Account-Wide Ask Fathom improvements

Ask Fathom now uses keyword search to find specific details across meeting titles, participants, and transcripts, while reviewing call summaries to surface broader themes. This helps identify relevant older calls and deliver faster, more accurate answers.

Version 3.0+

Expanded language eligibility - In addition to English, users who record meetings in Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, or Vietnamese are now eligible to upgrade to Fathom 3.0. Other eligibility requirements still apply.

Fathom iOS mobile app

The Fathom iOS app is now available on the App Store. You can capture in-person conversations straight from your phone and review summaries, action items, and past meetings on the go. Learn more.

[TE] Enforce chat message

Admins can enforce an automated consent chat message for bot-free meetings for all users on the team. When enabled, Fathom automatically post a message in the meeting chat when capture begins, letting attendees know that Fathom is recording and taking notes. Learn more.

[TE] Default language for call summary

Users will be able to update their "default language" for post-call AI-generated summaries by selecting the language dropdown on the call page in the web app. The language defaults to "Auto" (i.e., the language used in the call), but users can choose to always have their summary in one of 7 languages.

[TE] Auto-capture and Team Visibility settings

Account and Team Admins can now set defaults for which meetings Fathom automatically captures and who they're visible to, configured separately for External, Internal, and Unscheduled meetings. Learn more.

[TE] Block botless recording

Organization Admins can block bot-free capture for their entire organization. When enabled, all meetings use a bot regardless of individual preferences. Bot-free options appear greyed out with an explanatory tooltip.

Recording downloads in the API

API users can now request a download for any recording they have access to. Learn more.

[TE] Recording deal association update - users can manually add or remove deals synced from HubSpot or Salesforce from calls in both the web and desktop applications. Learn more.

[Fathom Beta] Configure Slack Huddle recording preferences

the Settings page now has a section under the Video Conferencing header to set an auto-capture preference for impromptu Slack Huddles.

Send test webhooks - pressing the Send Test Payload button on the API key configuration page will fire off a test from the user's meetings.

Shared With field in the API

The Fathom API now includes a shared_with field for meetings indicating whether it is shared with no_teams, single_team, multiple_teams, or all_teams. Learn more.

[Fathom Beta] Short summaries in Desktop App - the My Meetings view in the Desktop App now displays short summaries of recordings to give more context before viewing an individual meeting.

Meeting URL in the API

the Fathom API now returns a meeting_url field on meeting responses and in webhook payloads.

Highlights in the API

you can now pull meeting highlights through the API by adding include_highlights=true to your /meetings request. The response includes a highlights field for each meeting with the highlight type, a summary of what was captured, and when it happened in the meeting. Learn more.
