Bringing design creation to AI workflows: Create with Canva inside ChatGPT

Canva brings a full design studio into ChatGPT, letting you create, edit, preview, and translate Canva designs right in conversation with context-aware prompts. It pairs with a deep research connector to search and summarize your Canva content, all from within the chat for seamless workflows.

    Now live

Canva now enables full design creation directly in ChatGPT – generate, edit, and preview designs without leaving the conversation. This follows the earlier launch of our deep research connector, which empowers users to search and summarize existing Canva content inside ChatGPT.

At Canva, we believe design should flow as naturally as conversation. Earlier this year, we introduced Canva's deep research connector with ChatGPT, and AI Connector, which brings Canva into your favorite AI assistants via the Canva MCP Server.

Today, our AI connector expands even further: you can now create, preview, and edit designs directly in ChatGPT.

Now live: Create, preview and edit designs directly inside ChatGPT

While deep research in ChatGPT helps you access and analyze your Canva content, the new Canva app in ChatGPT unlocks the next step: design creation and editing from inside the chat. That means you can generate context-aware designs, translate assets, edit text, and more – all by simply asking ChatGPT. Enter a prompt, and a new Canva design will appear ready to go.

The Canva app in ChatGPT delivers the most visual experience in an AI chat yet, featuring full-screen design preview directly within the main interface. For the first time, you can kick start designs based on your chat, refine and then take them into Canva, without losing creative momentum.

Share your vision, such as “Create an Instagram post for our upcoming sale”, and ChatGPT immediately returns an editable Canva design for you to preview and refine.

Here’s where it gets really exciting: you can now edit text across entire Canva designs just by chatting with ChatGPT. Imagine telling it to ‘remove all the jargon from this deck’ or ‘make this presentation more conversational’, and watching 50 slides transform instantly. Every headline, every bullet point, every caption updates simultaneously while your design and formatting remain untouched. What used to take hours of copying and pasting now happens in a single conversation.

Translation capabilities also make global expansion effortless. Simply ask ChatGPT to translate your presentation into Spanish, Japanese, or any language, and watch as every piece of text transforms while maintaining your design's visual impact.

➡️ Ready to try for yourself? Type Canva in your prompt to ChatGPT. For example, “Canva, create a presentation from this outline,” and ChatGPT can automatically surface the app in the chat and use relevant context to help.

Already live: Search and summarize your work with ChatGPT

In June we launched our deep research integration with ChatGPT, which offers a smart new way to explore and reference your Canva content in flow. With this launch, Canva became the first design platform to integrate directly into ChatGPT, turning static files into thoughtful, contextual insights.

Let’s say you’re prepping for a client call and want to revisit last quarter’s campaigns. Instead of digging through folders or switching apps, just ask: “Summarize our last three campaign strategy decks.” The deep research connector in ChatGPT will traverse your decks, strategy docs, and more to surface your content, unpack the key points, and help you move forward with confidence – all in one seamless flow.

If you're a marketer pulling insights from multiple product launch decks, a sales rep referencing case study content mid-chat, or a teacher summarizing lesson plans, deep research helps you uncover what matters. It gives smarter, more relevant responses because it's grounded in your actual work. No more digging through folders or searching for the latest version. Just click deep research in the chat, ask, and get exactly what you need.

    Built for today’s workflows

These launches are designed to help you work where you already are. Whether you’re ideating your next big idea, generating on-brand posts for your next campaign, or building strategy decks for global audiences, you can now bring Canva into the conversation – literally. No extra tools, and no copy-paste. Just better design, right where you’re already thinking.

For example, a marketer planning a campaign can generate assets using branded social templates, while taking into account their previous conversations. A salesperson can quickly prep for a meeting by summarizing a proposal deck and translating it for a different global audience. Creatives can draft ideas based on real-time feedback, while small businesses can build presentations from chat transcripts or planning notes.

And because all content stays private and permissioned, you can work with confidence. Only the assets you own are surfaced, and nothing is shared or edited unless you choose to act on it.

A first for design in the age of AI

These launches represent a fundamental shift in creative workflows. As design becomes native to AI conversations, Canva is establishing the visual layer of the AI era – powering creativity wherever ideas emerge, ensuring teams can transform thoughts into visuals instantly, consistently, and beautifully.

While others have brought CRM data or cloud documents into AI agents and assistants, Canva is one of the first visual design platforms to offer native, action-based integration inside tools like ChatGPT.

The Canva app in ChatGPT with full design capabilities is now rolling out to ChatGPT users on Free, Plus, and Pro plans outside the EU. Developers looking to shape the future of AI-assisted design can now start building with the Canva MCP Server by visiting our Canva Developers community (opens in a new tab or window).

Canva AI assistant goes multilingual: 16 new languages, infinite possibilities

Canva AI expands globally, now speaking 16 languages across 31 locales with culture-aware design. The update delivers native-language conversations and culturally tuned visuals, all tightly integrated with Canva’s editor for seamless, localized creative workflows.

    TL;DR:

    • Canva AI now speaks 16 languages beyond English, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Chinese, and more across 31 locales.
    • This development goes beyond basic translation by considering cultural context and regional design preferences.
    • Canva AI is now available for our international community to create designs through simple conversation in native language with the same intuitive interface.

When we launched Canva AI (opens in a new tab or window) in April, we were so excited about the creativity this would unlock. We also knew that to truly empower everyone to design, we’d need to overcome the complex technical challenges of bringing conversational AI to international markets, because creativity shouldn’t be limited by language.

Whether you’re a small business owner in Bangkok looking to create a marketing campaign, or you’re a teacher in São Paulo needing creative classroom materials that engage your students, we’re excited to share that you’ll no longer have to prompt in English to generate designs with Canva AI.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Canva AI now “speaks” 16 languages beyond English: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

This launch represents something bigger than new language support; it’s about ensuring that as AI reshapes creative work, no one gets left behind because of language barriers. Our community of 240 million people come from every corner of the globe, and our goal is to offer AI that works as naturally in their language as it does in English.

Speaking your language, understanding your culture

Over the past few months, we’ve watched Canva AI become one of our fastest-growing products. We’ve seen how you love being able to simply tell Canva what you want to create, whether through text or voice, and then watch your ideas come to life instantly.

Here’s what makes this truly exciting for our international community: it’s not just about translation. Canva AI doesn’t just understand what you’re asking for; it understands how various cultures prefer to communicate visually.

This cultural intelligence comes from months of sophisticated localization work, including integrating hundreds of templates and design assets from our diverse content library. As we continue developing these capabilities, someone in Tokyo asking for a professional presentation will see Canva AI consider Japanese design sensibilities, or someone in Mumbai requesting a festive poster will see Canva AI draw from culturally-relevant visual elements.

These everyday requests now work seamlessly in 16 new languages across 31 new locales.

A creative partner, built for your workflow

What sets Canva AI apart is how deeply integrated it is with the entire Canva experience. Instead of jumping between different AI tools, you can tell Canva AI what you want to create using text or voice, from brainstorming ideas to mapping out campaigns, or designing materials – all in your native language.

While other creative AI tools often require technical expertise or force users through complex, disconnected processes, Canva AI keeps everything conversational and accessible. You’re not just getting a translated interface; you’re getting a creative partner that understands both your language and your creative goals. It’s directly connected with Canva’s easy-to-use design editor and Visual Suite, making it simple for anyone to take their AI outputs through the last mile of adding a personal touch and publishing on any platform, all without leaving Canva.

    Try Canva AI for yourself

Moments like this remind us why localization isn’t just a feature, it’s fundamental to who we are. When creativity has no language barriers, our mission to empower everyone to design becomes reality, and amazing things happen.

Ready to try Canva AI in your language? Jump into Canva AI (opens in a new tab or window) and start a conversation. Whether you’re brainstorming in French or designing in Dutch, your next great idea is just a conversation away.

What’s new: Voiceovers, AI code, and tools for teams

New features boost visual content at scale with voiceover recording, AI code downloads, and smarter bulk creation. Brand templates live in core workflows, plus named bulk pages and up to 150 data fields for richer, personalized outputs. Available now.

We’ve released 5 new features, including voiceover recording, AI code downloads, and enhanced bulk creation tools to help teams create and scale visual content faster.

Visual communication is how modern teams work. It’s how ideas spread, how alignment happens, and how organizations scale. Our latest features recognize that reality and remove the friction that gets in the way. From professional voiceovers to AI-generated code you can actually download, this month’s updates help you express ideas as fast as you can think them.

    🎬 Make your content dynamic

Static designs are so yesterday. These features add personality and functionality to make your content more engaging and useful.

    • Create your own recorded voiceover: Level up your content with professional voiceovers! Perfect for explaining complex ideas or how-to guides, creating vlogs that connect with viewers, or adding that personal touch to social media content. Just hit record and your voice syncs seamlessly with your visuals.

    • Download code in Canva Code: AI builds it, you own it. After Canva Code (opens in a new tab or window) generates your custom app or tool, you can now view and copy the actual code. This closes the loop for developers and tech-savvy teams who want to customize further or integrate AI-generated solutions into their existing workflows.

    🚀 Work smarter at scale

When you’re creating for teams, classrooms, or large audiences, efficiency matters. These tools help you maintain quality while working at scale.

    • Brand Templates in core workflows: Your brand templates now appear right where you work, making it effortless for everyone to stay on-brand. No more hunting through folders or switching contexts – approved templates surface automatically in your team’s everyday workflows.

    • Custom page naming in Bulk Create: Finding and organizing bulk-created content just got a whole lot easier. When bulk creating, you can now use any data column to automatically name your pages, so instead of scrolling through generic numbered pages, you’ll see meaningful names like employee names, product SKUs, or campaign titles.

    • More data fields for Bulk Create & Data Autofill: Level up your data-driven designs with support for up to 150 fields. Create richer, more detailed personalized content at scale, from complex reports that pull from multiple data sources to hyper-personalized marketing materials that truly speak to each recipient.

Canva for Sales teams: Meet your new Work Kit

Canva launches the Sales Work Kit, a one‑stop visual toolkit with ready‑to‑use templates, resources, and apps to help sales teams create on‑brand, engaging collateral fast. It streamlines workflows with key integrations to accelerate deals and boost productivity.

By streamlining workflows and incorporating engaging visuals into outreach, pitch decks, and enablement materials, Sales teams can now make the most of the Sales Work Kit to capture attention, build trust, and accelerate deal cycles.

From hitting quotas to keeping prospects engaged amid information overload and juggling client demands, the stakes, and challenges for sales teams have never been higher. With time and attention at an all-time premium in today’s increasingly visual world, sales teams now need to deliver impactful, visual, and engaging content to make an impression and meet their goals.

That’s why we’re introducing Canva’s Sales Work Kit (opens in a new tab or window): designed and expertly curated to empower sales teams to connect with prospects, build relationships, and close deals faster with the help of world-class visual content.

The Sales Work Kit includes hundreds of professionally designed and customizable templates, educational resources, and apps, all purposefully curated and consolidated in one place. According to our Visual Economy Report (opens in a new tab or window), 88% of business leaders agree visual communication accelerates sales cycles. From pitch decks (opens in a new tab or window) to playbooks, Work Kits have been designed to take creativity and productivity in sales teams to new heights while helping to fortify the bottom line.

    A template for sales success

Creating collateral for customers and prospects that's on-brand both visually and contextually is time-consuming and one size no longer fits all. Design teams in every organization are strapped for resources, yet outbound, inbound, and field sales representatives all have different and rapidly evolving needs when it comes to sales collateral. But not just any design will do. Brand consistency is paramount: every touchpoint a customer has with your company needs to be recognizable, credible, and beautifully produced. In the Sales Work Kit, we’re giving sales reps access to a library of professionally designed templates to create beautiful and engaging content in just seconds. Think pitch decks, proposals (opens in a new tab or window), sales reports, discovery docs (opens in a new tab or window), funnel charts (opens in a new tab or window), and more.

Everyone can benefit from working with templates that can be pre-approved and quickly made brand-ready. They’re particularly useful when facing tight RFP deadlines and internal designers may not be able to turn around requests in time. A templated approach means there’s no need to rely on designers every time you need to update the details of a prospect or resize logos. Designers can focus on designing, and reps can focus on selling.

    Streamline workflows

Today’s reps have limited time to invest in learning new tools and already operate across a myriad of systems to complete day-to-day sales workflows. From CRMs to email marketing, prospecting, and analytics – the list goes on. The Sales Work Kit includes a bespoke range of apps and integrations (opens in a new tab or window) to make workflows even smoother. From easily accessing files with Sharepoint and Hubspot to making presentations dynamic with D-ID AO Presenters or Murf AI, our collection of business-critical apps makes reps more agile and responsive to customer needs.

Besides creating sales collateral, salespeople need to collaborate with other teams in areas such as marketing, product development, and customer service. With hybrid work (opens in a new tab or window) now the status quo, simple and effective collaboration has never been more important. Our integrations with apps like Slack and Teams eliminate bottlenecks and keep deals moving at pace thanks to real-time notifications and easy design sharing.

    Learn on the job

The sales landscape is constantly evolving with changes in customer preferences, market trends, and competitor strategies. In a dynamic environment, staying relevant is crucial for sales success. The Work Kit for Sales unlocks access to a library of educational resources, allowing reps to stay one step ahead with the latest visual communication trends, technologies, and best practices. From tutorials to webinars and case studies, the Sales Work Kit is jam-packed with helpful and easily digestible content.

We’ve built the Sales Work Kit based on how our own global Sales team uses Canva as well as feedback from many of our customers. They’re empowered to effortlessly create and collaborate on pitch decks, presentations, video demos (opens in a new tab or window), brochures, social media posts, and more, while Canva’s brand management tools ensure our brand identity consistently shines at every step. Branded templates and our extensive app ecosystem have been incredibly powerful for unlocking efficiencies and uplifting productivity as we’ve scaled as a global team and surpassed the milestone of $2 billion in annualized revenue.

“The introduction of the Sales Work Kit underpins a new era of organizational empowerment, equipping salespeople with the tools and expertise they need to enhance their visual communication at scale.”

By streamlining workflows and incorporating engaging visuals into outreach, pitch decks, and enablement materials, every sales team can now make the most of the Sales Work Kit to capture attention, build trust, and accelerate deal cycles.

Alongside Sales, Work Kits (opens in a new tab or window) are also available for HR (opens in a new tab or window), Marketing (opens in a new tab or window), and Creative (opens in a new tab or window) teams to enable even more collaboration.
