Korbyt Anywhere Release Recap - 08.21.2026
Korbyt adds Screen Detective for proactive dead-screen monitoring and automated recovery, plus a new Canva integration for publishing designs straight to Korbyt. The release recap also includes multiple bug fixes across calendars, players, streaming, folders, SSO, audiences, and locations.
Screen Detective: Catch dead screens before your audience does
Screen Detective is a new monitoring feature that continuously analyzes player screenshots to detect frozen or blank screens. When it spots a problem, it can alert your team and attempt automated recovery steps, often before a viewer or employee ever notices something went wrong.
With Screen Detective, you can:
- Get proactive alerts the moment a screen freezes or goes blank
- Let Korbyt attempt automated recovery steps on affected players (optional)
- Review a dashboard of open and resolved issues, screenshot history, and recovery timelines for every monitored player
Requires the Screen Detective subscription add-on and the newer Navbar navigation. Available for KDA, KWP, BrightSign and other devices with screenshot capability.

Canva Integration: Design in Canva, publish straight to Korbyt
Content creators can now build images and videos directly in Canva and publish them straight into their Korbyt tenant using the new Korbyt app inside Canva, no exporting a file and re-uploading it by hand.
With the Canva integration, you can:
- Publish Canva designs to your Korbyt Tenant in a couple of clicks, right from Canva's Share menu
- Skip the export, download, and upload cycle entirely
- Connect your Korbyt account once and reuse it for future designs

Korbyt Booking Release Notes V9.9
Korbyt introduces a redesigned Booking Diary, AI-assisted booking in Teams, Outlook, and the web app, plus new floor plan icon controls and broader Outlook add-in support for Combo Rooms and full-day desk booking banners. It also adds booking rule and attendee management enhancements.
What's New?
New Booking Diary
The New Booking Diary is a redesigned calendar view. It presents all bookable resources across multiple floors, buildings, and locations in a single scrollable screen, with a fixed time header that stays visible as you scroll, faster booking actions that work directly from the diary, and a personalized filter system that saves each user's preferred view between sessions.
Enabling the New Booking Diary
The New Booking Diary is enabled using a feature flag in Global Settings.
- Administration > Settings > Global Settings > Default Settings
- Locate the New Booking Diary
- Set the toggle to ‘Yes’
- Click Save.
Users will see the New Booking Diary in their next session.
Extended Diary View with Business Hours Scrolling
The Booking Diary now gives users full 24-hour visibility without forcing a trade-off between time coverage and grid clarity.
When Business Hours is enabled, the diary continues to open at your configured working hours, the view users already know. Users can now scroll beyond the business hours window to view the full 24-hour day, without changing a single setting or losing any detail in the grid.
For most people, nothing changes. The diary opens exactly as it always has. The difference is that the full day is now just a scroll away when you need it.
For users who want the entire 24-hour span in a single frame without scrolling, unchecking Business Hours delivers that, the diary compresses the slot size to fit all 24 hours in one view.
Unified Multi-Location View
The Diary displays all resources across every selected location in one continuous view. The column header row shows the property name, local time zone, and time scale together, so administrators working across multiple offices always know which building they are looking at and in which time zone. The time header stays locked in place as users scroll down through long resource lists, making the diary practical for large estates with dozens of floors and hundreds of spaces.
Filtering and Saved Favorites
A new Filters panel lets users choose which locations, floors, resource types, and Resource Groups (when enabled) appear in their diary. Filter selections can be saved as personal favorites and loaded with a single click on future sessions. Favorites are stored per user account, so each person in the organization keeps their own combination independently of their colleagues. Clicking on the ‘Today’ button takes the user back to the current date when navigating.
My Bookings
My Bookings toggle in the top navigation bar filters the diary to show only the bookings the logged-in user has made, across all resources and locations. By default, this includes bookings created both for themselves and on behalf of others; unchecking the Booked for Others option narrows the view to bookings made for the user only. Selecting Home returns the diary to the full organizational view. Users can create new bookings from ‘My Bookings’ as well by clicking on an available slot.
Quick Book from the Diary
Users can create a booking without leaving the diary by clicking any empty time slot in the grid. The Quick Book panel opens immediately at that position, pre-populated with the resource and time. For bookings that require services, attendees, or questionnaires, an Advanced Booking link inside the panel opens the full booking form.
Booking Cards and Visual Indicators
Each booking on the diary grid is displayed as an information card. Cards surface key details at a glance, without the user needing to open the booking:
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |Legend Panel
A collapsible Legend in the bottom-left corner of the diary displays the color key for booking statuses, meeting types, business and non-business hours, setup and breakdown time bands, and dependent room indicators. The panel can be minimized to a thumbnail to maximize screen space when it is not needed.
Copy, Move, Recur, and Cancel from the Diary
An ellipsis menu on every booking card exposes Copy, Move, Recur, Cancel, and Booking Summary actions without navigating away from the diary. Move and Copy open an inline panel where users update the resource and time; Recur creates a series with Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly patterns. Attendees are notified of changes automatically. The diary remains in view throughout all of these actions.
Inline Booking Summary
Clicking any booking card opens a Booking Summary panel alongside the diary. The panel shows the booking title, organizer, status, resource location, date and duration, attendee list, attached services, and collaboration platform link. Users can open the full edit form from the summary without leaving the diary screen.
ConciergeAI
ConciergeAI is your AI-powered booking assistant inside Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and the Korbyt Booking Web App. You can interact with it in two ways:
- **Type a request in natural language **- Describe what you need and ConciergeAI finds and books the right space.
- **Use the UI **- tap cards, buttons, and quick actions on the home screen to browse and book without typing.
Both journeys lead to the same outcome: a confirmed booking in your Korbyt diary, with no form to fill in and no menus to navigate.
Book a Desk
Request a desk using a natural-language prompt such as "Book me a desk tomorrow morning" or "Reserve a desk at [Location] on Friday from 9am to 5pm". ConciergeAI applies location preferences and availability rules to return the best match. Users can also ask for their favourite desk or the same space they used last time.
Book a Room
Specify capacity, features (e.g. display screen), date, and time in a single message. ConciergeAI filters rooms to match the request and confirms the booking in one step. Requests that cannot be fulfilled - for example, a room for 50 people when no such room exists - return a clear no-availability message.
Book Near a Colleague
Type "Book a desk near [name] on [date]" and ConciergeAI locates your colleague's booked space and suggests available desks in the same area or floor. If the colleague has no booking on that date, a helpful message is returned.
Modify and Cancel Bookings
Existing bookings can be moved, rescheduled, or cancelled through natural language. ConciergeAI identifies the correct booking, presents a summary of the proposed change, and applies it on confirmation. The change is reflected immediately in the Korbyt Booking diary.
Policy and Booking Rules Awareness
ConciergeAI enforces your organisation's booking rules - advance booking windows, duration limits, and after-hours restrictions - and surfaces policy violations clearly rather than silently failing. Access controls are respected: users cannot book resources they do not have permission to access.
***What Admins Need to Do: ***ConciergeAI is enabled per user account. To activate, navigate to Admin Settings > ConciergeAI and enable the feature for the relevant users or groups. No additional Microsoft permissions beyond the standard add-in deployment are required.
Floor Plan - Configurable Icon Size
Administrators can now configure the size of resource icons displayed on the Floor Plan, independently for Web and Mobile views. The Icon Size setting is available per floor under Property Setup > Floor Plan > Configure Floor Plan and can be expanded to reveal separate Web and Mobile fields, each accepting a numeric pixel value.
Three preset sizes are available for the Web view:
- Small,
- Medium (default)
- Large
- Custom
Custom option that accepts a manually entered pixel value. The Mobile field follows the same pattern. Icon sizes are saved per floor plan, meaning different floors within the same property can each have their own icon size configuration. The selected size is applied immediately when the floor plan is viewed, ensuring resources are displayed at the right scale for the screen. Applies to Korbyt Booking, Bookit & Mobile.
What Admins Need to Do: Navigate to Property Setup > Floor Plan > Configure Floor Plan, expand the Icon Size section, and set the preferred Web and Mobile values. Changes take effect on save and are applied per floor.
Combo Rooms in Outlook Add-in
The Korbyt Booking Outlook Add-in (O365) now fully supports Combo Room bookings. Users can search for, view, and book Combo Rooms directly from within Outlook without needing to switch to the Web App. Availability and capacity rules for Combo Rooms are enforced at the point of booking.
No additional configuration is required. Combo Room resources already configured in Korbyt Booking will appear automatically in the Outlook Add-in.
All Day Desk Booking Banners in Outlook
Users can control how full-day bookings appear in their Exchange calendars. At booking time, users in Bookit see a checkbox to decide for individual bookings. Exchange calendar entries are created or updated via Microsoft Graph API to reflect the banner setting accurately, including bookings that originate in Korbyt and are subsequently edited in Exchange. The default value of this checkbox is decided by Admins.
**Note: The feature is available for Non-Exchange Resources Only via Bookit & Floorplan in Admin Portal. **
Mobile – COMING SOON
What Admins Need to Do to configure the default value
Configure the default via Settings > Global Settings>Default Settings > Default: Display Full day Booking as Banner in Outlook. The checkbox is presented to users at the time of booking in Booki & Floorplan in Admin Portal.
Virtual Attendee Auto-Assignment Mode
A new Booking Rules setting, Virtual Attendee Auto-Assignment Mode, controls whether the system automatically assigns meeting attendees as virtual participants based on their primary property and the booked resourceWhen enabled, the system applies the rule at the point of booking without requiring manual attendee classification. The setting is enabled by default.
When disabled, Attendees will no longer be automatically marked as Virtual and user input would be needed for the same. If **Warning message (If Attendee count is different than participant count) is enabled, **users will be able to choose if the service count should be based on count or added attendees and if Warning message (If Attendee count is different than participant count) is disabled, the same can be pre-configured by Admins.
***Note: ***Admins can disable the feature in **Settings > Business Rule Settings >Booking > Covers/Attendee Restrictions> VA Auto-Assignment **
Additional Enhancements
- Internal and External Attendee Alerts:
Administrators can now configure booking alert notifications separately for internal and external meeting attendees. This allows organizations to send tailored communications to guests and visitors without applying the same alert template used for internal employees. - Visitor Page: Booking Title Tooltip:
A tooltip has been added to the Visitor Page to display the full booking title when the title text is truncated in the list view. - O365 Add-in: Neighborhood Visibility Based on Active Status:
Neighborhood visibility in the Outlook Add-in now reflects the active status of the neighborhood, ensuring users only see neighborhoods that are currently active.

Korbyt adds a new Allow Book for Someone Else setting in Global Settings > Mobile, giving administrators control over whether the Mobile App shows the book-for-someone-else option, with Yes as the default and No hiding it entirely.
What's New?
New 'Allow Book for Someone Else' Setting for the Mobile App
A new Allow Book for Someone Else setting has been added under Global Settings → Mobile, letting administrators control whether the Book-for-Someone-Else option is visible to users in the Mobile App. The setting is ‘Yes’ by default, preserving current behavior, switching it to ‘No’ hides the option entirely from the Mobile App.

Korbyt Booking Release Notes V9.8.1
Korbyt adds bulk resource add-on configuration, auto-calculated total participants for bookings, refreshed O365 Add-in list and floor plan views, and an API to update the Non-Exchange User flag. It also brings multi-image carousels in Bookit and fixes Azure AD user import issues.
What’s New?
Bulk Resource Add-on Configuration
Admins can now apply add-ons to multiple resources in a single action instead of repeating the same configuration for each resource. The Resource Add-on Configuration screen has two new multi-select fields, Floor and Resource Type, that cascade from the selected Location and narrow which resources are listed; the Resource picker is also multi-select. A live count of selected resources and add-ons appears alongside each Select All control, and clicking Save shows a confirmation pop-up before applying the chosen add-ons to every selected resource at once.
Auto-Calculate Total Participants from Per-Room Counts
A new Business Rule setting, ‘Auto Calculate Total Participant’, gives administrators control over how the Total Participants field is populated on a booking. When the setting is Yes (the default), the field is read-only and equals the sum of the Resource participant counts entered for each booked room. It updates LIVE as spaces are added, removed, replaced, or have their Resource participant counts changed. When the setting is No, the field stays manually editable and is unaffected by changes to Resource participant counts. The behaviour applies to bookings created through Korbyt Booking and Bookit.
What Admins Need to DoThe setting is located under Administration → Settings → Business Rule Settings → Booking → Cover/Attendee Restrictions, directly beneath the Show Total Participant setting. The default value is Yes. The setting is property-based: on Korbyt Booking it follows the booking's primary property, and in Bookit it follows the logged-in user's primary property.
O365 Add-in | List and Floor Plan View Refresh
The List and Floor Plan views in the O365 Add-in have been updated with a refreshed visual design. Resource cards now display Attendee and Resource Type icons, replacing the legacy Floor label with cleaner iconography. Room and Desk resource types are distinguished by dedicated icons, making space types immediately recognizable at a glance. The Floor icon has been updated with a new highlighted treatment, and the Attendee icon in the header carries a revised color style consistent with the updated design language.
API: Update the Non-Exchange User Flag on a User Profile
A new API endpoint lets administrators and integration developers update the Non-Exchange User flag on a user's profile without opening the Korbyt Booking admin UI for each user. The endpoint supports both single-user and bulk updates. The change is reflected immediately under Administration → User Security → User and is recorded in the system audit trail along with the timestamp and caller identity.
Additional Enhancements
Multiple Resource Images throughout Bookit
Resources with multiple images now displayed as a carousel in Bookit across Resource Search, the Booking Form, My Bookings, and the Bookit Floorplan. Users can navigate images using left and right arrows.
Azure AD User Sync | Improved Handling of User Import
Resolved an issue where certain users were not being imported into Korbyt Booking during an Azure AD / Entra ID sync. This affected environments where user accounts are managed directly in the cloud without synchronization from an on-premises Active Directory. Affected users will now import successfully without any manual intervention required.

Korbyt Anywhere Weekly Recap & Playlist Interrupt Release - 05.15.2026
Korbyt adds Playlist Priority Scheduling and expands signage management with new device provisioning, cache clearing, startup diagnostics, API key automation, local time zone support for captures, shared Power BI credential management, and PWA audio volume control.
Playlist Priority Scheduling: Interrupt and Override | Take full control of what plays and when
When something urgent needs to go on screen immediately, you shouldn't have to fight your own playlist to get it there. Playlist Priority Scheduling lets you assign priority levels across your content so that high-urgency material - emergency alerts, executive communications, compliance notices - automatically interrupts lower-priority playback and takes over the display. When the priority event ends, your standard schedule resumes on its own, with no manual intervention required.
With enhancements to Playlist Priority Scheduling, you can:
- Define priority tiers across playlists so critical content always wins
- Configure interrupt and override rules that activate the moment high-priority content is triggered
- Return to standard scheduled content automatically once the priority event completes

New & Enhanced
- Sony Bravia Provisioning and API Integration: Provision and manage Sony Bravia displays directly through Korbyt, with full API integration for streamlined device setup and control.
- Amazon Signage Stick Integration: Provision Amazon Signage Sticks using the Device Serial Number (DSN) as the provisioning token, simplifying large-scale deployments.

- Crestron Startup Diagnostics: Korbyt now logs the PWA provisioning token, origin, and fallback resolution at startup on Crestron players, giving support teams the context they need to diagnose provisioning issues faster.
- Secrets API for API Key Management: A new API enables programmatic creation and deletion of API keys used to manage secrets, supporting automated credential rotation workflows without manual admin intervention.
- Korbyt Capture: Local Time Zone Support: Screenshot browser tasks in Korbyt Capture now execute against the player's local time zone, ensuring scheduled captures reflect the correct local time rather than a default server clock.
- Korbyt Keychain for Power BI Credentials: Migrate Power BI layouts to use a shared Keychain entry so credential rotations require a single update instead of changes across every individual layout.
- PWA Audio Volume Control: Administrators can now adjust the audio volume directly on Korbyt Signage PWA players, including the ability to fully mute a player and have that setting persist.

Korbyt Anywhere Product Recap - 01.12.2026
Korbyt unveils Secrets API for centralized credential management with RBAC and audit trails, introduces Layout Builder Code Version Control with auto history, and adds customizable SharePoint JSON path labels to simplify connections.
We're constantly working to improve Korbyt. Here's what we were up to over the break and last week week:
New & Enhanced
- Secrets API: Credential Management — IT Admins can now securely manage the lifecycle of API credentials using a centralized Secrets API. 🐞 Squashed Bugs

- Resolved a 504 error when exporting playlists with large video attachments.
