API Credential now appears towards the top of the New Item screen.

We’ve improved the New Item screen so the additional item types are easier to find.

The search field on the New Item screen now reads “Search for a website or category”.

The export confirmation screen now includes a clearer warning about storing unencrypted files safely and a link to learn more about exporting your data.

We’ve updated the text in the “Access your passwords everywhere” setup task to say “Set up the 1Password apps so you can recover your account if you ever get locked out”.

We’ve made visual improvements to the Developer > Environments > Generic OIDC destination screen, including more consistent spacing between field labels and inputs and matching colors for text.

You can now connect 1Password to supported AI agents so they can sign in to websites on your behalf. When an agent needs a login, 1Password asks you to approve the request and choose which logins from your Private vault it can use.

If your organization sets a default sign-in address using an MDM solution, 1Password now uses it on the sign-in screen.

The Developer Watchtower page now includes breadcrumb navigation.

Developer Environments now includes programmatic access options for the 1Password CLI and SDKs, along with an option to copy the environment ID.

We’ve simplified the steps to add your account from 1Password.com or by scanning a QR code with 1Password on your mobile device.

We’ve made visual improvements to the “Migrate data into 1Password” option on the New Item screen. It now appears as a compact button with an icon, making it clearer that it’s an action rather than an item type.

We’ve made visual improvements to the single sign-on (SSO) migration prompt. It now has a simpler, more compact design.

If an error occurs when you try to add an account from 1Password.com that signs in with SSO, you’ll now see a specific error message instead of a generic one.

When “Unlock using Windows Hello” is turned on, the Convenient and Balanced security presets now turn on Trusted Platform Module (TPM) support by default.

Improvements and Fixes

You can now configure the SSH agent to prompt for approval on every SSH request in Settings > Developer > Advanced > “Ask approval for each new”.

We’ve improved the layout of the custom workflow (OIDC) setup screen and workflow entries.

Suggestions when generating or changing passwords have been updated with new password and website requirements.

Login items for claude.ai, claude.com, or anthropic.com are now suggested across all three websites.

We’ve improved screen reader support on the sign-in screen by announcing when the QR code is loading.

If you select the offline indicator, you’ll now see a prompt to sign in again if you switched to SSO after it was enforced by your administrator.

We’ve fixed an issue where system authentication prompts, like for 1Password CLI or the SSH agent, wouldn’t always display if all of your 1Password accounts were unlocked.

You can now use 1Password.com to add your account to the 1Password app without needing to re-enter your password, Secret Key, or an SSO verification code.

If you copy an account detail in the Manage Accounts pop-up, it’ll no longer appear in your device’s clipboard history.

We’ve fixed an issue where long file paths could hide the add or remove buttons for browsers in Settings > Browser.

Prompts related to offline items are now displayed more if you have items that can’t be synced with your 1Password account, including deleted items.

You can now select Offline Items in the sidebar if you have any items that can’t be synced with your 1Password account.

We’ve fixed an issue where you could be asked to sign in multiple times after changing your account password.

We’ve fixed an issue where separate windows (such as Settings) could show the main 1Password window’s title instead of their own.

We’ve fixed an issue where some attachments didn’t upload when adding multiple files to a Document item using drag and drop.

Item date fields now use the date format you’ve chosen in your system settings. If you’ve set a language in 1Password that’s different from your system, dates use that language’s format instead.

When you use Auto-Type to fill into an unsigned or untrusted app, 1Password now asks for confirmation instead of silently failing.

1Password no longer leaves extra background processes running when you use a custom Chromium-based browser that isn’t in your additional browsers list.

1Password now uses your “Use your device’s Trusted Platform Module to unlock” setting consistently when storing unlock data.

When you use “Type in window” to fill a username or password into another app, the window selection menu now shows an app icon next to each open window.

We’ve fixed a typo in the Settings > Security > Windows Hello settings text.

Developer Watchtower descriptions on the Developer homepage and in Watchtower now mention scanning for plaintext secrets, including .env files and SSH keys.

When you import a 1PUX file, but you don’t have the permission to create vaults in your 1Password account, only private items will be imported.
