Cross data source filtering

This feature lets you override default field IDs so that controls on a report can filter charts that are based on different data sources.

You can hide individual charts and components for all viewers or for a subset of viewers.

You can visualize your data using histogram charts. Histograms are useful for understanding the shape, center, and spread of your data, which in turn can lead to insights that might be hidden in other types of charts, such as pie charts and bar charts.

You can now send Looker Studio reports to Slack channels and Slack users on your Slack workspaces. This feature is now out of preview, and remains available only to Pro users.

Change

User interface change: "Add quick filter" is now "Add filter"

We've made a wording change to the filter bar in the report editor. The button label that previously said "Add quick filter" is now "Add filter." The functionality of quick filters hasn't changed.

Looker connector enhancements

Looker data sources now display the names of fields without their prepended view names. Fields are now nested under their corresponding views.
