Updates To Klaviyo, Infusionsoft, MailerLite, Platformly + Some Recent Bug Fixes

ConvertBox improves opt-in form reliability with broader MailerLite and Klaviyo support, Keap OAuth2 connections, and fixes for Platformly, Teaser display, and WordPress page builder conflicts.

Recently development has been working on a number of ConvertBox elements and integrations to ensure that your opt-in forms can continue working to help you build your email list. đŸ’Ș

See the full list of our recent updates below!

    Updates

ConvertBox now supports all versions of MailerLite: Previously we supported MailerLite Classic, and not their newer version. Our integration has been updated to support their most recent API version and now all existing versions of MailerLite will work.

Klaviyo Updated: Klaviyo updated their API version in June, and changes have been made to ensure that their newest version is supported.

InfusionSoft (Keap) Oauth2 now supported: This update ensures that new connections can be authenticated via API keys, and that existing connections continue to integrate with Keap.

    Bug Fixes

Bug Fix – Platformly integration not working: Users reported that Platformly projects were not loading within ConvertBox and that leads were not being added to Platformly, but our development team have been able to resolve this to ensure that contacts are created with the correct segments/tags.

Bug Fix – Teaser Feature: When the Teaser feature was enabled on a ConvertBox, the ConvertBox would not show up on the page. Development has resolved this to ensure that the teaser feature works again.

Bug Fix – Conflict with WP page builders: There was a conflict with some page editing functionality with a number of WordPress page builders that offered front-end page editing due to a mutual library that was used where the versioning was different. This included BuddyPress, Oxygen Builder, Beaver Builder, and likely others. This has been resolved to prevent those conflicts moving forward.

If you have any questions about getting started or implementing ConvertBox on your site, check out our help center here.

Our support and development teams are always working to identify and resolve issues with ConvertBox, and you can reach out to our support team with any questions or concerns through our support form here.

    All the best,

    The ConvertBox Team

Over 110,000 Websites Affected By Hijacked Polyfill Supply Chain Attack

ConvertBox removes its dependency on Polyfill.io and switches to a safe Fastly-hosted version, improving browser support security for older browsers without requiring website changes.

Last week news around polyfill.io was circulating in that it was acquired by a Chinese company and they modified a Javascript library to redirect users to malicious and scam websites. Google were alerting Google Ads users about this.

More than 110,000 websites were affected, see this article.

Whilst we didn’t receive any direct reports of affected users experiencing these reported issues, Polyfill is a service that ConvertBox uses to help older browsers support modern browser functionality, specifically users on iOS9 or IE11 and earlier. This makes up less than 0.5% of internet traffic, thankfully.

Last week shortly after this became known, we removed our dependency on Polyfill.io. A number of popular CDNs such as Cloudflare have offered alternative endpoints for the Polyfill Library and we switched to a non-comprised version of the library hosted by Fastly.com.

    Since last week, we’ve had a number of FAQs both in our community and support and to help address them below;

    1. What do I need to do?

There are no code changes or updates to your website that you need to do yourself. Polyfill.io is no longer called by ConvertBox. New visitors to your site will be automatically using the newer code.

    2. My ConvertBoxes are not loading.

Your browser may be caching the old ConvertBox script if you’ve previously visited, which will be making calls to the old polyfill.io domain and so you may need to clear your browser cache to start seeing your ConvertBoxes again.

If you’re wanting to ‘test’ things, we always recommend using a private browser window for testing.

Still can’t see your ConvertBoxes loading? Be sure to run through our checklist.

    3. Why can I still see Polyfill being loaded on my site?

Polyfill is still called by ConvertBox, but we now use a safe version hosted by Fastly.com. You will see the script is loaded from the domain; polyfill-fastly.io which is their CDN.

    HubSpot Integration Update

ConvertBox adds support for HubSpot’s new authentication mechanism, prompting users to re-authenticate their accounts through Settings. The update keeps existing rules and forms intact while moving integrations to HubSpot’s new OAuth flow.

    Hi everyone,

Today we’ve added support for HubSpot’s new authentication mechanism.

If you’re using HubSpot, you will need to re-authenticate your account as soon as possible by heading to Settings, clicking Integrations, choosing HubSpot from the list, and clicking ‘Edit’ on your existing integration. From here, you can click the button to re-connect your account. This will use their new OAuth mechanism, and following these steps will leave all your existing rules and forms in place without needing further changes.

They are deprecating the old mechanism, so it is strongly recommended that all HubSpot users take these simple steps!

Thanks everyone! We’ll share more news soon!

    Introducing New Features!

ConvertBox adds new teaser box functionality and custom image buttons, bringing fresh ways to capture attention and guide users through boxes. The update also includes several minor fixes, improvements and speed increases now live in accounts.

Today we’re pleased to announce the availability of new ConvertBox functionality, live in your accounts right now!

    Teaser functionality

A great new feature of ConvertBox is to add a ‘teaser’ box in front of your box. You can use this to entice users to interact with your ConvertBox and get their attention. This is available on all ConvertBox types except embedded ones, and you can enable a number of visual customisation options to make this stand out. When you open up the editor, you’ll see the ‘Teaser’ toggle in the sidebar to toggle on and get started!

    Custom images for buttons

A really popular request we’ve seen from users is the ability to make a button element your own custom image! This is now available, and you can use all of the powerful button functionality like changing steps, opening another box or taking them to another page entirely. Simply drop in a button element to see the new options.

    And more!

    • Several minor fixes, improvements and speed increases

ALL of the new functionality is available in your ConvertBox accounts right now! Enjoy the new functionality and we look forward to sharing more with you soon!

New Element Sizes, Display Rules + More!

ConvertBox releases a new platform update with flexible button and form sizing, new form shape options, a week-based display frequency rule, and mobile layout improvements for a smoother on-device experience.

It’s a new year and we’ve just rolled out a new platform update with several new features and improvements.

    Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s new

New button and form element sizes

We’ve added new sizing options for our button and form elements allowing you to now choose from S, M, L, XL sizes. This new range of sizes gives you even more flexibility with the smallest (S) size being a perfect fit for a discrete notification and the (XL) size perfect for those larger full page offers.

    New form element shapes

While our button elements have always had the option to set the shape, our forms didn’t
But that changes today! You can now choose from square, rounded, or round form shapes allowing you to easily match the style and layout of all other buttons in your ConvertBox flow.

    New display frequency

We’ve added a new “week” frequency option in the display rules of your ConvertBox. This means you now have the ability to set your ConvertBox to show to each visitor “X” times per Session, Day or Week.

    Improvements for mobile layouts

Our mobile layouts have had a range of tweaks and small changes to ensure they always look great and perform well on mobile devices.

We hope you love all these new improvements.
