Releasebot Release Notes

• Admin releases now show when each item was detected, alongside the release date.

• The admin layout got a cleaner grid-based sidebar and content layout.

• Release filters now include a dedicated “No Hint” view for layout 2 sources without a release name hint.

• The release admin list no longer shows the old reformatting controls and status messages.

• Release extraction now focuses on the main content area, improving how pages are parsed.

• Release extraction summaries now use a newer model and stricter JSON output for more reliable results.

• Cloudflare challenges are handled more smoothly by preserving the clearance cookie.

• The changelog text was cleaned up and older duplicate entries were removed.

• Admin — Sources: added a "Sort by" selector (Days since detected / Days since release date); sources header now shows total count and a refreshed timestamp.

• Welcome / Onboarding: visual and copy refinements — lighter/toned-down text and icon contrast, reduced search-icon opacity, updated sticky footer border, and small plan-selection wording tweaks.

• Billing & Welcome — Plans: removed the "Feed items updated ASAP" benefit from plan/feature lists.

• Updates / About / Advertise pages: small copy updates (shorter Updates heading, About wording fixes, and integrations copy changed to "many integration and alerting options").

• Advertise page copy refined: Releasebot description and audience snapshot wording clarified; email-frequency phrasing made more consistent.
• Advertise metric label changed from "Unique email opens / week" to "Emails opened / week".
• Admin — Users page: top-line metrics added (Total users and Digest subscribers); unconfirmed emails now show an "unverified" label; the visible user ID and the Feed column were removed; external search link now uses only the email local part.
• Admin — Sources list now sorts by an "effective" date (prefers release_date, falls back to detected date) so recently active sources surface correctly.
• Added an example email preview (static/example-email.html).

• Added a plain-text changelog endpoint at /changelog.txt (served with no-cache).

• UI pricing updated: Releasebot Pro now shown as $5/month or $50/year (Billing and Welcome pages).

Follow button improvements

• Follow state now uses a central follows store so buttons reflect your current follows more reliably.
• Vendor follow buttons show how many of that vendor's products you follow (e.g. "3 followed").
• Improved loading/toggling states and disabled state while an action is in progress; hover shows "Unfollow".
• Product listings: follow buttons now receive vendor context so vendor-level follow counts work.

Product updates

• Product updates page now shows vendor logos on the releases list.

About page

• About page copy edits for clearer messaging.

Admin: new Categories admin area and candidate-review updates

• Candidate review can suggest and assign a public category (feed) to a source.
• Promoting a candidate can optionally add the promoted product to a chosen public category feed.
