Poke expands group chat power with group reminders, DM-to-group messaging, and message automation. It adds financial research tools and improved web results plus a TripIt automation. Also includes fixes and a simple account reconnect.
More ways to use Poke in group chats
Poke can now set reminders for the whole group - both one-time and recurring. Ask Poke to remind everyone about deadlines, events, or anything you don’t want to get lost in the conversation.
Also, you can now ask Poke via direct message to send a text to a group chat on your behalf. This is useful for sharing daily summaries/availability and scheduling messages without switching conversations. To schedule messages, just ask Poke to help you set up an automation.
Financial data and market insights
Poke can now help you research stocks, crypto, and financial markets. Ask about:
- Real-time and historical stock and crypto prices
- Company financials, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow
- SEC filings, analyst estimates, and earnings reports
- Company news with sentiment analysis
- Interest rates from central banks
Whether you’re tracking your portfolio or researching investments, Poke can get you the information you need.
Improvements
- You can now easily reconnect your primary email account with the “Reconnect Account” button in the settings page of our web app

Poke now works in iMessage group chats delivering up-to-date info, activity planning, translation, and image generation within conversations. It can respond to mentions, search the web, and create or edit photos while preserving group privacy, and a new Use Cases hub plus a draft email fix round out the update.
Poke in iMessage group chats
Poke now works in iMessage group chats. Try adding Poke to any conversation to get help with:
- finding up-to-date information from current events and the internet
- figuring out group activities and itineraries
- translating the conversation or message content
- generating images of group members from a reference
…plus the regular stuff like answering general questions and chatting with the group.
Functionality
In group chats, Poke understands the context of the conversation and responds naturally to inline replies. It can respond when mentioned (iMessage mention or simply with “Poke”), search the web to help settle debates or find information, and generate and edit photos.
We are looking into adding group event scheduling and shared context with individual chats in the future.
Privacy
In the group setting, Poke cannot access any member’s personal information, such as emails, calendars, or integrations. In order to use Poke in a group chat, at least one member must be registered.
All group chat messages are protected under our Maximum Privacy setting, so no human outside of the chat can see them. You can read more about privacy at poke.com/privacy.
If you experience any issues with Poke in group chats, please reach out to us at [email protected] for troubleshooting.
