    What's New Version 2026.2 June

Ivanti Neurons adds Virtual Vulnerability Scanner preview, richer device views and exports, AI-powered filtering, stronger App Control and audit permissions, and major Patch Management updates including Ubuntu and RHEL support, checkpoint patch chains, and larger data exports.

    Virtual Vulnerability Scanner (Technical Preview)

The Virtual Vulnerability Scanner (VVS) identifies security weaknesses in devices within Neurons. It checks the installed software against known vulnerabilities using data from the Software Inventory service.

Learn more about Virtual Vulnerability Scanner (Technical Preview).

    Version 2026.2 May

Object Ownership for Device and People Group

Device and People views support both private and public groups. Previously, private groups were owned exclusively by the user who created them. These groups can now be shared with Neurons users. Once a group is shared, it appears under the Managed Groups section, allowing shared users to view the Device/People group contents and make updates. However, shared users cannot delete the group.

Learn more about Object Ownership at Devices and People.

    Version 2026.2 April

    Platform

Dashboard Designer – New Access Device Columns

The new Access Device columns provide direct hyperlinks from the Devices, Devices DEX Score, Device Patch Scan, and Patch Deployment datasets to the Device Overview page, enabling users to view detailed device information outside of Dashboard Designer.

    Learn more about Dashboard Designer.

Audit Trails – Amazon S3 Outbound Connector

The Amazon S3 Outbound Connector Outbound Connector is now generally available.

Learn more about Amazon S3 Connector.

Audit Trails - Enhanced Access Control for Outbound Connectors

To enhance security, creating or modifying an Audit Trail outbound connector now requires both the Create Audit Trails Connectors and Modify Credentials permissions.

    Learn more about Connectors.

Audit Trails and Execution History - Script Output

Execution of scripts in both Audit Trails and Execution history now include the script that was executed.

    Power Management Enhancements

The new enhancements lets administrators add processor state in the Power Management settings. This option helps to retain the active settings of the device.

Learn more about Power Management Settings.

    App Control

    System Controls

App Control now lets administrators explicitly elevate or restrict System Controls covering Uninstall, Service, Event Log controls, and Process Termination. These actions can be set to elevate for approved scenarios or be restricted to enforce least-privilege access, reducing the need for full local admin rights.

Process Termination is now managed as a standalone privilege, allowing precise control over who can end processes without broad administrative permissions.

    Learn more about System Controls.

    Signature Items

The SHA256 hash of a file can now be used to identify the files to allow, deny or elevate. This gives customers in locked down and heavily regulated environments additional options in order to satisfy those requirements.

    Learn more about Signature Items.

    Add/Remove Trusted Owner Accounts

File ownership is fundamental to App Control and rules processing. Administrators can now extend and modify App Controls trusted owners list that allows for greater flexibility. For example, trusting deployment accounts to avoid the need for complex allow rules.

Learn more about Trusted Owners Settings.

    Workspace

Devices – Enhanced Access Control for Exports

To protect your device data, exporting from the Devices page now requires both View Reports and Create Reports permissions for Devices, in addition to the standard Device View permission, to export device data.

Learn more about Permissions and Roles.

Devices – AI Filter Builder for Device View

Use generative AI to quickly convert natural language prompts into valid UEM query syntax for faster device filtering on the Device View page.

Learn more about AI filtering for device view.

    Devices – Devices Views

Create and save custom column sets as private or public views allowing you to switch between different data perspectives with ease.

Learn more about Creating custom views for columns.

    Devices – Export Enhancement

Users can now export up to 1 million rows from the Devices page, with automatic transformation of secondary columns for easier downstream analysis. All exports are fully managed and accessible through Reports.

    Learn more about Exporting Devices.

Reports – Two New Remote-Control Reports

Two new out-of-the-box Remote Control reports are now available: Remote Control by Device and Remote Control by Operator.

Learn more about Remote Control Reports and Devices Reports.

Device Transaction Limit for Scheduled Bots

Added ability to prevent a scheduled Bot from executing when total number of targets exceed a pre-defined limit. If a workflow exceeds the limit, then the execution is cancelled and a notification produced.

    Learn more about Trigger settings.

    BASH and Command action improvements

The stages now have input support to include upstream data within the scripts.

    Learn more about Custom Stages.

Device Inventory Query stage – Saved View Support

Ability to select from Saved Views to populate the required columns on the device inventory query stage.

    New Stages for Bots
    • The AI versions of both BASH and Command actions are now added. These work and are controlled in the same way as the AI Powershell Stage.
    • Two new stages are added for random number and string generation.

    Learn more about Custom Stages.

    Patch Management

    Continuous Compliance - Deployment Schedules

Patch deployments can be scheduled for endpoints identified as missing updates in automatically created Compliance Baseline Patch Groups. This capability helps remediate devices that did not receive their regularly scheduled patches due to unforeseen issues, such as being offline or experiencing network connectivity problems. For more information, see Continuous Compliance.

    Checkpoint Cumulative Updates

Checkpoints are lightweight, incremental Microsoft patches that deliver only code changes since the previous update. Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management consolidates checkpoint chains into a single deployment, requiring just one reboot. For more information, see Checkpoint Patch Chains.

    Large Data Export

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management now supports exporting grid records for up to 100,000 endpoints. The export experience has been enhanced with filtering capabilities, notification tiles, and dedicated export status report pages. For more information, see Endpoint Vulnerability- Export.

    Ubuntu Linux Support

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management now supports Ubuntu 22.04 and Ubuntu 24.04. Added contentless support for scanning and deploying Ubuntu patches. See Supported Linux OS.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10 Support

Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management now supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10. Added contentless support for scanning and deploying patches to RHEL 10. See Supported Linux OS.

    Enhanced sideloading for large patches

Enhanced support for sideloading patches larger than 650 MB, allowing them to be uploaded and deployed without error.

    Enhanced search

All search bars now support partial string matching, making it easier to find results with incomplete or partial search terms.

End of Life (EoL) of social engagement features

Ivanti is announcing the End of Life (EoL) of the social engagement features in Ivanti Neurons for Patch Management. These features will be removed from the product as part of ongoing efforts to streamline functionality and focus on capabilities that provide the most value to customers. For more information, see EOL of social engagement features.
