• 🐛 Illustrations on empty screens, onboarding, login, and settings now reserve their space while loading, so Amir’s fix keeps the page from jumping around underneath them.
• 🐛 Ernesto fixed team settings failing to save whenever an admin had changed their email domain. Unrelated changes no longer touch the team’s domain at all.
• 🐛 Guest subscription banners could show a raw, unresolved placeholder instead of an admin’s email. Ernesto made sure they fall back to plain guidance instead.
• 🐛 Double-clicking a task checkbox in calendar layout could complete the task next to it too. Ricardo closed that gap so only the one you clicked gets checked off.
• 🐛 Ricardo also fixed Undo not restoring your sorting, grouping, and filters after resetting view options. They all come back now, exactly as you left them.
• 🐛 Collapsing Favorites in the sidebar used to leave the projects below it as empty placeholders until you scrolled. Amir fixed the sidebar to render them right away.
• 🐛 Amir, who’s clearly been deep in the board code this week, also fixed filtered boards disabling sub-task buttons and hiding sub-tasks whose parent task didn’t match. Both now show up as expected.
• 🐛 Gonçalo removed an extra border that showed up around expanded sub-tasks in board view, leaving just the card border and the dividers between rows.
• 🐛 Henning fixed an error that could pop up when editing a task captured with Ramble, right as you tried to tweak the text.
• 🐛 Ernesto’s third fix of the week cleans up signup, too: invited people who try to sign up directly now get pointed to their invitation email instead of a generic error.
• 🐛 And to round out Ricardo’s week: time zone search in General settings now finds Kolkata and understands UTC/GMT offsets like UTC+5:30.

iOS

• ⚙️ On iPadOS 26, the sidebar now wears the system’s translucent glass look, courtesy of Paul K. – a soft blur of what’s behind it, tinted with your theme color.
• 🐛 On iOS 27, swipe typing a word right after Quick Add recognized a date could freeze the app entirely. Enric fixed it so typing continues normally.
• 🐛 Erik fixed two things in the Todoist share sheet: tapping to dismiss now works, and scanning a shared image into a task does too.
• 🐛 If you use Todoist in Japanese or Chinese, the date picker’s little dots marking which days already have tasks could vanish. Nolan made them stick around reliably.
• 🐛 Adding tasks past a project’s limit via multiline paste, drag-and-drop, Siri, Shortcuts, or Apple Watch used to silently fail to sync. Nolan also caught that and surfaces the limit message upfront now.
• 🐛 Saving a filter to a full workspace used to show it on your device while quietly failing to sync. Hiroki’s fix warns you about the limit upfront and keeps your draft open.
• 🐛 Nolan fixed a rare freeze on the launch screen that survived even a reinstall, caused by launch waiting on background upload setup it doesn’t actually need.
• 🐛 Hiroki also fixed a deleted filter’s tab bar title defaulting to “Filters”. It now reads “Filter”, matching what deleted projects and labels already show.
• 🐛 Nolan also straightened out a bug where dragging the Dynamic Add button in Today or Upcoming could shuffle your other tasks out of order. Now, everything else stays put.
• 🐛 A task opened from the widget or an add-task link could leave task details stuck open instead of showing the add form. Nolan made sure it closes first.
• 🐛 Account creation could fail right after installing, or on a slow connection, with a confusing “Temporary error”. Nolan made it wait for the security check instead of rushing past it.

Android

• ⚙️ Afzal refreshed the layout picker in view options and the calendar layout picker with tighter spacing and a clearer upgrade badge for locked layouts.
• ⚙️ Adding or rescheduling a task in the Upcoming view's calendar used to take several seconds to show. Amir’s rework of event loading gets it down to about a second.
• ⚙️ Carrie rolled out a new, more consistent chip design for labels throughout the app, matching the design system’s new look.
• ⚙️ Carrie’s new Person Chip look now covers collaborator chips too, replacing the old avatar-plus-text style.
• ⚙️ Craig rebuilt how Android generates links for tasks, projects, and comments so a copied link now matches the same URL you’d get on iOS or web.
• ⚙️ Sergey added a workspace icon to the Teams section of the navigation tab picker, so it’s easier to spot at a glance.
• 🐛 Craig also fixed several Todoist links that wouldn’t open correctly on Android, including workspace-filter shortcuts pinned to your home screen.
• 🐛 If a team project’s folder had been deleted elsewhere, Android used to hide the project. Amir made it show up at the top level instead, matching what web already does.
• 🐛 Amir also fixed Quick Add’s keyboard not reappearing after you picked a date. Now, it comes right back, cursor and all.
• 🐛 Urgent reminders now keep repeating their alert sound until you act on them. Carrie fixed a gap where it only played once.
• 🐛 Carrie also fixed a rare navigation glitch after creating a project, caused by the back stack holding onto its temporary ID instead of the final one.
• 🐛 The label picker’s search also got a fix from Carrie: the sheet now expands and keeps results scrollable instead of squeezing them under the keyboard.
• 🐛 Craig also caught a Quick Add bug on older Android versions where typing a space could pick an autocomplete suggestion instead of typing the space itself.
• 🐛 Kris stopped short decimals like 80.8 from turning into tappable phone links in task descriptions.
• 🐛 Kris also fixed signup on Android for anyone with a pending invite. Instead of a generic error, you’ll now be told to open your invitation email to finish up.
• 🐛 Pedro S. closed a crash that could hit right after joining a team project, when the screen was still pointing at the old preview that had already been replaced.
• 🐛 Pedro S. also tracked down a similar issue in the calendar layout, where dragging or resizing a freshly synced task could crash the app mid-edit.
• 🐛 Rasto gave Free-plan accounts urgency controls on their one self-only at-due reminder, the same picker Pro and Business already use.

• ⭐ Amir made it possible to add a duration without a date or time, from the time picker or Quick Add (try “Write paper for 1h”). Durations now also stay put when you remove a date, and the calendar respects them when you drag a task in.
• ⭐ Sub-tasks now show up right on project boards: expand a task to view, complete, and assign its sub-tasks without opening task details, thanks to Amir. You can also edit their dates and deadlines, open their labels, or right-click for more actions.
• ⚙️ Looking for “Collapse/expand view”? Amir added it to the command menu (Cmd/Ctrl+K), along with new shortcuts: Cmd+Option+T on Mac and Ctrl+Alt+T on Windows.
• ⚙️ Alex M. gave your team’s templates their own page in the template gallery, so they no longer mix with your personal ones.
• ⚙️ The Share and Edit project dialogs for personal projects no longer show a “Team” access option that didn’t do anything, another tidy-up from Francesca.
• ⚙️ Francesca also removed “Add section” from the project menu in calendar layout, where sections don’t apply.
• ⚙️ If your plan doesn’t include deadlines or durations, importing a CSV template that uses them now offers an upgrade instead of leaving you to wonder where they went, thanks to Frankie.
• ⚙️ Ernesto also made signing in or linking your account with Google or Facebook more secure, with clearer error handling when something goes wrong.

• ⚙️ Section links now open the right section when you click them from other apps on Mac, thanks to Seva.

• 🐛 On boards, moving a task to a shared project and assigning it in the same edit now keeps the assignee. Ernesto tracked that one down.
• 🐛 Team projects created from a template now show the correct project menu right away, another catch from Ernesto.
• 🐛 Rui made sure tasks dragged to the bottom of a day in Today or Upcoming stay where you drop them.

• ⭐ Paul K. taught Siri AI on iOS 27 to recognize the tasks on screen in the week calendar, so you can say things like “Reschedule the second one to tomorrow.”
• ⚙️ Alex M. reorganized the project menu: Move, Duplicate, and folder actions now sit together under Project Actions, and Save as Template and Apply a Template (formerly Browse Templates) have their own section.
• ⚙️ Hiroki added an icon beside the Team section title in the list picker, so it’s easier to spot.
• 🐛 When you share something to Todoist, the background now fades in smoothly instead of sliding into view, thanks to Amir.
• 🐛 An issue that could make the app crash on iOS 26 is now resolved, thanks to Erik.
• 🐛 If you add a task just before it’s due, Todoist now skips automatic reminders whose time has already passed and lets you know, thanks to Nolan.
• 🐛 Paul K. sorted out Siri tagging: asking it to use a label that starts with an emoji, like “📆 appointment,” now uses your existing label instead of creating a new one.
• 🐛 Hiroki made sure tasks added from a column on a board grouped by deadline now pick up that column’s deadline.

• ⚙️ The comments caption now lines up neatly with the title, thanks to Rasto.
• ⚙️ Rasto also gave Ramble a clear “try again later” message when it’s busy, and any tasks you’ve already captured stay ready to add.
• 🐛 Olga corrected the Russian label for the weekday repeat option, and the Contact support form now stays visible when the keyboard opens.
• 🐛 Opening a comment notification for a newly synced task no longer shows an unknown error, thanks to Prateek.
• 🐛 Julia P. resolved an issue that could crash the app when returning from Facebook login.
• 🐛 If a task you selected is no longer available, the scheduler now closes with a clear message instead of failing. Pedro S. made the change.

• 🐛 An iOS update or a restore from backup could quietly stop urgent reminders from firing on your own device – Nolan’s fix now re-registers it automatically so they keep arriving.
• 🐛 If a task’s duration arrived as a number of days from a third-party integration, editing it used to quietly erase that duration – Nolan made sure it now survives every edit.
• 🐛 Searching Spotlight after a sync could turn up stale project names, or nothing from Todoist at all – Paul K. fixed the timing bug behind it, so Spotlight and Siri both stay current.

Android

• ⭐ Type “Meet tomorrow 9-10” into Quick Add on a paid plan, and Todoist now catches both the start time and the duration – parsing work from Amir.
• ⭐ Rasto added real Markdown table rendering to task descriptions and comments, complete with alignment, links, and horizontal scrolling when a table’s too wide for the screen.
• ⚙️ Sergey cleaned up the notifications onboarding step – the button now says “Next” instead of a dead-end “Remind me” when every option’s off, and your choices stick even if you decline push.
• ⚙️ Sergey also gave team admins the ability to delete an archived project they haven’t joined, instead of being stuck with it in the list.
• 🐛 Grouping by assignee could split one teammate’s tasks into two separate sections – Olga fixed the mismatch so they land together now.

• 🐛 If a mistyped email address left you stuck behind Todoist’s verification screen, Ernesto added a way out: a ‘Change email address’ link right there.
• 🐛 Ernesto also made sync recovery gentler: a forced reset no longer discards changes you hadn’t synced yet, and recurring tasks keep their correct date.

• ⚙️ Press and hold an empty slot in the calendar layout, then drag the new task block to another time or day before adding it. Amir made it move with you.
• ⚙️ Julia E. and Hiroki rewrote the tab bar settings footer to explain the 5-tab limit, and that a removed tab returns to your menu.
• ⚙️ Hiroki also skipped the extra tap: drag handles for reordering tabs in Navigation settings show up immediately, no need to hit Edit first.
• ⚙️ Enric pulled the Liquid Glass effect out of Quick Add after it made text harder to read on iOS 27 – plain and legible wins this round.
• ⚙️ Pull-to-refresh could hang open for up to 30 seconds on a slow connection; Amir capped it at 10, with syncing still finishing quietly in the background.
• 🐛 Amir also trimmed the wait before Quick Add opens, especially when sharing from another app – the editor now opens directly in the share screen instead of a second modal.
• 🐛 A third fix from Amir: calendar events used to leave extra space behind after they ended, and the layout now resizes as soon as the events change.
• 🐛 Turning off every notification option during onboarding still showed ‘Remind Me’ and requested permission anyway; Alex M. switched it to ‘Next’ in that case, and made sure your choices actually save.

• ⚙️ Amir sped up how your calendar renders projects and events, so busier calendars load and scroll more smoothly.
• 🐛 Afzal evened out dark theme backgrounds across grouped screens – project lists, filters, labels, and more – so contrast looks consistent throughout the app.

• 🐛 In calendar week layout, a completed task landing on the first of next month sometimes wouldn’t show up until you scrolled right to it – Erik fixed the timing.
• 🐛 Saved locations that you’d cleared could reappear after your next sync – Nolan made sure clearing them now removes them from your account for good.
• 🐛 The iPad Navigation settings screen used to say hidden items move to the “tab bar,” which iPad doesn’t have – Nolan corrected it to point to “More” in the sidebar instead.
• 🐛 Nolan also closed a Quick Add gap where typing only a slash could offer to create a nameless section that would never actually sync.
• 🐛 Entering an out-of-range daily or weekly productivity goal used to fail to sync without warning – Nolan added validation so only supported values get saved.
• 🐛 Some third-party keyboards, like Microsoft SwiftKey, could leave a stray suggestions panel stuck on screen after Return failed to add the task – Paul K. made Return reliably finish the job.
• 🐛 Paul K. also fixed the Upcoming calendar picker snapping back to the current week after you collapsed it, even when you’d selected a date further out.

Android

• ⚙️ Amir brought the same clarity to Android’s calendar overflow – past events are now called out separately, and an active meeting never gets buried in the count while it’s happening.
• ⚙️ Adding a sub-task from the task details screen is quicker now – Sergey moved the shortcut back up next to the Sub-tasks header instead of after your completed sub-tasks.
• 🐛 Scheduling an undated task for a specific time could stop its automatic reminder from firing – Pedro S. fixed the order so the date now syncs to the server before the reminder does.
• 🐛 Rasto resized rows in the Productivity chart so labels stay readable at larger system text sizes instead of overlapping.
• 🐛 Todoist in Russian could crash when Today tried to count 2 to 9 past calendar events – Amir fixed a translation string that didn’t match the plural rules.
• 🐛 Amir also fixed a bug where switching away from Calendar layout, or clearing a sort or filter, could silently wipe your hidden calendar settings.
• 🐛 On Android 16, pressing Back to exit multi-select could also navigate you away in the same step – Julia P. made sure Back only clears your selection first.
• 🐛 Julia P. also tracked down a case where rotating your device mid-selection on a board could make Todoist quit unexpectedly instead of restoring your selected tasks.

Add a description to any project or section – the goal, the context, the thing you’d otherwise have to re-explain to whoever joins next (or to yourself, three months from now, staring at a section called “Phase 2 stuff” wondering what happened to Phase 1).

Descriptions show as a one-line preview under the name – hover to read the full thing, click to edit. They’re reachable through our API, CLI, and MCP too, so if you’ve connected an AI agent, it already knows what the project’s about without you retyping “this project is about X” into every chat.
