v3.1.3-a15
Introducing /e/OS 3.1.3 for Fairphone Gen 6, a maintenance release addressing critical regressions from 3.1.2. It restores SIM network registration, re-enables the hardware slider button, and fixes FCC regional compliance for US operation.
Please welcome /e/OS 3.1.3!
π
This is a stability and maintenance release for The Fairphone (Gen. 6) on Official. This release urgently addresses critical regressions introduced in the prematurely released /e/OS 3.1.2 build.
This update includes all the intended features of version 3.1.2, plus the following critical fixes:
- Radio & Connectivity: Fixed a major regression that prevented the SIM card from registering on mobile networks.
- Hardware Integration: Restored full functionality to the device's hardware slider button.
- Regional Compliance: Corrected the implementation of FCC certification changes, ensuring full compatibility for operation in the United States.

v3.1.2-a15
e/OS 3.1.3 replaces the withdrawn 3.1.2 for Fairphone Gen 6, delivering corrected FCC certification and fixes for network access and the slider. The earlier 3.1.2 was pulled due to critical issues, and users are urged to update to 3.1.3 when available.
Please note: /e/OS 3.1.2 has been superseded by version 3.1.3.
We had prematurely released builds for version 3.1.2 intended for The Fairphone (Gen. 6) on Official. This version was meant to introduce important FCC certification making the device fully usable in the USA.
Unfortunately, this premature release contained critical unresolved issues:
- IMEI was incorrect preventing SIM cards from connecting to mobile networks.
- The FCC certification changes were broken & The Fairphone (Gen 6)'s slider functionality was also non-operational.
To resolve this, we have withdrawn the 3.1.2 build and replaced it with a new, corrected version: /e/OS 3.1.3.
We strongly recommend all users to install the 3.1.3 update as soon as it's available: it includes the functional FCC certification and fixes for the network and slider issues. Please check your device's updater to get the latest version.
We sincerely apologize for this oversight and any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
