Introducing Adobe in Gemini

At Adobe, we build pro-grade tools people trust to create their best work and be more productive. Increasingly, that work is starting inside AI chatbot platforms, where people brainstorm ideas, solve problems and get things done. We want Adobe to be there too, making it easy for you to call on our tools to create high-quality content and take your work further, right from the conversation.

We’ve already brought Adobe to ChatGPT, Claude, Slack, and Copilot, and today we’re extending that work in two exciting ways. First, we’re bringing Adobe to Gemini. Second, we’re introducing Acrobat tools to our Adobe for Claude plugin for the first time, bringing our creative and productivity tools together, while also adding interactive editing capabilities that give you hands-on control to edit PDFs and customize Adobe Express designs right inside Claude.

Google Gemini has quickly become one of the world’s most widely used AI assistant platforms, helping more than one billion people each month find answers, explore ideas and tackle everyday tasks. Here are a few ways you can use Adobe in Gemini:

• Create consistent, polished product photos: Upload your product photos and describe the look you’re after. Adobe can help optimize lighting and color, crop images consistently and prepare a polished collection that’s ready for your storefront, website or marketing materials.
• Turn one design into content for your social channels: Ask Adobe to create social-ready versions while preserving your branding and messaging, making it easier to adapt and publish content wherever your audience spends time.
• Customize professionally designed templates for your marketing needs: Describe your campaign, target audience and the style you’re looking for, and Adobe will surface Express designs that best match your needs. From there, you can ask Adobe to personalize the text, imagery and colors to quickly create polished marketing materials.

Today’s launch is the first step in our journey with Google to make our tools available in Gemini. As we’ve done across other AI platforms, we’ll continue to enhance the experience with more tools for creativity and productivity.

More ways to create, edit and refine your work in Claude

Earlier this year, we brought our pro-grade creative tools into Claude. Since launch, we’ve been delighted by feedback from creators about how the experience keeps their work moving — from a photographer refining light, color and consistency across an entire photo series to a creative director who significantly cut the time required to develop an eco-fashion campaign.

Now, the Adobe for Claude plugin is becoming a lot more powerful. We’re adding Acrobat tools to our plugin for the first time, bringing them together with our existing creative tools in one unified Adobe plugin. You can now call on more than 80 pro-grade tools across Acrobat, Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, Adobe Stock and more — all from the same Claude conversation. We’re also introducing new interactive editing capabilities that greatly expand how you can work with our tools in Claude. You can still describe the outcome you want and let the Adobe plugin orchestrate the work, but now you can also step directly into your content to edit PDFs and customize Express designs yourself.

Here are some of the new ways you can work with Adobe in Claude:

• Work with Acrobat tools in Claude: The Adobe plugin now includes popular Acrobat tools for working with PDFs. Organize PDFs by deleting, combining or splitting pages; redact sensitive information; and convert or export PDFs to other file formats.
• Edit and analyze PDFs directly: When you want more hands-on control, open your PDF in the new interactive editor to reorder pages, edit text or mark up the document with comments and highlights. You can also invoke the new Document Review skill and ask Claude to analyze your document and add recommendations and notations directly in the editor.
• Refine designs with Express: Building on the conversational editing already available in Claude, you can now go further with a layer-based interactive editor for Express designs, giving you hands-on control over individual elements of the design. Select and customize images, copy, colors and fonts independently, so you can refine exactly what you want without needing to regenerate the entire design — all within your Claude workflow.

These additions build on Adobe’s expansive set of creative tools already available in Claude for refining images individually or in batches, creating vectors and layouts, editing and assembling videos, and adapting content for different channels. Now, those tools can work alongside Acrobat tools to carry your project all the way through in Claude.

Get started with Adobe today in Gemini and Claude

Adobe in Gemini is rolling out globally beginning today and is available across all Gemini plans. To get started, navigate to Personal Intelligence, select Adobe under connected apps, and sign in with your Adobe account or create one for free if you don’t already have one.

Adobe for Claude is also rolling out globally starting today across Claude and Claude Code on desktop, mobile and web. You can get started as a guest or sign in with your Adobe account to unlock the full plugin experience, including higher usage limits, additional tools and continuity across sessions. If you already have the previous Adobe connector installed, it will automatically update to the new Adobe plugin.

Customize your PDF Space Overview to control what recipients see when they open it. Arrange content, edit AI-generated text and audio summaries, add items, and personalize the theme and link preview.

Arrange items

Control the order and layout of items in your Overview.

Open the PDF Space to view the Overview page.
To reorder an item, hover over it until the hand cursor appears, then drag it into place.
To rename a block, select its title and edit it.
To remove an item, hover over it and select Delete > Remove.

Note

Multi-column layouts are available on large screens only. On mobile, the Overview shows a single column.

Edit AI-generated text summary

Hover over the AI-generated summary and select Edit .
Edit the text to adjust the wording, tone, or emphasis.
Select Done to update the summary.

Edit AI-generated audio summary

Select Edit in the Audio summary to update what recipients hear.
Edit the transcript to revise wording, add context, or remove items.
Select Update to apply your changes and refresh the audio summary.

Add and manage items

Create a more engaging and branded experience by adding charts, text items, and notes to your PDF Space.

Hover below any existing item in Overview and select Add content.
From the toolbar, select the type of content you want to add:

• Text: Add headings, body copy, or supporting context.
• Image: Upload a photo, diagram, or visual to support your content.
• Summary: Generate an audio or AI-written overview of your content.
• Creations: Create a note, presentation, podcast, poster, or visual summary.
• Files: Share documents, spreadsheets, or other attachments for recipients to download.
• Logo: Upload your brand logo to personalize the space.

Optionally, drag the added item to a new position or select it to edit and refine further.

Creating dashboards, reports, and uploading your own video and audio, are available on the web. On desktop, you can only view this content.

Create content from your PDF Space

Use Create to create new content from the files in your PDF Space. Choose from:

• Note: A summary or set of notes you draft yourself or generate from your documents.
• Presentation: A generated slide deck that summarizes key content from your files.
• Podcast: A generated audio discussion based on your documents.
• Poster: A generated single-page visual that highlights key points from your files.
• Visual Summary: A generated visual overview that presents your content at a glance.

Customize theme and link preview

Select Customize from the left panel.
Choose a color theme or background.
To change the link preview, select Replace image, upload an image, and select Save.
Close the Customize panel.

Note

You create and customize your Overview on the web and on desktop. Creating dashboards and reports, and uploading your own video and audio, are only available on the web.

Learn how to enhance the look of your PDFs by applying Adobe Express design tools in Acrobat.

In Adobe Acrobat, you can stylize a PDF using Adobe Express design tools and with Adobe Express templates. With Adobe Express design tools, you can refresh the look of your PDF by adding shapes and icons, applying color themes, and updating backgrounds. If you are signed in with an Individual or Teams plan in Acrobat, and your document is in English, has fewer than 15 pages, and isn’t scanned or password-protected, you can also stylize a PDF using Adobe Express templates.

Follow the steps below to stylize your PDF using Adobe Express design tools:

Open the PDF and select Edit from the global bar.

Select Stylize this PDF under DESIGN WITH ADOBE EXPRESS.

Your PDF opens in Adobe Express in a new browser tab.

Use the following shortcuts from the right pop-up menu to enhance the PDF:

• Add shapes and icons: Insert geometric shapes or pre-designed icons to enhance your layout.
• Resize page: Adjust the dimensions of your PDF pages to fit different formats or requirements.
• Apply color theme: Choose from pre-set color palettes to give your PDF a cohesive look.
• Add Adobe Stock images: Browse and insert high-quality stock photos to illustrate your content.
• Change background color: Modify the background color of your PDF pages for better visual appeal.
• Get font recommendations: Receive suggestions for fonts that complement your existing text styles.

Note

Your changes are saved automatically to the Adobe Express file, and your original PDF in Acrobat remains unchanged.

• Focus your study time: You can already generate flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, podcasts, video summaries and more directly from your course materials and notes, so you spend less time organizing and more time actually learning. Now, flashcards and quizzes track your answers and adapt to what you still need to practice. You can even edit to make them your own.
• Create properly formatted citations easily: Every answer already links back to your source material, so you always know where the information came from. Starting later this month, you can also generate properly formatted citations in APA, MLA, Chicago and more just by entering a title, URL, DOI or ISBN.
• Study smarter with summary sheets: Upload your documents to instantly generate a customizable, editable half-sheet, one-page or two-page overview of the must-know facts, perfect for prepping before an exam or for exam-prep notes sheet.
• Convert handwritten notes into text: You asked for it: now you can upload handwritten notes directly into Student Spaces, where they're converted into digital, searchable text.
• Get resume feedback and interview help: The AI Assistant can help review and provide feedback on your resume, along with helping you to prep for interviews, so you're ready when internship and job opportunities come around.
• Study more flexibly: Video summaries are now editable too, so you can focus on the question or topic, theme and narration, so it’ truly customized to how you study. Plus, Student Spaces is now available directly in the Acrobat app on Android, so you can study wherever you are.

With new interactive reports and summary slides, Acrobat can take dense documents and turn them into something visual and easy to absorb, like charts or key takeaways. Built-in navigation lets you scan the headlines or dig into the detail.

Say you run a small business and get your quarterly financials back. Instead of reading line by line, you can turn the text-heavy report into graphs and charts that visualize your revenue trends and cost drivers, so you can literally see the impact. A marketer pulling together competitor research or customer feedback can do the same thing: drop in the source material, and instead of scanning rows of numbers, they can see the trend line rise and fall at a glance. HR teams reviewing headcount data can turn spreadsheets full of numbers into an infographic that clearly shows which teams are understaffed and need more support.

• Open a direct message with Slackbot, select the Apps button, and choose Manage Apps.
• Select the + icon next to Adobe, then either continue as a guest or sign in with your Adobe account when prompted.

Learn how to replace, rewrite, reformat, restructure, and redact text in your PDF using natural language with the AI Assistant in Adobe Acrobat.

Before you begin

Editing text with chat is available to paid Acrobat users on desktop and web, with the app language set to English. Check the supported tools and actions to confirm what is available on your plan.

When working with PDFs in Acrobat, the AI Assistant understands your document structure and content, so you can describe how you want to change your text in plain language, and it performs the action for you. Instead of finding the text and editing it manually, you describe the change, and the AI Assistant identifies the matching text by meaning, in single or multiple instances, shows you a preview, and confirms with you before the update.

You can ask the AI Assistant to perform the following actions:

• Rewrite text: Rephrase a passage for tone, length, or clarity, one section at a time.
• Replace text: Swap text for wording across multiple instances you provide, by exact match or by meaning.
• Reformat text: Change how text looks, such as font style, size, and color, or highlight it.
• Restructure text: Change how text is organized, such as turning a paragraph into a bulleted list, one section at a time.
• Redact text: Permanently remove or mask sensitive information, such as names,Social Security numbers, or account numbers. Works on a single occurrence or across multiple instances.

Open the PDF in Acrobat.

Select AI Assistant in the top bar to open the chat panel.

In the chat field, describe the change in natural language. For example:

• To replace: Replace all instances of draft with final or change all dates to DD-MM-YYYY.
• To rewrite: Make the executive summary more concise or rewrite the introduction in a more formal tone.
• To redact: Remove all instances that mention Social Security numbers in this document.
• To restructure: Convert the recommendations into bullet points or combine the list into a single paragraph.
• To reformat: Make all headings in this document blue.

Tip

You can ask the AI Assistant to make more than one text change in a single request. For example, ask it to replace product names with Aurora and company names with Brightfield simultaneously. If a change does not run as expected, add more detail to your prompt, such as section names, or page numbers.

Select Submit.

Review the highlighted text and the count of matches that AI Assistant found in the chat panel.

When your request matches more than one occurrence, AI Assistant highlights every match and takes you through them one at a time. You can preview each replacement before you confirm it, and changes are applied one instance at a time.

Select Replace or Accept based on your request to apply the change or select Skip to move to the next instance.

Note

To undo the action performed by the AI Assistant, select Undo from the top bar. If a change does not run as expected, add more detail to your prompt, such as specific wording, section names, or page numbers. If a tool does not support chat editing, the AI Assistant provides step-by-step guidance instead. If the problem persists, check common issues and their fixes.

The Adobe plugin in ChatGPT brings together tools from our previously released Adobe apps for ChatGPT, along with additional tools and capabilities across Adobe Express, Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere, Acrobat, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Stock and more. One unified Adobe plugin now takes you from idea to finished work in a single connected experience in ChatGPT.

• Create high-quality creative for your campaign: Upload your campaign photos and describe the look you want. The Adobe plugin applies a consistent style across the entire set, saves the finished assets to Creative Cloud and transforms your strongest image into a product or packaging mockup.

• Create eye-catching video for every social platform: Turn a long-form video into an eye-catching highlight reel, then adapt it for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and other social platforms.
