Note

New, enhanced, and changed features
AI Companion
New or enhanced feature Summary enablement prompt for hosted meetings Users who have both the meeting summary and auto-start summary settings disabled and unlocked at the user level are prompted to enable these settings for their hosted meetings. The prompt appears when scheduling a meeting or when viewing a summary from a meeting they attended as a participant. In addition, participations that have the above settings disabled for their account are prompted to enable them when viewing summaries of other meetings they attend. Clicking Enable launches the existing AI Companion onboarding widget to guide users through enabling meeting summary and its associated sub-settings. Clicking X dismisses the prompt on that specific surface, while clicking Don't show again dismisses it across all relevant surfaces on that device.
General features
New or enhanced feature Support automatic sign-in when joining a meeting from a web browser Users who are signed into the Zoom web portal and click a meeting link from a browser can be signed into the Zoom Workplace app during the meeting join flow. On the pre-meeting preview screen, users are presented with the option to sign in as the current web portal user, join without sign-in or join as another account. If the web and Zoom Workplace app sessions already share the same signed-in user, no additional prompt is displayed and the existing flow is followed. When the automatic login completes, the full app session is established, making features such as Mail, Calendar, and Docs available within the application. Note: Implementation will be done in phases, with deployment expected to complete on June 2026.
Host features
New or enhanced feature Ability to resend a meeting summary Meeting hosts and summary owners can resend a meeting summary after the meeting has ended directly from the summary view. When resending, users can add or remove recipients before the summary is distributed, in addition to sending to the original recipients and host. This addresses situations where recipients were missed, email delivery failed, or stakeholders were added after the meeting concluded. The resend action is available on the summary view, reducing the need to manually forward or copy summary content outside of Zoom.
In-meeting features
New or enhanced feature Enhancements to meeting transcripts and captions Transcript experience in meetings is improved to make viewing and saving more flexible and easier to understand. The enhancement includes: Higher-quality transcripts are available during meetings. Greater host control: Hosts decide whether Transcripts are enabled for a meeting and can manage who is allowed to view or save them. Participant requests: If Transcript is not enabled, participants can request that the host enable Transcripts for the meeting. Admin configuration: Organizations can configure transcripts to be "always on" across meetings. New transcript settings: Clearer host and admin controls, with existing settings migrated where technically possible. Clear distinction: Captions support in-meeting accessibility, while transcripts serve as the saved meeting record.
New or enhanced feature Consolidate custom disclaimers The consolidated notice experience lets account owners and admins bring all active custom disclaimers together into a single modal shown at join rather than several notices appearing at one time.
Mail and Calendar features
New or enhanced feature Enhancements to calendar features on web Users on Zoom Workplace desktop app and web experience will have a consistent calendar feature behavior for the meeting lifecycle. Previously, a number of inconsistencies existed between Calendar on the web and in the Zoom Workplace desktop app when performing calendar-related actions such as scheduling, editing, and managing meetings. These gaps have been addressed to bring the web experience in line with the desktop app.

New, enhanced, and changed features
- Show or hide icon labels in the navigation bar: Users can hide text labels on navigation bar app icons in the Zoom Workplace desktop app, displaying icons only for a more compact interface. This setting is accessible through a right-click menu on app icons. The default behavior continues to display icons with text labels. This is an app-level setting with no admin controls, and users who reinstall the app or switch devices will need to reconfigure their preferred state.
- Improvements to the AI Companion side panel user experience: The AI Companion side panel is transitioning from a global navigation element to local, product-specific side panels within individual Zoom Workplace surfaces (such as Mail, Calendar, Chat, Canvas, and Phone). The AI Companion icon will be removed from the desktop app header, and each product tab will instead have its own entry point for its AI Companion side panel, providing more contextual assistance within each product. Note: This enhancement will gradually roll out to customers and is expected to be available to most customers by the end of May 2026. At this time, customers with Custom AI Companion are not impacted by this change.
- Support automatic sign-in when joining a meeting from a web browser: Users who are signed into the Zoom web portal and click a meeting link from a browser can be signed into the Zoom Workplace app during the meeting join flow. On the pre-meeting preview screen, users are presented with the option to sign in as the current web portal user, join without sign-in or join as another account. If the web and Zoom Workplace app sessions already share the same signed-in user, no additional prompt is displayed and the existing flow is followed. When the automatic login completes, the full app session is established, making features such as Mail, Calendar, and Canvas available within the application. Note: Implementation will be done in phases, with deployment expected to complete on June 2026.
- Summary enablement prompt for hosted meetings: Users who have both the meeting summary and auto-start summary settings disabled and unlocked at the user level are prompted to enable these settings for their hosted meetings. The prompt appears when scheduling a meeting or when viewing a summary from a meeting they attended as a participant. In addition, participants that have the above settings disabled for their account are prompted to enable them when viewing summaries of other meetings they attend. Clicking Enable launches the existing AI Companion onboarding widget to guide users through enabling meeting summary and its associated sub-settings. Clicking X dismisses the prompt on that specific surface, while clicking Don't show again dismisses it across all relevant surfaces on that device.
- Enhancements to meeting transcripts and captions: Transcript experience in meetings is improved to make viewing and saving more flexible and easier to understand.
- Consolidate custom disclaimers: The consolidated notice experience lets account owners and admins bring all active custom disclaimers together into a single modal shown at join rather than several notices appearing at one time.
- Introducing the new Zoom Chat experience: Zoom is introducing a new Zoom Chat experience, a next-generation design that enhances how users communicate across Zoom Workplace. The updated experience brings a refreshed look along with a range of usability improvements designed to support more efficient everyday workflows. These include: Modernized interface, Enhanced compose experience, Unified expression picker, Inline attachments, Quick actions, Merged Shared Spaces section, and many more enhancements throughout the experience. With this change, enhancements to Zoom Chat will only be included in the Release notes for Zoom Chat moving forward. Note: The new Zoom Chat experience will gradually roll out to customers.
- Real-time caption translation support for international collaboration: Users can view translated captions in their selected target language during Zoom Phone calls when live transcription is enabled. The feature translates captions in real time while preserving the original transcriptions. Users can select their preferred translation language through in-call settings or web preferences, and toggle translation on or off without disabling live transcription. Account owners and admins can control translation availability through existing live transcription policies at the account, site, group, or extension level. The feature uses the same translation services and language support as Zoom Meetings caption translation, with each participant able to choose their own target language independently. This enhancement improves communication for multilingual teams and non-native speakers during phone conversations. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.
- Cellular companion billing integration: Users can enable Cellular Companion to route incoming Zoom Phone calls to their mobile devices, with calls charged according to Pay As You Go rates. The feature requires Pay As You Go billing to be enabled on the account before activation. When calls are directed to cellular numbers in countries where billing is not supported, the system automatically routes them to voicemail and logs the activity for administrative review. An onboarding wizard in the desktop and mobile clients helps users discover and configure this functionality, extending Zoom Phone accessibility across multiple devices.
- Call summaries and notifications for missed Zoom Virtual Agent calls: Users who rely on Zoom Virtual Agent for after-hours call handling can view missed call notifications with summarized descriptions of caller inquiries. When filtering call history by Summary, users can identify missed calls from Zoom Virtual Agent and review concise explanations of what callers were seeking. The feature is available on the desktop app. Users can quickly determine whether calls are from new customers seeking services or existing customers with issues requiring follow-up. This visibility into missed call context reduces delays and improves callback efficiency.
- Enhancements to the Workflow Automation tab migration experience: The Workflow Automation tab in the Zoom Workplace desktop app has been updated to incorporate the new AI Companion Workflow feature. New users without any classic workflows will be directed to the AI Companion Workflows builder. Existing users who have used the Workflow Automation tab will see a message encouraging them to transition to the new AI Companion Workflows experience, providing a clear migration path to the latest workflow functionality, while still retaining access to the legacy Workflow Automation builder. In addition, admins will have access to a new Allow incoming Webhook for agentic workflows setting, available under the main Workflow Automation setting, to control webhook access in new agentic workflows. This setting will be enabled by default.

Host features
New or enhanced feature Support Voice translator during meetings Account owners and admins with eligible accounts can enable Voice translator capabilities that convert translated captions into spoken audio for meeting participants. The feature integrates with existing AI-powered translated captions technology and provides automated text-to-speech services in multiple languages. This feature uses artificial intelligence to process spoken language, translate content, and generate synthetic speech in real-time. Translation quality may vary and evolve depending on language pair, audio quality, and speaking clarity. Users can customize their translation experience by selecting interpreter personas and preferred spoken languages. Note: Implementation will be done in phases, with beta access given to eligible accounts with limitations. Windows macOS
New or enhanced feature Support custom emojis in meeting Meeting participants can access custom emojis in chat messages and video reactions. Windows macOS Linux iOS iOS (Intune) Android Android (Intune)
New or enhanced feature AI avatars in meetings Zoom introduces AI avatars that move and react like the user, offering both Realistic and Stylized options generated from a photo and animated in real time using the camera feed. The feature processes facial data to create a photorealistic digital representation. Users can create and customize their avatar from the Zoom Workplace app Settings > Video & effects > Avatars tab. Users must provide explicit consent before avatar creation. Users can switch between avatar and live video during meetings, and delete the avatar and associated data at any time. Windows macOS
New or enhanced feature Enhanced in-meeting participant list status icons and better visibility of available actions Users can access detailed information about participant statuses through enhanced tooltip functionality in the participants list. The previous hover behavior that displayed large mute and more buttons has been replaced with a persistent layout where status icons remain visible and action buttons stay consistently displayed. Each status icon shows descriptive tooltips when hovered, indicating the current state or available action such as Muted or Video on . Windows macOS Linux
New or enhanced feature Dynamic gallery view support for up to 49 participants Users can display up to 49 participants in dynamic gallery view, matching their Maximum participants per screen setting (25 or 49) in Settings > Meetings & webinars > Participant video . Previously, dynamic gallery view was limited to 9 participants regardless of this setting. Windows macOS Linux
New or enhanced feature Browser tab sharing Users can share an individual Chrome or Edge browser tab during meetings without revealing their other open tabs. Presenters can select any tab from the sharing menu and only that tab is visible to participants, even if they switch away during the presentation. This feature provides presenters with greater privacy control and helps participants focus on relevant content without distractions from unrelated browser tabs. Windows macOS
New or enhanced feature Blocking copy and download of files in meeting chat Account owners and admins can enable or disable a setting that prevents all meeting participants from copying or downloading content uploaded to meeting chat through Zoom's interface. The restriction covers files, images, and screenshots shared by any attendee during the meeting session. This setting controls Zoom application features but cannot prevent participants from using external screen capture tools, taking photos of screens, or utilizing other methods of content capture outside the Zoom application. This feature must be enabled by Zoom. Web app Windows macOS Linux iOS iOS (Intune) Android Android (Intune)
New or enhanced feature Automated local recording start upon host approval During a meeting, when participants request to start a computer recording, they see a notification explaining that computer recording will start automatically once the host approves their request. New or enhanced feature Ability to bypass waiting room for organization accounts Meeting participants can bypass the waiting room when joining meetings hosted by someone within their organization. The meeting host can opt to automatically admit participants from any account connected within their organization while external participants remain subject to waiting room controls. The setting to enable waiting room bypass can be managed by the account owners and admins. Web app Windows macOS Linux iOS iOS (Intune) Android Android (Intune)
New or enhanced feature 3-minute caption scroll back Users can scroll back through captions for up to 3 minutes when captions are displayed. This enhancement allows participants to revisit earlier meeting content making it easier for users to catch up on missed content or review important information shared earlier in the conversation. Web app Windows macOS
User features
New or enhanced feature Support adding alternative hosts in meeting templates Users can add alternative hosts directly within meeting templates during the creation process. The alternative hosts are automatically applied when the template is used to schedule new meetings. This enhancement helps with the scheduling process and helps maintain meeting continuity by pre-designating backup hosts. Web portal
