Presentations update

We’ve overhauled the presentation experience to give you more flexibility, a cleaner workspace, and better ways to collaborate. You now have one deck, with multiple presentation options. Build your presentation once and choose how it plays depending on your audience:

• Presentation Mode: Ideal for formal, structured delivery. It crops closely to your slide content and hides the UI for a distraction-free view.
• Path Mode: Built for interactive collaboration. It keeps the surrounding canvas visible and lets you choose which tools your audience can use.

What else is new?

• Multi-presentation Support: You can now create multiple distinct presentations within a single document.
• Clutter-free UI: We moved settings like aspect ratio and transitions into a clean three-dot menu, freeing up your builder panel.
• 1-click slide creation: Easily turn existing Frames or board objects into slides using new on-canvas UI hints.

Discovery keywords and phrases update

Whether you are an admin managing thousands of files or a user hunting for a specific document, your search experience just got a lot more precise. By simply using double quotes (" "), you can now force the engine to look for an exact sequence of words. Learn more.

• Standard search: Sally sells seashells finds any document containing "Sally," "sells," or "seashells" in any order.
• Phrase search: "Sally sells seashells" finds only the documents where those words appear together, in that exact order.

Streamline your workspace with admin bulk archive option

Managing large-scale organization changes just got easier. Quickly clean up duplicate team names and eliminate manual overhead with this powerful efficiency update designed for large enterprises. Learn more.

Streamline your provisioning: Expanded default fields for Lucid’s Okta SCIM app

Merge duplicate teams

Admins can now merge overlapping teams directly from the Teams page, automatically combining all members and content into a single destination team. Cloud agent (beta)

Cloud Accelerator users can now describe what they need in plain language—like "Create a network segmentation diagram for my upcoming SOC 2 audit"—and get back a purpose-built diagram, grounded in real, imported cloud infrastructure data. Built directly into Lucid AI, it's now available in open beta for AWS, with Azure and GCP planned. Learn more.

Version compare

Cloud Accelerator now shows you exactly what changed in your infrastructure between saves—added, removed, and edited resources—overlaid directly on the diagram with no manual diffing required. Connect your preferred AI tools to Lucid via a dedicated server to securely search and reference verified institutional knowledge pulled strictly from Process Accelerator repositories. Learn more.

Process Capture

Process Capture is a screen recording tool built into Lucid AI. Users document their processes in real time by recording their browser or desktop screen, with optional mic narration. Lucid takes periodic screenshots and allows users to manually redact or remove images before sending the material through the Process Agent within the Lucid AI interface. In seconds, you get an editable diagram along with the associated screenshots, reducing the time it takes to document processes for onboarding, business optimization, and AI transformation. Import shared-with-me documents

When importing documents into a repository, users can now see documents that have been shared with them in addition to documents they own. They can request ownership of the document and can then move it into the repository. Learn more.

Enterprise Shield adds an enhanced layer of fortified security and control to an account on Lucid’s already highly secure platform. This add-on enables admins on your account to streamline processes for safeguarding sensitive data and elevate compliance controls with robust content lifecycle management capabilities.

Advanced Lucid AI controls

Customize which Lucid AI capabilities are available to your organization. Starting with Process Capture, admins can now disable or allow users to capture screen recordings to automatically generate process diagrams using Lucid AI. Custom infotypes and content inspection enhancements

Proactively monitor your account documents by continuously scanning for unique, proprietary phrases or project names. Admins can now filter results down to the exact infotype level and easily manage categories through a streamlined, interactive policy table. Learn more.

Admin panel audit logs and IP tracking

Streamline your investigations by viewing and filtering up to 10,000 account events directly within the admin panel UI. Access granular event details, easily copy event JSON, and track actor IP addresses for greater visibility into account activity. Learn more.

Updates to external document access controls

Admins can now align external document access with their organization's security policies by choosing whether Lucid is exempt from external sharing blocks. This gives you more control over the existing feature that blocks internal users from accessing documents owned outside your organization. Learn more.

airfocus, now part of Lucid, is a product management platform designed to unite teams to build great products with confidence. It serves as a single source of truth for product work, offering strategic roadmapping and advanced prioritization tools. The platform centralizes customer feedback for actionable insights, links OKRs to execution, and enables capacity planning. Its modular design supports customizable workflows, empowering product teams to build more effectively, no matter their approach.

Rich text fields

You can now add rich text (long text) fields to any workspace, with the same formatting options as the description field. They sync bidirectionally with Jira, so you can map multiple rich text fields—like "Acceptance Criteria"—instead of being limited to a single description mapping.

Read Check-ins with the airfocus agent and MCP server

The airfocus agent and MCP server can now read Check-ins, including their progress, confidence, and comments. Product leaders can ask the agent—or their AI tool of choice—to analyze the status of key initiatives and objectives and get data-backed answers. Currently available for Check-ins via the Health Check-ins app and Objective items; Key Result check-ins are coming soon. Learn more about airfocus MCP.

Link items with the MCP server

A new "Link Items" tool lets you create parent/child relationships between airfocus items directly from your AI tool of choice via the MCP server, connecting high-level initiatives down to the epics and tasks that deliver them. Learn more about airfocus MCP.

Restrict integration management to admins (Enterprise)

Enterprise teams can now limit integration management to admins only. When enabled (Team Settings → Features), only admins can add or edit integration configurations. Users with full permissions who are editors can still manage apps and sync existing integrations that are already set up.

Copy your syntax and paste it into your Lucid document. The result will be native, editable shapes that you can format and move around freely!

How can I edit my new diagram?

After pasting in your Mermaid syntax, your shapes and diagram will be fully editable!

• Add, move, and edit shapes and lines
• Add and edit colors
• Add and edit text

*Note that any shapes that are not yet supported will appear as static SVGs.

Why did we build this?

Writing diagram syntax in Mermaid is fast, but communicating and iterating with cross-functional stakeholders is always easier visually. This feature helps you bridge the gap between code and visual collaboration!

• Edit visually: Skip the tedious syntax trial-and-error. Generate your base diagram from Mermaid syntax, then use Lucid’s canvas to tweak and format as you’d like.
• Bridge the technical gap: Easily bring your technical documentation into meetings for stakeholders. Your engineering team can continue working quickly in text, while you communicate a clear, beautiful visual that stakeholders can understand and provide feedback on.

Can I create editable shapes from the diagram as code menu?

Can I create editable shapes from the diagram as code menu?

At this time, we do not support creating native Lucid shapes and diagrams from the diagram as code menu in Lucidchart. Instead, the diagram is displayed as an image and must be edited from the syntax menu.

However, we recommend copying your syntax from this menu and pasting it directly onto the canvas as a workaround!

Repository description

Users can now add a description for every repository to help teams quickly understand the purpose of and content housed within each.

Repository list view

Users now have the option to toggle from grid view to list view on the repository homepage. Within the list view, users can see the repository name, description, owners, number of documents, and date of last update. This view provides a quick overview of repository content and is especially helpful for users managing multiple repositories.

CSV export

Users can now export repository assets information into a CSV. The export includes information such as repository name, owner, location, document counts, last modified date, approval, version number, change summary, and URL.

Direct publish

The final reviewer in the approval flow can now directly publish the document after approving it, streamlining the overall approval workflow.

Force publish

Repository owners and Process Accelerator managers will be able to force publish a document to a repository in order to prevent stalled approvals if an approver is on leave.

Approval flow messages

Approval flow messages such as the change summary, message to approvers, and approve/deny message are surfaced when a user goes to make edits, streamlining the feedback loop. The approval requests table also now has a dynamic message column that reflects the latest message by status. This visibility keeps all approval flow context in one place, allowing for faster and clearer feedback loops.

airfocus agent

Enterprise customers with airfocus AI enabled can now access the airfocus agent — a conversational and agentic AI built right into the product. Ask it to analyze feedback, check OKR alignment across teams, summarize initiatives, or search and gather information across any set of items. This is all possible with natural language - making easier than ever for product managers to make better decisions, faster.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) server

Enable airfocus to function as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, allowing external AI agents and copilots to securely access and act on structured airfocus data (e.g. roadmap items, priorities, feedback, objectives). This unlocks advanced AI-driven workflows, integrations, and automation by exposing airfocus workspaces through a standardized protocol. To learn more, visit our help center article.

This is a new lightweight document view that gives you a full-page text editor right inside your workspaces and items. Capture meeting notes, draft strategy, write specs, or keep any free-form context exactly where your roadmap, priorities, and feedback already live — no more switching to a separate tool and losing the thread. Insights Agent

This is a built-in agent that works automatically inside your Insights app. As new feedback arrives, the agent reads each item, extracts the discrete insights inside it, and semantically matches them to your existing opportunities — attaching the evidence where it belongs. When no suitable opportunity exists, it creates a new one, so nothing valuable slips through the cracks.

The result is a continuously organized feedback repository that stays current without manual triage, keeping your opportunities grounded in real customer signal. To learn more, visit our help center article.

We’ve heard to your feedback and today we’re releasing one of the most requested features for the Cloud Accelerator, Version Compare! You can now see exactly what changed in your cloud environment since the last saved state.

What's new

After a sync completes, Version Compare overlays your current cloud model against its previous state and highlights every resource that was added, removed, or edited. You get the full picture without any manual cross-referencing.

How to use it

Open your cloud document and select Compare with Previous Version from the data management panel. The canvas switches into comparison mode, where color-coded highlighting shows what changed at a glance: resources added since the last save, resources removed, and resources still present but with configuration or metadata changes.

Click any highlighted resource to open the contextual panel on the right. If fields changed, it shows a side-by-side breakdown of what they were and what they are now.

Why it matters

For compliance and audit teams, this replaces a manual, error-prone process with a visual record you can share directly from the diagram. Infrastructure that changed between audit periods shows up automatically and you can verify relevant infrastructure hasn’t fallen out of compliance.

For cloud architects and DevOps leads, drift surfaces the moment you sync. A modified security group, a changed S3 bucket config: you see it without digging through the console.

For instance, imagine you’re reviewing a complex pull request and trying to remember how the legacy authentication service actually talks to the new API. Instead of hunting through a cluttered workspace to find the right flowchart, you can simply ask:

"Find the 'System Architecture 2026' document in Lucid and summarize the data flow between the auth service and the database."

The LLM will scan your Lucid documents and provide a concise summary of the logic. If you realize the architecture needs to change based on your new code, you can even prompt:

"Update the 'System Architecture' document based on this code.”

Just like that, your documentation stays as agile as your code.This integration transforms your diagrams from static assets into a foundational, interactive layer of your AI-driven development workflow.
