Software Updates

• More Reliable Low-Battery Docking: If Matic's lid is open when it returns to the dock on a low battery, it now backs onto the dock so the lid closes on contact, instead of shutting down in place.
• Smarter Pet Waste Detection: Matic's pet waste detection is now about 2× more reliable. The algorithm is now trained on many more diverse scenarios, so Matic spots and avoids pet waste more consistently.
• More Accurate Cleaning Summaries: Fixed an issue where a targeted clean (for example, just the toekicks in a room) could show misleadingly low coverage for that area. Coverage stats now reflect just what you asked Matic to clean.

Introducing Matic Cues — Voice & Gesture Control: Talk to Matic like you'd talk to a helper. Matic understands natural language, so say it your way. Here's everything you can ask:

• Clean a room: "Hey, Matic — clean the kitchen." Works with mopping and vacuuming too: "mop the bedroom," "vacuum the hallway." You can chain multiple rooms in one command.
• Clean everywhere: "Clean the whole house," "clean all rooms."
• Clean by surface or detail: "Clean the carpets," "clean the hard floors," "clean the edges," "clean the toekicks" — target exactly the surfaces that need it, in one room or the whole home.
• Clean this: Point at a spot and say "clean this" — Matic sees where you're pointing and cleans that exact area.
• Clean it again: "Redo last clean" repeats your most recent cleaning session.
• Send it somewhere: "Go to the kitchen" sends Matic to any room you've named on your map.
• Follow me: "Follow me" — Matic follows you to wherever needs attention.
• Refill: "Go to the sink" — Matic comes to the sink for a water refill.
• Pause and resume: "Pause" holds position until you say "resume."
• Go home: "Dock" sends Matic back to its charger.
• Give me space: "Go away" — Matic skips the current room and moves on, or heads back to the dock.

App Updates

• Matic Cues Walkthrough: A hands-on tutorial teaches you the wake word and your first commands — clean, stop, and dock — with Matic responding live as you learn.
• Name Rooms with Your Voice: When reviewing your map, just say each room's name out loud and it's applied instantly — no typing. (You can still type a name any time.)
• Discover Voice Commands: A new module in Settings lists every Cue you can say, organized by category with what each one does — so you can always find the right words.

Software Updates

• Faster Room-to-Room Cleaning: Path planning between rooms is now up to 2× faster, so Matic spends less time thinking and more time cleaning, especially when starting a session from the dock.
• Smoother Mopping: Matic now correctly recognizes when it's genuinely stuck while mopping and recovers on its own, without falsely pausing during normal mopping turns.
• Smarter Room Boundaries: Matic now draws more accurate room boundaries on your map, and when boundaries update, your schedules automatically carry over instead of needing to be recreated.
• More Reliable Jam Alerts: Fixed an issue where a brush jam during a manually started clean could leave Matic waiting silently instead of letting you know.

• Live Cleaning Activities: Follow Matic's progress right from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, see what it's cleaning, and how far along it is without opening the app.

Software Updates

• Smarter Mop Roll Alerts: Matic is now better at telling a worn-out mop roll from a missing one, so you get the right guidance on when it's time for a replacement.
• Smarter Around Floor Vents: Matic now recognizes floor vents and avoids running its cleaning head directly over them, while still driving across to reach the rest of your floor.
• Instant Sweeper Placement Check: When you re-insert the sweeper, Matic now checks right away that it's seated correctly and lets you know if it needs adjusting.'

• Easier Room Split: Editing a map now gives you a draggable divider line you can position and pivot to split a room exactly where you want it.

• Fewer Unexpected Restarts: Matic now rides out brief memory spikes instead of restarting right away, so cleaning runs are less likely to be interrupted.
• More Reliable Docking: If Matic's usual approach to the dock is blocked, it now moves in close and tries again instead of giving up.
• Smoother Schedule Editing: Fixed an issue where deleting an area that was the only one in a schedule could cause an error. The schedule is now removed automatically.

• Easier Wi-Fi Password Entry: Finding your Wi-Fi password during setup is now easier — Android takes you straight to your Wi-Fi settings, and iOS offers your saved password right from the keyboard.

• Smoother Mopping: Tuned how Matic responds to slips while mopping. It now maintains a steady, natural pace instead of slowing down after a slip is detected.
• Performance and Stability Improvements: Navigation planning is more efficient, and on-robot diagnostics have been improved to catch issues earlier.

• Refreshed Room Editing: The room editing screen has a cleaner, updated design, making it easier to view and edit the rooms on your map.
• Guided Help for a Clogged Mop Wringer: If Matic's mop wringer gets clogged, the home screen banner now has a "How-To" button that walks you through clearing it with illustrated, step-by-step instructions.

Android

• Better Support for Large Font Sizes: Fixed an issue where the app layout could break at larger system font sizes. The app now displays correctly no matter what font size you've set.

• Avoids Clothes and Soft Items on the Floor: Matic now recognizes clothes, socks, towels, and similar soft items on the floor and cleans around them instead of pushing or tangling with them, so a stray sock no longer interrupts a run.
• More Reliable Schedules After Remapping: Fixed an issue where editing or re-mapping an area could leave old schedules pointing at the replaced map, causing repeated "skipped schedule" notifications. Schedules now stay tied to the current map.
• Custom-Area Schedules Stay Put: Fixed an issue where a recurring schedule set on a custom drawn area could be dropped after a cleaning run. Custom-area schedules now fire dependably every time.

• Accurate Schedule Times Year-Round: Fixed an issue where schedule times could display an hour off after a daylight-saving change.

iOS

• Draw a Star for the 4th of July: 🎆 To celebrate Independence Day, long-press anywhere on your map and Matic will drive a red, white, or blue star right onto your floor plan. Check the star sheet to see your collection by color — and share a card of your handiwork with friends.
• Holiday Fireworks & Festive Map: Matic celebrated with on-screen fireworks and a red, white, and blue map background for the holiday.

Android

• 4th of July Costume: Matic dressed up for Independence Day with a festive costume and a holiday map wallpaper!

Software Updates

• Smarter Cord & Wire Detection: Matic's detection model is now better at spotting cords and wires that can snag the sweeper, helping it steer clear and reducing sweeper jams.

• Update Notification Opens Release Notes: Tapping the "your robot has been updated" push notification now takes you directly to the release notes page in the app.

Android

• “Add New Map” Button: A dedicated "Add new map" button now appears on the map screen, making it easier to start exploring a new floor.

• Switch Matic During Setup: You can now switch between robots during onboarding (plus tidied-up Settings spacing and header)
• Smoother Sink Summon Button: The "Not Now" button now properly closes the Sink Summon prompt, stray taps are no longer captured after it's dismissed, and duplicate pop-ups (and a related crash) are fixed.
• Brush Roll Maintenance: Matic now reminds you to periodically remove debris from the brush roll.
• More Visible Alert: Error and network-warning banners now appear in more situations.

Android

• Referral program: A referral button now appears in the home screen sidebar; tap it to share Matic with friends.
• Disappearing Tab Bar Fix: Fixed a long-standing issue where the bottom navigation bar could vanish, making it hard to move between screens.
• Reprioritize While Cleaning: You can now change which rooms Matic cleans without stopping an active cleaning session.
