      • Address bar and split-screen animations
    • On macOS, we’ve fixed issues related to:
      • Light/dark mode switching affecting the tab strip
      • Browser reopening with docked side panel
      • Split screen becoming unclickable
    • New feature (in progress) Vertical Tabs is now available:
      • To try it out, simply right-click on the tab bar and select “Use vertical tab strip” from the context menu.
      • Please keep in mind this is just the first iteration, it’s still a work in progress, and you might encounter bugs or incomplete behavior.

    Opera has released a new initial update, version: 131.0.5877.5

    Browser is now based on Chromium 147.0.7727.56.

    Many of the changes in this release ranging from crash fixes and UI refinements to improvements in features like Picture-in-Picture, sidebar behavior, and tab handling, were previously introduced and tested in the Developer channel. With this update, they have now made their way into the stable release.

    New Ad Blocker (available in Early Bird): A new Ad Blocker implementation is now available in Early Bird, offering improved performance and expanded blocking capabilities.

    Known issue: the “Clear data on exit” feature is currently hidden in this version. We’re aware of it and actively working on bringing it back in an upcoming update.

      • The new Volume Booster is now available in Early Bird and supports boosting audio up to 500%.
      • To enable it, open a page that plays audio, hover over the tab to show the tooltip, and adjust the volume booster from there.
    • Browser Connector (available in Early Bird)
      • Browser Connector is now enabled in Early Bird. This feature allows you to connect Opera with AI services.
      • To use it, install the connector extension via the opera://settings AI services section, after which you can link it with tools like ChatGPT or Claude.ai for a more integrated browsing and AI experience.

    • Guest tab keyboard shortcuts were previously visible in Opera One despite being exclusive to Opera GX. This inconsistency has now been corrected.
