Circleback Release Notes

Today we're launching a new lineup of Circleback plans: Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise.

Circleback now starts free. Free includes AI notes and action items for unlimited online and in-person meetings, with limited history. It isn't a trial. You can also try any plan for free when you sign up.

Pro adds full meeting history and integrations with the rest of your tools. Business adds admin and member roles, default and enforceable workspace settings, custom data retention, and a usage dashboard. Enterprise adds security, billing, and support for large organizations.

If you have meetings in another app, you can now bring them into Circleback. Your history comes with you.

Go to Settings 1 Import and connect the app you're switching from. You'll see the meetings before they're imported. Circleback brings over notes, transcripts, attendees, and recordings (if available). Imported meetings work like any other meeting in Circleback: you can search them, share them, and ask questions about them.

If your team is moving together, each person can import their own meetings. They'll stay shared with the same people as before.

Today we're releasing the Circleback API. Everything Circleback captures from your meetings is now one request away: notes, action items, transcripts, recordings, people, companies, and more.

Give your own AI agents context from your team's conversations: what was discussed with a customer, which action items are still open, what was decided on this morning's call. Or build internal tools, scripts, and dashboards on top of your meeting data.

We've released several updates to our Slack integration: you can now ask about anything in a thread, preview shared meetings, and open Circleback from Slack's agent panel.

Ask about a thread

When you ask a question in a thread, Circleback now reads the earlier messages, including images. Answers include sources, so you can dig deeper.

Preview shared meetings

When you share a Circleback link in Slack, your team sees a preview of the meeting and gets the context at a glance. If someone in the channel doesn't have access, Circleback prompts you to share the meeting with them.

Open Circleback from the agent panel

You can now open Circleback from Slack's agent panel to ask questions and take action in your connected apps without leaving Slack.

Update your Slack connection from Settings → Connected accounts, then mention @Circleback to get started.

Every person and company now has a summary, a high-level view of what's going on with them.

Summaries draw on every meeting and email you have access to, not just your own. If a teammate met with a customer last week, that context shows up too. Open a person or company page and you'll see who they are, what's been discussed, and where things stand, so you can get up to speed before a call or pick up an account without asking around.

Summaries stay current automatically as new conversations happen.

You can now draft and send emails from Circleback. Ask Circleback to write an email, and it will draft one for you, pulling in relevant context from your meetings, past email threads, and even calendar events and availability. It looks up the right recipients and replies to an existing thread where it makes sense. The draft opens in an editor where you can review and make changes. When you're ready, hit send.

When viewing an email thread in Circleback, such as one opened from recent conversations, you can also hit reply to draft a response yourself and send it right in the thread.

If you haven't connected your email yet, you can do so from Settings Connected accounts.

You can now connect Circleback to the apps you already use: Notion, Linear, Asana, Attio, HubSpot, PostHog, Ashby, Intercom, and more. Circleback can search these apps and make changes in them, using context from your meetings.

Ask about your meetings and your apps together:

• What did Initech ask for last week, and is any of it tracked in Linear?
• Check PostHog to see who from this week's demos hasn't signed up yet.
• Which open Asana tasks came up in today's standup?

Or tell Circleback what to do:

• Create Linear issues for the feature requests from this call and add them to the current cycle.
• Update the HubSpot deal with the deal size and follow-up date we agreed on.
• Move this candidate to the second round interview on Ashby.

If you use something that isn't on the list, add any MCP server as a custom connector and your internal tools work the same way.

Available today everywhere you ask Circleback–web, desktop, mobile, and Slack. Get started by opening the Ask page and selecting the connectors icon in the assistant input.

We've made several updates to sharing that improve the whole experience: you can now share meetings with anyone, choose how much access people get, and set defaults for how meetings are shared with invitees.

Share with anyone

You can now share meetings with anyone by entering their email. They don't need to be in your workspace or invited to the meeting. They'll get an email with the notes and a link to open the meeting in Circleback.

Choose access levels

When sharing a meeting, whether with specific people or via a link, pick one of three access levels:

• Limited viewer: view meeting notes and action items
• Viewer: view meeting notes, action items, transcript, and recording (if available)
• Editor: view and edit meeting notes, action items, transcript, and recording

Share the full picture with a teammate, or just the notes with a client.

Set sharing defaults

New settings let you choose defaults for how meetings are shared with invitees, including different access for invitees in your workspace and those outside it. Go to Settings → Sharing to set your own defaults. Workspace admins can set defaults for everyone or enforce them across the workspace from Settings → General → Sharing.
