the moment your campaigns sync. And with directional coaching built into the dashboard, you're never left staring at data without knowing what to do with it – it tells you not just which ads are working, but why, and what to make more of.
Automatic Refresh Generation brings the whole loop full circle. When you open Canva Grow, you'll find a pipeline of fresh ad concepts and variations already waiting, generated based on what's actually performing in your Meta account rather than built from scratch, so every new campaign starts from a stronger foundation than the last.
The foundation for what comes next
For us, this is the beginning of something bigger. We've been making accelerated strategic investments in AI (opens in a new tab or window) and marketing technology (opens in a new tab or window), and Canva Grow is where that starts to come together into something teams can use every day. Because for businesses of all sizes, we're committed to becoming a genuine end-to-end marketing system: one where creative and performance work together, and where the learnings from every campaign feed directly into the next one.
Creative and performance have been separated for too long. Canva Grow 2.0 is how we start to close that gap, and we're just getting started. To learn more, visit canva.com/canva-grow (opens in a new tab or window).

Make AI images your own: Magic Layers is now inside the world's biggest AI assistants
Canva adds Magic Layers inside Gemini and ChatGPT, turning AI-generated images into fully editable Canva designs. The update lets users convert flat images into layered, remixable artwork and finish creative ideas faster right where they generate them.
Magic Layers is now available inside Gemini and ChatGPT, turning AI-generated images into fully editable Canva designs, so the idea you love is also the one you can actually finish.
TL;DR
- Canva’s Magic Layers is now available to all users inside Gemini and ChatGPT, helping you close the gap between what you generate and what you can actually use.
- A flat file has always been where creative momentum dies. Magic Layers turns any AI-generated image into a fully editable, layered design in Canva — so the image you love is also the one you can actually finish.
- Whether you're designing a Run Club poster, reimagining your living room, or building campaign assets for your brand, the gap between idea and finished work just got a lot smaller.
AI image generation has gotten remarkably good. In seconds, you can have a campaign visual, a product mockup, a fully realized scene that would have taken hours to brief and build. But the challenge has never really been the generation itself – it's everything that comes after. The image lands as a flat file, and the moment you need to change the tagline, pull out a background element, or adapt it for a different format, the productive part of the process stops.
When we launched Magic Layers (opens in a new tab or window) in March, the response was immediate. Powered by the Canva Design Model, it takes any flat image and turns it into a fully layered, editable design inside Canva — text live-editable, every object individually selectable, the whole thing ready to adapt, resize, and publish. For the first time, the image you generated didn't have to be the image you were stuck with. It became a starting point you could actually work with, and people ran with it.
Magic Layers was used over nine million times in its first four weeks, sparking inspiration for every kind of creator you can imagine: small business owners, marketers, students, hobbyists, and professional designers who want the speed of AI generation without giving up the control they're used to.
Starting today, it’s available to all users right in the surfaces where images are generated in both Google Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Full creative freedom, a lot faster
We've always believed the best design tools are the ones that meet you where you already are. With the Canva’s creative tools now live across Google Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT, Magic Layers is embedded directly in the workflow of some of the world’s most-used image generation models.
In Gemini, you can generate images using image generation models such as Google's Nano Banana models, and immediately pass them through Magic Layers to unlock every element as a separate, editable layer. In ChatGPT, the same workflow is also. Either way, the old process — generate, download, re-upload — is now simplified.
Whether you're working in Gemini or ChatGPT, simply prompt to turn your images into an editable @Canva design, and you’ll have a fully layered design that’s ready to remix, refine and make your own.
Your image creations, now with infinite possibilities
Here's where it gets good.
Say you're running a local Run Club and you want a poster that actually stops people mid-scroll. You open Gemini, describe the vibe — golden hour, a pack of runners cresting a hill, that feeling of barely making it but making it — and Nano Banana generates it. Prompt @Canva,and suddenly every part of that image can be opened directly in Canva with its own editable elements. You can pull the sky into its own layer, drop in your club name, the date, and the starting location, or change the font to match your brand. You can even move the runners to a different spot and the background automatically regenerates underneath. Five minutes ago this was a text prompt, now it's a finished poster ready to print and post.
Or maybe you've been putting off redecorating your living room because you can't visualize it without actually buying everything first. Now, with the power of AI, you can generate your room reimagined in three completely different aesthetics: moody dark academia, warm Japandi minimalism, coastal maximalist chaos. Then use Magic Layers to isolate the sofa, the rug, the lamp as separate objects, to move them around to suit different layouts. Swap in the actual couch you're eyeing online, and see exactly how it sits in the room before you spend a cent. This is the mood board, the planning tool, and the design brief all in one.
The same logic applies to anyone building a brand. Generate a product image, unlock it with Magic Layers, pull out the background, swap colors to match your brand, resize for every platform, and send it to your team to build on. What used to be a back-and-forth between a brief, a designer, and three rounds of revisions is now something you finish in a single sitting.
Your creative intelligence across every major AI assistant
Magic Layers is just the latest Canva AI capability to become natively accessible in AI assistants. Powered by Canva’s MCP Server, our AI Connector now works inside Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot.
Together, these integrations reflect a consistent goal: wherever people are working with AI, Canva is the design and brand engine that turns what they generate into work that's finished, on-brand, and ready to go.
Magic Layers is built on Canva’s proprietary foundation model, which is the first to generate designs that are editable from the start. Since launching, the Canva Design Model has generated hundreds of millions of editable presentations, documents, and social posts, while also powering Canva's integrations with ChatGPT (opens in a new tab or window), Claude (opens in a new tab or window), and Microsoft Copilot.
The model doesn't just decompose an image mechanically. It interprets the image holistically, identifying text, objects, backgrounds, and layout structure, and rebuilds them as a structured design that carries all the flexibility of something built from scratch inside Canva. Once a design is editable, it can be adjusted, translated, resized, and refined without breaking the creative flow, and shared for collaboration across a team.
When we started building Canva, the goal was simple: to empower the world to design. We didn't know then that AI would fundamentally change what that means. What we do know now is that the most important thing we can do is make sure people never lose creative control, no matter where they're working or which tools they're using to generate ideas. Magic Layers in Gemini and ChatGPT is part of that work.

From AI research to ready-to-use creative: Canva comes to Perplexity Computer
Canva adds a new design connector in Perplexity Computer, letting paid Perplexity users turn AI research and briefs into editable, on-brand Canva assets like presentations, social campaigns, infographics, and brand kits in 11 languages.
Canva is now Perplexity's only design partner in Perplexity Computer, letting growing businesses turn AI-generated research and insights directly into polished, editable designs, without leaving their workflow.
For anyone running a business without a full team behind them, the gap between a great idea and a usable visual asset you can actually share with a client, customer, or stakeholder is often where momentum gets lost.
That gap just got a lot smaller. Canva design and AI capabilities are now available in Perplexity Computer, the multi-model AI orchestrator that growing businesses are increasingly relying on to move faster and do more with less.
Content creation is now the top reason small businesses use AI, with 74% relying (opens in a new tab or window) on digital platforms to compete with larger enterprises. Perplexity has been one of the most trusted AI platforms for research and strategic insights with over a 100 million monthly active users. Canva already helps millions of small businesses bring their ideas to life, and is becoming the design AI system that agents rely on when research and strategy need to become something real to use.
Now, the two work together. When Perplexity surfaces a strategy, a competitive analysis, or a brief, Canva is right there to turn it into a polished, on-brand, editable asset that's ready to take into Canva, refine and publish across platforms.
From thinking to something you can use
Small and growing businesses have always faced a version of the same problem: the tools that help you think and the tools that help you create have lived in different places, requiring manual work to move between them. That friction adds up. A founder moves from a discovery call on Monday to a pitch on Thursday, and somewhere in between, a wall of AI-generated text has to become a deck that actually wins the room.
With the Canva connector in Perplexity Computer, that workflow is now seamless. Connect Canva through the Connectors page, describe what you need, and Perplexity Computer draws from your meeting notes, performance data, and live web context to build a structured brief. From there, Canva transforms it into a presentation, a social campaign, an infographic, or a brand kit – all editable, on-brand, and ready to publish anywhere.
The thinking becomes something real to use: A sales lead becomes a tailored outreach deck, a client meeting becomes a polished proposal, or a seasonal trend spotted in your data becomes a two-week campaign before the moment passes.
We’ve always believed that great design should be within reach of anyone, and inside Perplexity Computer, that belief now extends to the full creative workflow, wherever the insight starts.
Built for action, not just answers
What makes this integration different is the nature of the output. AI tools are increasingly good at surfacing what you need to know. The harder problem has always been doing something with it. Static AI outputs still require manual effort to turn into assets that can be used, shared, or published – and that’s where the work stalls.
Canva changes that. Every design generated through Perplexity Computer is fully editable inside Canva, meaning you stay in control of the final result, can collaborate with your team, and can publish and reuse assets as your needs evolve.
The connector is available now for Perplexity Pro, Max, Enterprise Pro, and Enterprise Max users, unlocking a new way to create:
- Social media and campaign assets
- Presentation decks and pitch materials
- Data storytelling and infographics
- Brand kits and reusable templates
All of it available across eleven languages, including: English, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish.
The creative layer across every AI surface
This partnership is part of something we committed to early: accessibility. As AI became the place where work begins, Canva would be there to generate ideas and make the work useable. When we launched the Canva MCP Server, we made a deliberate bet that the AI ecosystem would need a trusted, reliable creative layer – one built on more than a decade of design expertise and billions of design interactions across our platform.
The need is real and growing. More than a quarter of billion people using Canva every month across 190 countries, and AI usage on our platform has tripled over the past year. That’s why Canva is the design partner across Perplexity Computer, Claude (opens in a new tab or window), ChatGPT (opens in a new tab or window), Copilot, and Gemini (opens in a new tab or window) – and why Perplexity Computer is the latest place where anyone, anywhere can take an idea and make it real.
The Canva connector is available today for paid Perplexity users. Connect Canva at perplexity.ai/connectors/canva (opens in a new tab or window).

What’s New: Our latest launches you won’t want to miss
Canva releases sharper AI, smoother editing and new ways to publish designs directly to the platforms teams already use. Updates include cleaner Magic Eraser, Image to Video with faces, live mobile previews, stronger brand controls and expanded publishing to ads, email and storage apps.
This month's launches are all about closing the gap between creating and sharing, with sharper AI, smoother workflows, and more ways to publish directly from Canva.
At Canva, we know designing something is only half the story. The other half is everything that comes after: getting it looking right, getting it out into the world, and making sure it lands the way you intended. That's what this month is really about.
We're rolling out sharper AI tools, a growing suite of publishing integrations that connect Canva to the platforms you already rely on, and a collection of workflow improvements that came directly from conversations with our community. Some of these updates are big, some are small, but all of them are designed to make the journey from idea to impact feel a little more like flow and a little less like effort.
Here's what's new.
Supercharge your creativity with Canva AI
Remove anything from a photo, cleaner than ever
Magic Eraser (opens in a new tab or window) has always made it simple to remove unwanted objects from your photos – and now, the results are even better. We've improved the quality under the hood so removals are cleaner and more natural-looking, with no shadows or reflections left behind. Whether you're tidying up a product shot or removing a photobomber from an otherwise perfect travel snap, just brush or click what you want gone and Canva takes care of the rest.
Bring your photos to life, now with faces
Image to Video (opens in a new tab or window) has been a favorite since we launched it, and this month it’s had an upgrade! Quality and performance are both improved, and for the first time, Image to Video now supports human faces, so portraits and photos featuring people animate naturally and realistically. Turn a still shot into five seconds of polished video content with a single click, no filming or editing required.
Design faster and smarter
See your website on mobile as you build it
When you're designing a website, knowing how it'll look on a phone shouldn't require publishing it first. Live Previews lets you toggle to a mobile view directly in the Canva Website editor, so layout, spacing, and visual changes update in real time as you work. It takes the guesswork out of mobile design and means you can refine with confidence before anything goes live.
Keep your brand colours working together
Having the right colours in your Brand Kit (opens in a new tab or window) is only half the job, and knowing how to combine them is the other. Colour themes lets brand admins define exactly how colours work together across backgrounds, elements, and text, then apply that combination to any design in a single click. Team members can shuffle between themes to explore different looks, with the confidence that every option stays on-brand, closing one of the more persistent gaps in brand governance for teams designing at scale.
More control over your presenter notes
Preparing a presentation (opens in a new tab or window) now comes with a few welcome additions to the Notes panel. You can generate notes using a custom prompt, see estimated speaker time per page and for the full presentation, and adjust font size directly in the panel — so you can walk into any room with notes that suit your presenting style.
Small changes, real time saved
Some of the most-requested improvements are also the quietest. All three of these have been long-standing requests from our community:
- 🎨 You can now change all colours or fonts on a single page in one go, without touching the rest of your design.
- 🗂️ Grouped elements now nest as a layer group in the Position Panel, making it easier to read your design's structure at a glance and adjust individual pieces without breaking anything apart.
- 👩💻 And right-clicking to pan in whiteboards, along with a new Back to content shortcut when you've zoomed too far out, makes navigating large boards significantly faster.
New looks to spark your next idea
Charts that inspire from the first click
Our chart library has had a glow up. You'll now find more realistic data examples, a refreshed colour palette with better contrast, and a fuller, more modern selection of chart types, so whatever you're building, you start from a great-looking baseline. Whether it's a report, a pitch, or a social post, the right chart is ready to go the moment you open it.
Publish and share anywhere
Share your work with a recognizable link
Every design you share now comes with the option to create a custom short link, so instead of a long, generic URL, you can set something clean and recognizable, like canva.me/my-brand-deck. It's a small detail that makes a real difference when you're sharing a portfolio, a pitch, or a campaign across email, social, or print.
Design it and sell it, without leaving Canva
The new PayPal app (opens in a new tab or window) in Canva lets you embed payment links and QR codes directly into your designs, so anyone who sees your work can click or scan to complete a purchase through PayPal's checkout. Whether you're selling products, taking bookings, or running a promotion, you can go from design to done without needing a separate website or storefront.
Publish to more places, including your favorites
We've added new Publish apps to the share menu, so you can push designs directly to Facebook, Pinterest, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and more. You can preview how your design will look on each platform before it goes live, set captions, cover images, and alt text, and publish with confidence that what you see is what your audience gets. Find them under ‘Share’, then ‘More ways to publish’.
Bring your HubSpot assets into Canva, and send designs straight back
The HubSpot app (opens in a new tab or window) for Canva connects your marketing hub directly to your design workflow. Pull logos, product shots, and campaign imagery from HubSpot into Canva the moment you need them, create on-brand visuals, then publish finished designs back to HubSpot without downloading or re-uploading anything. For content teams managing multi-channel campaigns, product marketers building launch kits, and designers collaborating with campaign managers, it closes the loop between the tool you design in and the platform you market from.
Create product videos for Meta ads at scale
The Meta Catalog Data app (opens in a new tab or window) lets you import your Meta product catalog directly into Canva, use it with Bulk Create to generate videos across your entire product range, then export them straight back to Meta, without manual work between steps. A template library of 16 vertical-specific templates covers the most common catalog categories, from eCommerce and retail to travel and automotive.
Design TikTok ads in Canva and go live in one step
The TikTok Ads app (opens in a new tab or window) connects Canva directly to TikTok Ads Manager, so you can design using TikTok-optimised templates and publish your creative straight to a campaign without downloading or switching platforms. It joins LinkedIn Ads (opens in a new tab or window) and Meta Ads (opens in a new tab or window) as part of our growing suite of adtech apps , making Canva a single place to create and activate paid social content across the platforms that matter most.
Send your email designs straight from Canva
HTML email campaigns can now go from Canva straight to send. New integrations with Mailchimp (opens in a new tab or window), Constant Contact (opens in a new tab or window), Klaviyo (opens in a new tab or window), and Flodesk (opens in a new tab or window) connect your design workflow directly to your email platform, so there's no exporting, no rebuilding, and no gap between what you create and what lands in someone's inbox.

Canva expands design creation inside Google Gemini
Canva adds a Google Gemini integration that brings design into AI workflows, letting users create, search, edit, resize, and repurpose Canva designs inside Gemini with natural language. It also supports brand-aware creation and editable layouts from Gemini images.
Our latest integration with Google Gemini builds on recent launches with Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot, bringing design directly into AI workflows.
Since the very beginning of Canva, we've been focused on one thing: making design accessible wherever people work and create.
Today, AI assistants are a natural part of everyday workflows, becoming the place where ideas are explored and plans begin to take shape. Our view is simple: design should live right alongside those conversations. That's why we're building Canva as an open platform that brings powerful design directly into the tools people already use, removing friction and context switching from the creative process.
Following recent integrations with Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot, we're pleased to announce our latest integration with Google Gemini, making it easier to move from idea to finished design in a single, connected flow.
Bringing Canva into Google Gemini
Powered by Canva's MCP Server, our AI Connector now works directly inside the Gemini app. Stay in flow as Gemini connects securely to your Canva account so you can generate new designs, find and summarise existing content, make edits through natural language prompts, repurpose designs for different platforms, and turn Gemini-generated images into editable layouts, all without leaving the conversation.
Getting started is quick and effortless. Simply connect your Canva account to Google Gemini, type @Canva to get started, and everything stays private and securely in sync, so you can design with confidence.
With Canva connected to Gemini, you can:
- Generate on-brand new designs from a single chat
- Browse, search, and summarise existing Canva content
- Edit text and images across slides through prompts
- Turn generated images into editable layouts with Canva Magic Layers
- Resize and repurpose designs for any platform
- Autofill brand templates with context from your Gemini conversations (Canva Enterprise teams)
Design on-brand, from the first prompt
For teams who need every design to feel consistent, the integration understands brand context too. By referencing your Canva Brand Kit in a prompt, Canva generates designs in Gemini that already reflect your colours, fonts, and visual identity.
Make changes, right in the conversation
As ideas evolve, so can the design – without breaking the flow. Prompt @Canva in Gemini to rewrite a headline, update copy across slides, translate designs for different audiences, or adjust visuals so your work stays clear, consistent, and ready for every audience.
From Gemini-generated image to editable layout with Magic Layers
Magic Layers (opens in a new tab or window) takes things a step further. Generate an image in Gemini and unlock it in Canva, making every element editable by separating it into individual layers. Fine-tune text, elements, and more – all in one flow.
Part of a growing AI ecosystem
Over the past year, we’ve expanded our presence across leading AI assistants (opens in a new tab or window), bringing design directly into conversations where ideas are formed, refined, and shared. Together, these integrations reflect a clear vision: design should be as accessible and intuitive as the tools people already use to think and collaborate.
By embedding Canva inside AI assistants, we’re removing traditional barriers between creativity and execution. Design becomes part of the workflow itself, not a separate step that happens later.
As AI continues to reshape how work happens, we're committed to ensuring design stays open, flexible, and accessible to everyone, helping more people turn ideas into impact, wherever inspiration strikes.
Try for yourself
Whether you’re brainstorming your next idea, collaborating with a team, or turning plans into polished designs, Canva now works seamlessly inside Google Gemini.
To get started, simply connect your Canva account to Google Gemini or type @Canva inside Gemini and start creating, right from the conversation.

TL;DR
- Canva has launched Learn Grid, its biggest education investment to date, bringing over 50,000 curriculum-mapped resources and AI activity generation – spanning 30+ activity types across 16+ languages – together in one free, globally accessible platform.
- Available to anyone who teaches or learns, Learn Grid is designed to close the access gap in quality education resources across geographies, languages, and budgets, with more markets, resources, and activity types rolling out through 2026.
- Verified teachers can also plan, create, assign, and deliver live lessons entirely within Canva, with student response data flowing back to them automatically.
Learning is one of the most human things we do. It's how we grow, adapt, and find our place in the world. But for too long, access to the tools that make learning stick – the right resources, at the right level, in the right language – has often depended on where you were born or how much you could afford to spend. That's something we've wanted to change since the beginning, and it's what has driven everything we've built through Canva Education (opens in a new tab or window). At Canva Create this year, that commitment took its biggest step yet with the launch of Learn Grid (opens in a new tab or window).
A problem worth solving
Picture a teacher on a Sunday evening: not relaxing or recharging, but sitting at the kitchen table with tabs open across three browsers, searching for a science worksheet that actually aligns to this week's curriculum standard. She finds something close enough, reformats it, and hopes it lands. Then she does exactly the same thing the following Sunday, and the Sunday after that. For tens of millions of teachers around the world, this is the weekly reality: hours spent on preparation that drain the energy and creativity that should be making it into the classroom.
Quality learning resources have long been fragmented and hard to access, scattered across disconnected platforms, locked behind paywalls, or simply not built for the people who need them most. It's a challenge that cuts across every context: the teacher spending their own money on resources that are almost right, the parent sitting beside their child at homework time without the tools or confidence to help, or the lifelong learner trying to build new skills without a school or institution behind them.
Whoever you are and wherever learning happens for you, the infrastructure to support it has rarely kept up. Learn Grid was built to change that, bringing together everything needed to teach, learn, and explore, in one place that's available and open to everyone.
A new way to find, create, and deliver learning
Launched at Canva Create (opens in a new tab or window), Learn Grid is a dedicated home for learning, combining thousands of ready-to-teach, curriculum-mapped resources with AI-powered activity creation, all in one place. Because it's fully embedded within Canva, educators can move from finding a resource to delivering it to their class without ever leaving the platform – no switching between tools, no copy-pasting, no starting from scratch.
For verified teachers using Canva Education, the experience goes even further. From the Learn Grid, you can browse resources filtered by subject, grade, and learning outcome, generate a custom activity in seconds, and then assign it directly to students or run it as a live lesson. What used to take hours can now happen in the time between morning tea and the bell.
Learning that actually fits the learner
Besides scale, what makes Learn Grid different from a content library is relevance. Every resource is mapped to local curriculum standards, which means what you find actually matches what your students are supposed to be learning, rather than settling for close enough.
But curriculum-mapped content is only part of the picture. The real shift comes when you combine that content with AI-powered activity generation, turning static resources into something that actually responds to the people using it:
🧑🏫 A teacher supporting a child with figurative language can generate a sorting game where every example connects to something that child already loves – planets and stars, dragons and crystals – making the concept click in a way a generic worksheet never could
👩👧 A parent sitting beside their child at homework time can build an algebra activity around their kid's favourite characters
📚 A tutor working with a student who learns differently can adapt a worksheet on the spot rather than starting from scratch
Activities across the Learn Grid include interactive games, whiteboards, and worksheets, covering more than 30 generative types across 16 languages. Students engage directly on screen, and response data flows back to teachers automatically, so understanding gets checked, not assumed.
Built for everyone who teaches or learns
Learn Grid isn't just for the Canva Education (opens in a new tab or window) community, it's for anyone who teaches or learns in any capacity, whether learning happens at kitchen tables on a weeknight, in a living room on a Sunday afternoon, or in the quiet hours after work when someone decides they want to know more.
This has been years in the making. We've had the privilege of learning from over 170 million people in our education community across 190 countries, and everything we've built has been shaped by what teachers, students, and families actually need. Learn Grid is where that work comes together, but it's also just the beginning. More resources, languages, and activity types are rolling out through the year, and our commitment to building depth in every market we reach isn't going anywhere.
The goal has always been the same: that wherever you are in the world, and whatever learning looks like for you, the tools to support it should be within reach. We can’t wait to see what you create

Introducing Canva in Claude Design by Anthropic Labs
Canva expands its AI collaboration with Anthropic, bringing Claude Design drafts into fully editable Canva designs and adding HTML importing to drag-and-drop editing. It now supports turning AI-generated content into on-brand, interactive creations that can be customized, embedded, or published in Canva.
We’re excited to unveil the next step in our collaboration with Anthropic, making it easier than ever to turn AI-generated ideas into fully editable, on-brand designs.
We’re excited to announce the next step in our collaboration with Anthropic, bringing the power of our Canva Design Engine and Visual Suite into the newly launched Claude Design by Anthropic Labs. This makes it even easier to turn AI-generated drafts and ideas in Claude into fully editable designs in Canva, where they can be customised, brought on-brand, and collaborated on with your team, ready to then share or publish.
Today, more than a quarter of a billion people design with Canva every month, and we’ve quickly become one of the most widely used AI platforms in the world. But to truly empower the whole world to design, we’re doubling down on making Canva available wherever ideas begin.
Designed to be collaborative and editable
With this new collaboration, Claude Design users can generate ideas and draft content, then seamlessly bring them into Canva’s Visual Suite where they become fully editable, structured designs. Powered by the Canva Design Model, each draft is transformed into something you can adapt, build on, and make your own.
Introducing HTML and artifact editing in Canva
We’re also expanding our drag-and-drop editing capabilities. From landing pages to widgets and interactive experiences, AI-generated HTML is unlocking new ways to create dynamic content. While powerful, these outputs are often locked in code, and historically has made it challenging to edit without regenerating your work each time you need to make a change.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce HTML importing, expanding Canva’s drag-and-drop editor to support interactive code and AI artifacts. This makes Canva the first platform to unify visual, document, and interactive content in a single collaborative editor.
Now, you can bring any coded creations from Claude directly into Canva, where you can edit them using our drag-and-drop editor, just like any other design. Swap colours, move elements, or update layouts, all without regenerating code with each adjustment.
When you’re ready, you can embed your creation in other designs like a Canva Presentation, add a Canva Form to collect data in a Canva Sheet, or publish your creation as a live website using Canva Websites with a custom domain, all without leaving Canva.
The design layer for the AI era
Today’s announcement builds on two years of close collaboration with Anthropic, who share our goal of making complex things simple. Since launching the Canva MCP for Claude last July, millions of people have used Canva within Claude to create, resize, and summarise content with simple prompts. In January, we expanded this with on-brand design generation, bringing Brand Kits directly into the flow.
This is all part of how we’re evolving Canva as the design layer of the internet. As AI makes it faster than ever to generate a draft or an idea, the volume of content is growing rapidly, and with it, the need to refine, adapt, collaborate, and scale that content. We’re already seeing this shift in action.
Our new Magic Layers product, which transforms static AI-generated images into fully editable designs, has been used more than nine million times in just over a month since launch, showing that generation is only the start.
A new chapter for creativity
Today’s announcement builds on a momentous week for us at Canva. Yesterday, we unveiled Canva AI 2.0, the most significant evolution of our platform since launching more than a decade ago. Announced on stage at Canva Create in Los Angeles, it marks the start of a new era as we expand beyond design generation to become the system at the centre of how work gets done.

Canva launches Offline mode, Learn Grid, Print Shop, and an expanded professional design suite, bringing more of the creative workflow into one place. The update adds teacher tools, new print options, and deeper Affinity, Cavalry, Capture One, DaVinci Resolve, and Claude connections.
Today we're launching Canva Offline, Learn Grid, Print Shop, and a significantly expanded professional design suite, opening up what's possible in Canva for more people than ever before.
TL;DR
Canva launches Offline mode, a significantly expanded professional suite, Learn Grid, and Print Shop at Canva Create 2026, delivering on some of the most long-awaited requests from its global community.
Canva's Professional Suite expands with Cavalry going free for all creatives, Brand System launching inside Affinity, and new Affinity integrations with Capture One, DaVinci Resolve, and Claude, completing a creative stack that takes designers from first sketch to final delivery in one place.
Learn Grid introduces a dedicated learning platform with thousands of curriculum-mapped resources and AI-powered activity creation across 16+ languages, while Print Shop brings a completely reimagined ecommerce experience and 40 new products to Canva Print.
Every Canva Create brings a wave of new launches, and this year is no exception. Alongside our Canva AI announcement (opens in a new tab or window), we're releasing some of the most-requested updates in our community's history. Each one has been built to remove barriers, solve real problems, and open up what's possible in Canva for more people than ever before.
Whether you're a teacher trying to reclaim your Sunday evenings, a small business owner who wants their brand to show up beautifully in the physical world, a creative professional who's tired of switching between tools, or someone who's simply never been able to rely on a stable internet connection, we have something for you.
Keep creating with Canva Offline
Creativity shouldn't depend on a good Wi-Fi signal – and yet, for millions of people around the world, that's the reality. From students in classrooms with unreliable connections, to professionals trying to maintain momentum across commutes and back-to-back meetings, and communities who face expensive data and inconsistent internet, connectivity is a luxury rather than a given. It's long been one of the invisible barriers between our community and the ability to simply open Canva and get to work, so we're thrilled today to be removing that barrier with the arrival of Canva Offline.
With Canva Offline, designs can now be made available without an internet connection, letting you perform essential editing actions, upload and work with local image files, and pick up exactly where you left off, whenever and wherever you need to. Once a connection is restored, changes sync automatically, so nothing is ever lost in the gaps. It's one of the most-requested features from our community worldwide, and what it represents is something we've always believed in: that the tools to design and communicate should be available to everyone, not just those with reliable access to the internet.
A complete creative suite for professional design
For professional creatives, the toolkit has historically been a compromise: the tools with enough craft depth to do serious work rarely make it easy to collaborate and scale, and the platforms built for collaboration rarely offer the precision professional work demands. Today, we're changing that, with a suite of announcements that together form a genuinely complete professional creative stack.
Brand System in Affinity
Since joining the Canva family in 2025 and then becoming free, more than 5 million creatives have adopted Affinity's powerful vector, photo, and layout tools. Today, we're deepening that connection with the launch of Canva Brand System inside Affinity.
Designers can now build brand elements – including photographs, logos, and more – directly inside Affinity and publish them straight into their Canva Brand Kit, creating a seamless bridge between craft work and the wider brand system.
It's a workflow that brings the best of both worlds together – the craft precision of Affinity and the brand consistency of Canva – so that the care that goes into building a brand carries all the way through, without friction, rework, or drift.
A new connection: Affinity and Claude
For all the craft that goes into professional creative work, a surprising amount of time gets lost to the production tasks that surround it. Affinity’s new AI Connector with Claude changes that, letting the tedious parts of the process run in the background, so your attention stays on the work that actually matters.
By connecting Claude with Affinity, you can describe a process once and Claude builds and saves it as a reusable script in your Scripting panel, ready to run whenever you need it – whether that's batch image editing, print prep, or bulk colour balance adjustments across entire documents. You can even create entirely new tools and workflows that didn't previously exist in Affinity.
Cavalry, now free for everyone
Motion has become a core element of effective design, and we believe those tools should be available to every creative, which is why we're excited to share that Cavalry is now completely free for anyone with a Canva account.
Cavalry has long been trusted by leading studios for its procedural, systems-based approach to animation, built specifically for the complex workflows professional motion designers rely on. Making it free is our commitment to ensuring that level of creative depth is available to every professional, everywhere.
Together with Affinity, Cavalry completes a professional stack that now spans static design, vector work, layout, and motion – with Canva connecting it all so creatives can move seamlessly from deep craft work through to collaboration and distribution at scale.
New Affinity integrations: Capture One and DaVinci Resolve
Professional photographers and video editors have long had to work around the gaps between their tools of choice, and today, we're closing some of those gaps. Capture One and DaVinci Resolve both now support Affinity's native .af file type, making it faster and more seamless to move between applications without losing quality or momentum along the way.
For photographers managing complex shoots and video editors working on high-end finishing and grading, it's a meaningful step toward a workflow that finally feels as connected as the work itself.
Learn Grid: A new home for learning
Teaching is one of the most time-intensive professions in the world, and a surprising amount of that time happens outside the classroom. Teachers regularly spend their weekends and evenings piecing together lesson materials, often spending their own money on resources that still need hours of adapting before they're ready to use, and the result is materials that rarely inspire the kind of engagement that makes learning stick. Learn Grid is our answer to that.
A dedicated home for learning inside Canva, Learn Grid brings thousands of curriculum-mapped, ready-to-teach resources together with AI-powered activity creation to one place, all structured by grade, subject, and learning outcome.
From Learn Grid, you can generate engaging, curriculum-mapped activities in more than 30 formats across over 16 languages – think interactive games, graphic organisers, and worksheets that are ready for students to dive into straight away.
For verified teachers it goes further still, with assignment tools that let you share work directly with your class, interactive classroom sessions that turn passive learning into active participation, and everything needed to plan, create, and deliver a lesson from start to finish, all in one connected place. For the first time, the entire teaching workflow lives under one roof – and it's free for every school.
Better yet, Learn Grid was built for the entire Canva community to experience. Whether you're a parent trying to help your child understand their photosynthesis homework, a tutor running weekend sessions, or a lifelong learner accessing quality education for the very first time, Learn Grid was built exactly for you. Learning is universal, and for the first time, the tools to support it are too.
Print Shop: A new way to bring designs to life
Print has always been one of the most meaningful things our community does with their designs, from wedding invitations to small business packaging to branded merch that turns customers into advocates. But for a long time, completing that journey inside Canva was harder than it should have been, and many of you didn't realize just how much you could print, or where to start. With the arrival of Print Shop, we've completely reimagined our print experience, giving you a dedicated place to browse, design, and order physical products without ever leaving your creative workflow.
We've also added more than 60 new products, including premium finishes and entirely new product categories. Whether you're marking a personal moment or building a brand that shows up professionally at every touchpoint, Print Shop makes the full journey from design to something you can hold in your hands far more accessible than it's ever been. We can’t to see your creations!
See everything we’re launching
Today's launches are as varied as the people they're built for, but they're connected by the same belief we've held since the very beginning of Canva: the best creative tools should be available to everyone, regardless of where they are, what they do, or what they have access to.
Explore everything we've launched at Canva Create 2026 here (opens in a new tab or window).

Introducing Canva AI 2.0: Reimagining how the world creates
Canva introduces Canva AI 2.0, its biggest product launch yet, turning the platform into a conversational creative workspace with editable outputs, persistent memory, and new workflows for connectors, scheduling, web research, brand intelligence, Sheets AI, and Canva Code 2.0.
TL;DR
Canva is introducing Canva AI 2.0, its most significant product evolution since launching in 2013, transforming Canva into a conversational, agentic platform where teams can go from the spark of an idea to complete, published work in one place.
Powered by the Canva Design Model – the world's first foundation model built to understand the structure, hierarchy, and complexity of real-world design – Canva AI 2.0 generates fully layered, editable output from a single prompt, and gets smarter the more you use it.
Available today as a research preview, Canva AI 2.0 introduces a new architecture layer spanning conversational design, iterative agentic editing, layered object intelligence, and living memory, alongside six new intelligent workflows: connectors, scheduling, web research, brand intelligence, Sheets AI, and Canva Code 2.0.
Our mission at Canva has always been to empower the world to design. When we started out a decade ago, that meant bringing complex and fragmented software into one simple, easy-to-use platform where anyone could bring their ideas to life. Today, we’re incredibly proud to be empowering more than a quarter of a billion people every month, and now, we're stepping into our next era
We're incredibly excited to introduce Canva AI 2.0 : an entirely new way to create, and the biggest product launch in our history.
Imagination as the starting point
Rather than starting with a template or a blank page, you can now start with an idea, a goal, a brief, a rough sketch, even an unfinished thought – and work through it in conversation with Canva AI. It assembles designs from individual components with layout, hierarchy, and brand built in from the first output.
Every element remains fully layered and editable, so you can jump in, collaborate, refine, and iterate as your ideas evolve. Ask Canva AI to create a multi-channel campaign plan to launch your latest product, and it instantly generates content in every format, for every channel, on brand by default.
What makes Canva AI 2.0 different
Canva AI 2.0 is designed to stay present through the whole creative process. It understands intent, handles complex requests, and takes coordinated action across an entire design – all without interrupting your flow. When you want to take over and edit manually, it steps back until you need it again.
Four key capabilities make this possible:
Conversational design means creation starts with a conversation. Describe an idea, a goal, or a rough structure, and Canva AI generates a fully editable design with layout, hierarchy, and brand from the start, then stays with you throughout the entire process. It maintains context as your ideas evolve and helps you brainstorm, refine, and iterate at every step.
Agentic orchestration gives Canva AI access to Canva’s complete design engine, calling the right tools at the right time. Describe a goal, share a sketch, or provide a brief, and Canva AI brings it to life: understanding your intent, selecting the right capabilities, and coordinating them into a complete outcome. Ask it to build anything – from a product launch campaign to a client presentation or a social content series – and it handles everything.
With layered object intelligence, everything Canva AI generates is built from scratch using individual, editable objects rather than generating a static or locked flat image. Ask Canva AI to change something, and only that changes. Swap an image, adjust a headline, or refine a font without affecting anything else, with every element remaining fully layered and editable throughout.
Memory Library turns every interaction into a building block. With persistent memory, Canva AI 2.0 understands how you work, keeps every project on brand, and applies your style automatically. The more you create, the better it knows how you work, and every suggestion gets more useful.
Intelligent new workflows
Built on that foundation are six new workflows that extend Canva AI 2.0 across your whole creative process, making Canva the place where teams can start and end their day.
Connectors plug Canva AI directly into the tools and workflows your team already uses. Connect Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Notion, Zoom, HubSpot, and more, and Canva AI can draw on your conversations, content, and context to create exactly what you need. Generate meeting summaries from Zoom transcripts, turn customer emails into personalised sales pitches, or build a company newsletter from activity across Slack, all as finished, on-brand visual outputs.
Scheduling puts your work on autopilot. Set tasks once and Canva AI handles the rest, running automatically in the background, even while you're offline. Whether you’re generating a full batch of social content every Friday, or scanning your emails each morning to create briefing documents for your upcoming meetings, the work is ready when you log in.
Web research brings the web into your creative process. Run research on demand or schedule it in the background, and Canva AI gathers and structures information from across the web – from business proposals to market exploration – delivering it directly into your design as structured, editable content.
Brand Intelligence ensures every design starts and stays on brand. Connect your brand template or describe what you need, and Canva AI automatically applies your fonts, colours, and style from the first output. You can also instantly update existing work by asking Canva AI to apply your latest brand, turning hours of manual updates into a single step done in seconds.
Canva Code 2.0 opens up a whole new kind of design: fully interactive experiences built from a single conversational prompt. Describe what you want and Canva AI builds a complete, responsive experience that works across every device. Now with HTML importing, you can also bring any HTML file or AI-generated experience into Canva and edit it yourself, with no rebuilds required. Add forms that collect responses in Canva Sheets, drop interactive elements into presentations, or publish to your own domain with SSO protection.
Sheets AI takes the work out of building spreadsheets from scratch. Describe what you need, from a budget tracker to a project timeline or a content calendar, and Canva AI generates a fully structured, beautifully designed sheet, populated with real data and ready to use.
Try for yourself
We've always believed that everyone has ideas worth bringing to life. Canva AI 2.0 is our biggest step yet toward making that real – closing the gap between imagination and finished work, without taking away any of the control you'd want along the way.
We can't wait to see what you create with it!

Introducing Magic Layers, bringing creative control to AI content
Canva debuts Magic Layers, a new Canva Research capability that turns flat images into fully editable, multi‑layer designs in the Canva editor. It preserves layout, restores live text, and unlocks easy refinement from AI outputs. Available in public beta in US, UK, Canada and Australia.
TL;DR:
- Canva introduces Magic Layers, a new breakthrough of our AI development arm, Canva Research, that converts flat images and static AI outputs into fully editable, multi-layered designs inside the Canva editor.
- Powered by Canva’s proprietary Design Model, Magic Layers unlocks editable text, separates elements, and preserves layout structure, making content easy to refine without starting over.
- Rolling out in public beta across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, Magic Layers marks a major step in Canva’s evolution as an AI Visual company focused on creative control at scale.
Since the beginning of Canva, our mission has been to empower the world to design. As artificial intelligence reshapes how visuals are created, that mission continues to evolve alongside the creative tools people use every day.
In recent years, generative AI has unlocked a flood of visual content. Images that once took hours to produce can now be generated in seconds, accelerating ideation and offering limitless creative possibilities. Yet as speed and volume increase, one challenge remains: most AI-generated visuals stop at a static output. Once exported or flattened, there’s no way to easily edit the text or elements on your images without reprompting. If a detail needs adjusting or a layout requires refinement, creators are often forced to begin again.
We believe AI should spark creation, not bring it to a halt.
Today, we’re introducing Magic Layers: a powerful new capability of the Canva Design Model that transforms your flat image into a fully editable, multi-layered design inside Canva. By unlocking structure and editability to static files, Magic Layers turns what was once a finished image into the starting point for further creativity.
Turning static images into editable designs
While AI image tools have made it easier than ever to create visuals, most results are still flat and fixed. What begins as a dynamic creative idea often ends as a static file — a JPEG or PNG that looks complete but offers little room for refinement. Once exported or generated, the underlying structure of a design collapses. Text loses edit ability, visual elements merge together, and the relationships that once gave the layout balance and intent are no longer accessible. If something needs adjusting – whether it’s a font choice, a misplaced object, or a background that doesn’t quite align with a brand – the only option is often to start again.
This is a problem that's quietly frustrated anyone working with AI-generated content. While traditional vector tools can trace shapes and turn pixel regions into outlines, they can't actually read what they're looking at. They can't tell the difference between a headline and a decorative flourish, or figure out which elements belong together. So editing a flattened AI image has always meant working around the problem rather than solving it.
Magic Layers was built to bridge that gap. Instead of tracing fragments, it reads the entire design and intelligently recognises its components, rebuilding it as structured, editable layers inside Canva. Text is restored as live, fully editable text boxes, objects are identified as individual elements you can move and adjust, and backgrounds are cleanly preserved behind foreground content. At the same time, the original layout relationships are preserved, so the design holds together exactly as intended when you open it. What you get is a true working file – one you can refine, tweak, and make your own without starting from scratch.
From prompt to refinement
Magic Layers extends editability beyond designs created in Canva. It allows you to bring in your images – whether generated by AI tools or added into existing projects – and transform them into structured, workable layers inside the Canva Editor. Rather than rebuilding from scratch, you can adjust and adapt what’s already there.
From there, every element becomes flexible. Objects can be repositioned, resized, or animated, fonts swapped, colours adjusted, and layouts rebalanced – all within the same space where your work already lives. And when the final result feels right, it can be shared wherever it needs to go, from presentations and social posts to videos and documents.
This shift reflects a broader belief about the future of AI-assisted creativity. Speed and scale are powerful, but control is essential. As visual content becomes easier to produce, the ability to shape and perfect that content becomes the true differentiator.
Powered by the Canva Design Model
Magic Layers is built on the Canva Design Model, our foundation model, and the first to generate designs that are editable from the start. Since its launch, the model has generated hundreds of millions of editable presentations, documents, and social posts through Canva AI, and it powers integrations with platforms such as ChatGPT (opens in a new tab or window), Claude (opens in a new tab or window), and Microsoft Copilot.
Creativity unlocked
For marketing teams refreshing campaigns, small businesses updating seasonal offers, and creators remixing ideas for new audiences, Magic Layers removes a longstanding barrier. What was once a static endpoint becomes a flexible starting point, where our community can refine details until the final design truly reflects their intent.
By turning your images into fully editable, layered designs, Magic Layers keeps creativity in your hands – allowing you to refine, reshape, and publish your work with confidence. As AI continues to evolve, we remain focused on building tools that expand creative control and bring us closer to our mission to empower the world to design.
Magic Layers is available today in public beta in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, with global availability to follow. Try for yourself today (opens in a new tab or window).

What’s New: From smarter AI to smoother workflows
Canva rolls out AI powered enhancements to speed up end to end creation. New features include image to video, style match and on brand AI writers, plus Magic Insights that turn data into clear actions. Also smoother publishing, smarter layouts and faster presentation workflows.
What’s New
We’re introducing expanded AI capabilities and smoother workflows as we continue building a more connected, end-to-end creative platform.
What’s New has always shaped by the conversations we’re having with our community, and this month is no different. To kick off the year, we’re rolling out a mix of long-requested improvements and new AI capabilities that build on how people are already creating in Canva.
From turning images into video in seconds to publishing seamlessly across platforms, these launches are designed to help you create faster, stay consistent, and move from idea to impact with less effort.
Here’s what’s new.
Power up your creativity with AI
Turn any still image into a 3-second video
Forgot to take a video? Image to Video (opens in a new tab or window) adds subtle, natural movement to your photos, transforming still shots into video with the polish of a professional shoot – all without filming or editing. For SMBs and creators juggling tight timelines, it’s a simple way to repurpose what you already have into scroll-stopping content that’s built to perform.
Generate new graphics that automatically match your design’s style and aesthetic.
With Style Match (opens in a new tab or window), newly generated graphics automatically align with your existing colors, layout, and overall aesthetic, so every element feels like it belongs. Whether you’re building a brand as a small business, maintaining a recognizable look as a creator, or pulling together a polished deck at work, it helps your designs stay cohesive, without the extra adjustments.
Create designs that stay aligned with your brand with Claude and ChatGPT
Getting started is often the hardest part, especially when you’re trying to stay on brand. With deeper integrations with Claude (opens in a new tab or window) and ChatGPT (opens in a new tab or window), you can now generate designs that better reflect your voice, tone, and visual identity from the outset. Instead of spending time refining drafts to make them on-brand, you can move from idea to polished output with more confidence and control.
Make sense of your data in seconds
Data is only useful if it’s clear. Magic Insights (opens in a new tab or window) now delivers cohesive explanatory narratives alongside ready-to-use charts and formulas, helping you understand what the numbers actually mean, and what to do next. Whether you’re preparing a report, reviewing performance, or making a business decision, it turns raw analysis into insight you can confidently act on.
AI-generated videos from a simple prompt – now available worldwide
With AI video generation (opens in a new tab or window) now available across more locales globally, anyone can turn a simple text prompt into a polished video in just a few clicks. For small businesses, that means quickly creating promos or product highlights without filming or editing tools. For creators, it opens the door to experimenting with new formats and keeping pace with fast-moving content cycles, wherever they are.
Work smarter with smoother workflows
Alongside powerful new AI capabilities, we’ve also focused on something just as important: removing friction from your everyday work.
Structure documents into clean, print-ready pages automatically
Formatting documents to fit standard page sizes can take more time than expected. Automatic page breaks now organize your content into clean, well-formatted pages for sizes like A4 and Letter, so proposals, service guides, one-pagers, and reports are easier to read, print, and share.
Launch your presentation with fewer steps
When it’s time to present, you shouldn’t have to think about the interface. Our new split Present button lets you jump straight into full-screen mode with a single click, while still giving you quick access to other presenting options. Whether it’s a fast-paced standup or a high-stakes client meeting, it keeps the focus on your message, not the menu.
Add motion and timing control to static designs
Sometimes a static design just needs a little movement. Edit as Video (opens in a new tab or window) lets you turn presentations, social posts, and custom designs into animated graphics using the new video timeline – so you can adjust timing, layer in motion, and fine-tune animations with precision. It’s a faster way to repurpose existing content, unlocking a long-requested workflow and giving creators and professionals more control over how their stories unfold.
Resize and refine grouped elements without ungrouping them
If you’ve ever had to ungroup, adjust, and regroup just to make a small tweak, you’re not alone. You can now resize, rotate, and move grouped elements (opens in a new tab or window) directly – without breaking them apart first. It’s a simple change that saves time, keeps layouts intact, and closes a long-standing loop for many in our community.
Publish seamlessly across the platforms you already use
Publishing shouldn’t require jumping between tools. With new Publish apps – including LinkedIn, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, and Simplebooklet – Canva now connects directly to the platforms many teams rely on every day. You can design, preview, and publish all from one place, streamlining collaboration and helping ensure every visual stays consistent from creation to distribution.
Regain Canva access quickly with a secure backup recovery option
With a new secondary recovery email option, you can now securely regain access to your Canva account on your own, without going through manual verification. It’s a simple addition that provides greater peace of mind and closes another long-standing request from our community.
Get started today
These updates may look like a collection of new features, but together they reflect how Canva continues to evolve as a more connected, end-to-end creative platform.
Many of these improvements began as conversations with our community. Thank you for continuing to share your feedback, ideas, and wish lists – they’re what shape Canva every month.

Create on-brand Canva designs directly inside Claude
Canva and Claude AI take collaboration to the next level with on-brand design generation inside Claude chats. Create brand-ready visuals directly in AI conversations using Brand Kit, improving consistency and speed across pitches and campaigns.
We’re expanding the Canva x Claude AI connector with on-brand design generation, making it easier for teams to create polished, brand-ready Canva designs directly inside an AI conversation.
TL;DR:
- Canva is expanding its Claude AI connector with on-brand design generation, allowing users to create branded presentations and visuals directly inside a Claude chat.
- This builds on Canva’s existing Claude integration, which already enables users to generate, edit, search, and summarize Canva designs using natural language and without switching tools.
- Claude is the first AI assistant to support these new capabilities, with additional AI assistants coming soon.
TL;DR
AI has made it easier than ever for teams to move fast, but until now, speed can come at the cost of consistency. Sales decks often lose their polish, campaign presentations drift off-brand, and the initial time saved generating content is often spent fixing fonts, colours, and layouts.
Today, we’re excited to share we’re taking a significant step toward solving that. We’re expanding our Canva x Claude AI connector with new capabilities that let teams generate on-brand Canva designs directly inside a Claude conversation, so every first draft already looks and feels like your brand.
Create on-brand designs at speed
Starting today, our community can apply their Brand Kit (opens in a new tab or window) when generating designs with Claude, ensuring AI-created presentations follow their brand colours, fonts, and voice help from the first draft.
Whether you’re building a client pitch, a campaign deck, or an investor presentation, Claude can now create polished, brand-ready designs that are ready to share or fine-tune, saving you time jumping between tools or reformatting slides.
For teams that rely on speed and credibility, this removes a major friction point. Sales teams can create client-ready pitch decks, while marketing teams can build campaign presentations without losing brand consistency and small businesses can generate professional-looking decks without needing design expertise.
Built for the way teams actually work
We built on-brand design generation in response to what our community told us directly: even when AI helped them move faster, they still spent significant time bringing outputs back on brand. For professional teams, that extra work reduces confidence in AI-generated content, and limits how widely it’s adopted.
By keeping branding intact from the first draft, teams can focus on refining their message instead of fixing formatting. It’s a simple change that makes AI-generated content far more usable in real business workflows.
Canva, inside the AI conversation
These new capabilities build on our existing Canva x Claude integration (opens in a new tab or window), which already enables Claude users to generate and work with Canva designs directly inside an AI chat.
Powered by Canva’s AI Connectors, Claude can securely access a user’s Canva content and take real design actions in response to natural language prompts. That includes creating new presentations, resizing designs, autofilling templates, and even searching and summarizing content from across a Canva workspace.
Instead of uploading files or manually transferring ideas, you can brainstorm with Claude and turn those ideas into real, editable Canva designs, all without leaving the conversation.
A more consistent Canva experience across AI assistants
Alongside on-brand design generation, we’re also rolling out improvements to our Visual MCP: a shared visual language that defines how Canva designs and app connections appear inside AI assistants.
As Canva expands across Claude, ChatGPT (opens in a new tab or window), and Microsoft Copilot, these updates help ensure Canva feels familiar and easy to use wherever you create, building trust and consistency no matter which AI assistant you prefer.
Looking ahead
As AI becomes a more natural place to brainstorm and build, we’re focused on turning ideas into polished visuals — wherever creativity starts.
By bringing on-brand design generation directly into AI conversations, we’re making it easier for teams to move faster, stay consistent, and confidently use AI to create content that’s ready to share. Claude is the first AI assistant to support these new capabilities, with more to follow as we continue to expand our AI connectors.
To get started, connect Canva with Claude (opens in a new tab or window) and try generating your next on-brand design, right from the chat.

A transformative year for Canva: 2025 in review
Canva caps a propel year with the Creative Operating System and a reimagined Affinity, powering AI‑driven design. It grew to 260M monthly users, $3.5B in revenue, and expanded with Canva Enterprise and Canva Business, plus global events and big social impact.
A look back at 2025, a year of meaningful progress across our product, community, and team, as we continued building the foundation for Canva’s next chapter.
A look back at 2025, a year of meaningful progress across our product, community, and team, as we continued building the foundation for Canva’s next chapter.
2025 was a year where everything moved faster: creativity, AI, and the way people learn and work. Through all that change, our community kept growing and kept pushing us to think bigger about how Canva can help people achieve their goals. Across our team, our product, and our global community, this year brought moments that reminded us why we started Canva in the first place, and why the best chapters are still ahead. We’re excited to share a few highlights from the year, and even more excited about what comes next.
Our community grew to 260M
In 2025, our community grew to 260 million people using Canva every month, a milestone shaped by millions of classrooms, small businesses, nonprofits, teams, and creators who trust us with their visual communication needs.
Our business kept growing too, reaching $3.5 billion in revenue. It’s a good reminder of the need for simple, powerful tools, especially in a world where every team is trying to communicate faster and more visually.
Unveiling the Creative Operating System
One of the defining moments of 2025 was the introduction of our Creative Operating System, the biggest product launch in our history. Built for what we’re calling the Imagination Era, it introduced a fully connected, AI-powered foundation across the Visual Suite, making it easier for anyone to move from an idea to a finished design in seconds.
At the heart of the Creative OS is the Canva Design Model, the world’s first design-aware AI designed to understand layout, hierarchy, and brand logic. Combined with new intuitive workflows and upgraded creative tools, AI became deeply woven into how people create on Canva – a powerful accelerator helping millions bring their ideas to life faster than ever.
Launching the all-new Affinity to power professional creativity
This year we also unveiled the all-new Affinity, marking an important expansion of our mission. After a decade focused on empowering the 99% of people without formal design training, we launched a fully reimagined, studio-grade Affinity app built for professional creatives. Fast, precise, and deeply flexible, it brings vector, photo, and layout tools together in one place, and for the first time, it’s completely free for everyone.
Enterprise adoption accelerated as teams embraced visual communication
2025 marked one year of Canva Enterprise, and we were grateful to see global teams continue to adopt Canva as a simpler, more collaborative way to communicate visually at scale. Today, Canva is used by 95% of the Fortune 500, and customers like Docusign shared encouraging signs of impact, including time saved, stronger consistency, and more engaging content across their teams. These outcomes reflected a broader shift we’re seeing in workplaces everywhere: a need for tools that make it easier for everyone to create and communicate with confidence.
We also introduced Canva Business, a new plan for individuals and small teams looking to grow. Positioned between Canva Pro and Canva Enterprise, it brings together advanced AI tools, creative insights, and collaboration features to help small businesses show up professionally without the complexity or cost of traditional enterprise tools.
We met our community at events all around the world
One of the best parts of this year was getting out from behind our screens and spending real time with our community. Canva Create in LA was a huge highlight, with thousands of people coming together to learn, share ideas, and get a glimpse of what’s coming next. We also took Canva on the road with the Canva World Tour, visiting cities across the globe and hearing firsthand how people are using Canva in ways we never could have imagined.
We also had some incredible local moments, from AI Vision in Sydney to celebrating Teacher’s Day in Spain, plus meetups and workshops across Europe, Asia, and the US. Every event reminded us how energizing it is to be in the same room with the people we’re building for. It keeps us grounded, keeps us curious, and it’s a lot of fun.
We celebrated 100 million people using Canva’s free education tools
We hit a pretty incredible milestone: 100 million teachers, students, and education leaders using Canva every month. What started as a simple idea – give every classroom free access to creative tools – has grown into a global community in 190+ countries, supported by Ministries of Education and our new AI for All Ages approach. Seeing teachers save time and students express themselves in new ways is the most rewarding part of this work, and we’re hugely grateful to everyone using Canva to make learning more creative.
Advancing our Two-Step Plan: $100M in donations, 10M trees planted, and growing nonprofit impact
Step Two has always sat at the heart of Canva: build something valuable and use it to do as much good as we can. This year, we took meaningful steps forward: committing another $100 million USD to GiveDirectly, helping 185,000 more people living in extreme poverty, planting over 10 million trees through One Print, One Tree, and seeing 1,400+ Canvanauts volunteer across 63 community events as part of Force for Good Days.
Whether it was supporting students, mentoring nonprofits, or restoring landscapes, these moments reminded us why Step Two matters and why we’ll keep pushing to create impact well beyond our walls.
We celebrated meaningful moments with our team
This year brought some big moments for our team as we kept building a culture that’s curious, collaborative, and not afraid to experiment. AI Discovery Week was a standout, where more than 5,000 Canvanauts hit pause on the day-to-day to learn, tinker, and build together, contributing over 25,000 hours of hands-on AI exploration. We also opened our new San Francisco campus, expanded in Prague and Vienna, and kept growing our global footprint in ways that help our teams do their best work.
We were also excited to welcome MagicBrief into the Canva family. Their team and technology bring fresh energy and expertise that will be a big part of how we support marketers and creative teams in the AI era.
All of these moments remind us that building great products starts with building a great team and giving them the space, tools, and support to thrive.
Thank you
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey: our community, our partners, and the incredible team at Canva. None of this happens without you. Your creativity, your feedback and your ambition pushes us to think bigger and build better. We’re already deep into what’s coming next, and we’re excited to share it with you soon.
