Simply activate the Adobe plugin, describe what you want to create, and it automatically brings together the right Adobe tools behind the scenes to get you there. Drawing on more than 70 tools across Adobe’s creative and productivity suites, the Adobe plugin in ChatGPT supports a wide range of workflows, from editing photos and creating campaign videos to designing marketing assets and generating polished PDFs — all through rich, interactive experiences right in the flow of the conversation. One unified Adobe plugin now takes you from idea to finished work in a single connected experience in ChatGPT.

How to get started with the Adobe plugin in ChatGPT

• Open ChatGPT, go to Plugins, and add the Adobe plugin.
• Start a new chat, then type “@Adobe” and select Adobe from the menu or use the “+” button to choose it from your installed plugins.
• Continue as a guest or sign in with your Adobe account for an even richer experience.

You can start creating immediately as a guest using a broad set of Adobe tools. Sign in with your Adobe account to unlock generative capabilities, access your Creative Cloud files, and save your work across sessions, making it even easier to pick up where you left off in ChatGPT.

Push your ideas even further in Adobe’s apps

The Adobe plugin in ChatGPT is designed to meet you where you’re already working, making it easy to move from ideas to high-quality content inside ChatGPT. Many of WhatsApp's three billion users already use the platform to share files and move work forward. Adobe Acrobat has long delivered trusted PDF viewing, collaboration and AI-powered productivity in the places where people work with documents. Integrating Acrobat into WhatsApp extends that value, so you can stay in the flow whether you're reviewing an invoice, checking a contract, looking over a design or confirming details.

Now available, globally

Acrobat-powered PDF experiences are now available globally on WhatsApp Web and Windows and include:

• Acrobat-powered PDF previews that open directly in your conversation
• Full-screen PDF viewing in chat, including for password-protected files
• Markup tools for you to highlight, strike through text and more
• Access to advanced Acrobat tools so you can edit and send the revised PDF right back to the chat

Open PDFs instantly without leaving your chat

Now, when someone shares a PDF in WhatsApp Web or Windows, you can open it instantly in the conversation. Scroll, zoom and read the full document without downloading the file or switching apps. Password-protected files stay secure, helping ensure only the intended recipients can access them.

With Acrobat powering the experience, your documents render exactly as intended, preserving layout and formatting. Documents shared within your chats remain end-to-end encrypted like all other personal messages, meaning that only those in the chat can read them.

Make lightweight markups right in the chat

Once you've reviewed the document, you can quickly add feedback right in the chat with PDF tools that allow you to draw, highlight, underline and strike through text. Circle a clause you want someone to double-check, cross out an outdated line or underline the details that matter most. You can make you markups without ever leaving WhatsApp, so you don't interrupt the chat.

Edit, share and unlock more with Acrobat

For more advanced needs, click “Edit in Acrobat” to access additional Acrobat tools so you can edit, organize, sign, apply password protection and more. With Acrobat AI Assistant, you can also summarize documents, ask questions and surface key insights in seconds. Advanced editing and AI Assistant capabilities are available with an Acrobat subscription. Once you’re done, just share the updated file back into the same WhatsApp conversation, so everyone stays aligned on the latest version.

By bringing Acrobat-powered PDF experiences into WhatsApp Web and Windows, you can go from receiving a document to acting on it instantly. And with Acrobat’s full capabilities, including AI Assistant, every document in your chat becomes something you can understand, edit and move forward.

Curate how recipients experience your PDF Space using the overview page.

As a PDF Space owner, you can organize a collection of files and control how the content is structured and presented. Adjust the layout, edit AI-generated content, customize the theme and link preview, and add content such as audio, presentations, or images.

Arrange the items

Control the structure and flow of your PDF Space by arranging what appears first and removing undesired items.

Open the PDF Space to view the Overview page.

To reorder items, hover over one until the hand cursor appears, then click and drag it to the desired position.

Strategically place the audio and text summaries to help recipients understand complex content.

(Optional) To edit the title, select Edit and update the text and styling. Select Done to save.

(Optional) To remove an item, hover over it and select Delete > Remove.

Edit the AI-generated text summary

Refine AI-generated content to reflect your intent before sharing with recipients.

Hover over the AI‑generated summary and select Edit

Edit the text directly to adjust wording, tone, or emphasis.

Select Done to update.

Customize the AI-generated audio summary

Fine‑tune audio content by editing its transcript instead of regenerating it.

Select Edit in the Audio summary to update what recipients hear.

Edit the transcript directly to revise wording, add context, or remove items.

Select Add content to add a new item, then enter your text.

Customize and share the audio overview for quick scanning of key insights across multiple documents.

Select Delete on any item you don’t want to include.

Select Update to apply your changes and refresh the audio summary.

Add and manage items

Create a more engaging and branded experience by adding podcasts, text items, and notes to your PDF Space.

Hover below any existing item and select Add content.

Add and organize content such as text, images, files, notes, or summaries to keep related information in one place.

From the toolbar, select the type of content you want to insert:

• Text: Add headings, body copy, or supporting context
• Files: share documents, spreadsheets, or other attachments for recipients to download
• Notes: Include internal annotations or additional guidance for recipients
• Podcast: Embed an audio file or podcast episode
• Image: Upload a photo, diagram, or visual to support your content
• Summary: Generate an AI-written overview of your content
• Logo: Upload your brand logo to personalize the space

Follow the prompts to complete the insertion. The new item appears directly below the one you selected.

Note

A logo can be added only at the top of the Overview page.

Optionally, drag the added item to a new position or select it to edit and refine further.

Customize the theme and link preview

Control how your PDF Space looks and how it appears when shared as a link.

Select Customize from the left panel.

To change the theme, choose a color scheme or background that reflects your brand or content.

Apply a color theme to personalize your PDF Space.

To replace the link preview, select Replace image and upload your preferred image. Reposition, zoom, or rotate the image as needed, then select Save.

Close the Customize panel.

Your PDF Space now delivers a designed, narrative‑led experience where recipients can quickly understand, listen to, and engage with what matters most.

Ask questions about the PDF content and receive responses with source citations. AI Assistant highlights where it found the answer in the document and suggests follow-up questions.

Ask questions across multiple PDFs

A PDF Space lets you add PDFs, links, or text and ask questions across all content in one place. To work with multiple documents, select Add files to create a PDF Space. Learn about how to create PDF Spaces.

Ask questions about a PDF

Open a PDF and select AI Assistant.
Select a suggested question or type your question in the message field.
Select Submit.

Review or reuse responses

Select a source number to jump to the relevant section of the document.
Select Copy to copy an answer.
Select Options, then select Copy full summary to copy the entire summary.

Tip

You can like, dislike, or report inappropriate content, and provide feedback to help improve AI Assistant. Learn more about how to react to AI responses in Acrobat.

Feature updates

• Featured Templates in Express templates section lets enterprise admins add organization-specific template, visible only to Acrobat Express Enterprise users.
• Translate PDFs in Reader prompts you to translate a document when your app language differs from the document language, saving the file to Adobe Cloud and opening it in Adobe Express for editing.
• AI Assistant surfaces contextual suggestions for editing and converting PDFs directly in the app, with prefilled prompts based on your document content.
• PDF Spaces now includes a guided setup experience that walks you through choosing files and organizing related documents, with smart suggestions when working across multiple files.
• PDF Spaces lets you apply themes, add thumbnails, and upload custom images to make spaces easier to identify for collaborators.
• PDF Spaces consolidates notes, presentations, and podcast creation into a single unified interface, with all generated content saved in one location.
• A mini Podcast player in Acrobat desktop keeps podcast audio playing as you switch between tabs, with playback and volume controls available throughout.
• Trial recap gives users who complete the 7-day Acrobat trial a summary of their activity, tools used, and a persona classification based on usage.
• Conversational onboarding guides users upgrading from Reader through a personalisation flow, tailoring AI prompts and tool suggestions to their document types and preferences.
• MathML accessibility support for formulas and mathematical structures in tagged PDFs. Users who rely on screen-readers can now engage with mathematical content in PDFs.

System requirements update

Support for the following operating systems has been discontinued for Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader:

• Windows 7
• Windows 8 and 8.1
• macOS 12.x

Give a finished look to your documents by creating a polished, AI‑designed cover page directly inside Acrobat using the Generate cover page tool. For details on access, availability, and requirements for the feature, refer to About cover pages in Adobe Acrobat.

Note

Adobe Acrobat generates cover page designs based on your document’s content, branding colors, and dimensions to ensure a cohesive look across your file.

Create a cover page

Go to Acrobat on desktop and open the PDF.

Select Edit from the global bar.

Select Generate cover page from the left panel.

Browse the generated designs, choose your preferred option, and select Add cover.

Preview multiple cover designs before adding one, choose a layout that best fits your document type, then refine text or styling after insertion.

Update the text on the cover page, if needed.

Optionally, select Do more with Adobe Express to open your document in Adobe Express for advanced editing, such as:

• Changing colors
• Resizing pages
• Adding icons or visual elements

Export your document when finished.

Your updated file is available in both Acrobat and Adobe Express after customization.

The Generate podcast feature turns long, text-heavy documents into easy-to-listen audio, reducing screen time and making information easier to absorb. It produces conversational summaries tailored to your needs, whether you want quick highlights or a deeper dive into the insights. When used in a PDF Space, the podcast updates automatically as you add or remove files, ensuring the audio always reflects the latest content. You can listen to strategy papers, research files, or detailed reports at any time while multitasking.

Sign in to use the podcast feature. It supports documents from 500 characters to 600 pages and is available on Acrobat web, desktop, and mobile (iOS and Android) in supported languages and regions.

Individual, Teams, and Enterprise subscribers with Acrobat Studio, AI Assistant, or plans that include Acrobat AI features will have access to the Generate podcast feature. We reserve the right to introduce generative credit consumption for the Generate podcast feature in the future and may update usage limits at any time.
