    Metricool adds a new Reporting section that brings Reports, Campaign Dashboards, Metricool Studio and Data Studio under one roof, while also letting users schedule Reels and Trial Reels with trending audio, analyze Threads competitors, and tweak approval and Planner tools.

    We hinted at this earlier in the month, and here it is: a new Reporting section in Metricool.

    Reporting

    • One home for all: Reports, 🆕 Campaign Dashboards, 🆕 Metricool Studio, Data Studio now share one home. Whatever kind of output you need, there’s a tool for it under one roof.
    • Pick the tool that best fits your needs: Reporting gives you four ways to analyse, each for a different need. Go generic with Reports, zoom into a specific campaign with Campaign Dashboards, run deep-dive analysis with Metricool Studio, or build custom BI views with Data Studio.
    • Answer the specific questions, not the generic ones: Stop scrolling through a wall of data. Reporting is where you can clearly see: how did my Black Friday campaign land? How is brand A pacing against brand B?

    Metricool Studio and Campaign Dashboards are available on Starter and Advanced plans for a limited time*

    *Afterwards they’ll be a paid add-on for Starter or Advanced

    Add trending audio to Reels and trial Reels

    This was one of the most requested features, Metricooler. You can now schedule Reels and Trial Reels with trending audio directly from Metricool without touching your phone.

    • Find the audio you’re looking for: Access a library of music plus original sounds uploaded by other creators. Choose the audio that best fits your Reel.
    • Choose with no surprises: For each audio, you’ll see the title, artist, duration, cover thumbnail, and a preview to listen to before adding it to your Reel.
    • Schedule and forget about your phone: Organize your Reels and publish them with the audio already included. No more opening Instagram right after posting to add audio by hand.

    Threads competitors

    If you’ve been waiting to analyze your competition on Threads, here it is. You can add your Threads competitors in the Analytics section. Competitor data is also available in Data Studio, so you can drop it straight into your reports.

    Metricool improves planning and analytics with finer post-type filters, new LinkedIn posts and Instagram Reels data in Looker Studio, and YouTube channel or playlist feeds in SmartLinks. It also fixes HEIC uploads in Planner and updates competitor filters with clearer cumulative metrics.

    Filter the calendar and post lists by post type

    We’ve fine-tuned the filters 👏🏻. Now each social shows its own post types so you can filter them easily, Twitter/X with Post and Poll, Instagram with Post, Stories, and Reel, and so on for each platform.

    The checkbox says it all; it appears checked when all subtypes are selected, turns into a dash when only some are active, and disappears when none are selected. At a glance, you know what you’re seeing and what’s being left out.

    LinkedIn and Instagram Reels now available in Looker Studio

    You can now work with performance data from LinkedIn posts and Instagram Reels directly in Looker. You’ve got the full set of metrics, impressions, clicks, reactions, comments, shares, engagement rate, plus daily and cumulative views.

    Looker Studio is only available on Advanced plans or higher.

    Add your YouTube feed to your SmartLinks

    Until now, if you wanted your YouTube videos on your SmartLink, you had to add them one by one. Not anymore 👏🏻

    Now you can connect your YouTube channel or a specific playlist to your SmartLink page, and the videos will appear automatically. In the “Media” section, you’ll see a new button, “Add from YouTube,” as long as you have a channel connected to the brand. You can choose the full channel feed or a specific playlist. It shows the 15 most recent videos and refreshes every 4 hours.

    Other important updates

    Planner

    • Fixed HEIC image uploads: Resolved an issue when uploading .heic files in the Planner, depending on browser or operating system.

    Analytics | Competitors

    • Cumulative indicators: Added an info icon to columns with cumulative metrics. Helps avoid confusing lifetime data with the selected date range.
    • Competitor filter update: New name-based filter in tables (general and posts). All are selected by default, and you can toggle them easily. The “Compare” button has been removed.

    Metricool adds new Instagram Reels metrics, brings advanced TikTok analytics, and expands planning with bulk post duplication across brands and guided AI scheduling. It also improves the planner with auto-saving, automatic image conversion, and reply-to options in reports.

    New Instagram Reels metrics

    We’ve added not one, not two, but four new metrics for Instagram Reels:

    • Duration
    • Retention %
    • View rate %
    • Reposts

    TikTok – Detailed analytics

    A month ago, we launched advanced analytics for Instagram (Reels and posts), and it worked so well that we’ve brought it to TikTok 👏🏻

    Access a detailed analysis of the first 15 days of your TikTok posts:

    • See in detail how your posts are performing
    • Learn and identify the content that works
    • Use that knowledge to optimize your content

    Advanced TikTok analytics are only available on the Advanced plans.

    Copy posts across multiple brands

    Now you can bulk duplicate posts across multiple brands:

    • Single post to multiple brands

      From the list or calendar view, click Duplicate to another brand and then select all the brands where you want to copy the post in bulk.

    • Multiple posts to multiple brands

      From the planner’s list view, select the posts you want, click Duplicate to another brand, and choose all the brands where you want to duplicate them in bulk.

    Schedule with AI – Guided Mode

    Using AI scheduling used to be tricky because it has so many different options, but not anymore. Now there’s a guided mode that lets you schedule by simply filling in the fields, so you won’t forget anything.

    Plus, you can now access this feature from a saved post or from the posts list.

    AI scheduling is only available on Advanced plans.

    Other important updates

    • [Planner] Auto-saving posts.

      Now, if you close the planner without manually saving, you won’t lose your work. Any changes you make to a post’s settings are automatically saved every 30 seconds.

    • [Planner] Automatic conversion of unsupported image formats.

      From now on, when you upload an image in a format not supported by that social network, the system will automatically convert it to JPG.

    • [Analytics] Add “Reply to” in reports.

      We’ve added the option to set a reply-to address for automatic monthly reports. Reports are only available on the Starter plan or higher.

    Metricool adds Trial Reels, new Instagram Reels and Posts analytics, smarter Planner thumbnail creation, and Smartlinks upgrades with CSV exports and design controls. It also improves TikTok timing, monthly email summaries, and analytics breakdowns for post types.

    Instagram – Trial Reels

    This is a top-tier feature, Metricoolers: we’re launching Trial Reels.

    This feature lets you show a test Reel to a new audience of people who don’t follow you yet, so you can see how the content performs before publishing it.

    The goal is to check whether the Reel resonates with your audience/ potential audience. If the Reel performs well, you can automatically publish it to your entire audience 👏🏻

    Instagram Reels and Posts, new metrics and detailed analytics during the first 15 days

    Last month we released advanced metrics for Reels, and now we’ve rolled them out for posts as well.

    On top of that, we’ve introduced a couple of changes:

    • Analytics view: cumulative or daily
    • The interactions axis has been moved to the right

    Detailed analytics are available on the Advanced plan.

    With the Starter plan, you can add up to 10 brands, connect your LinkedIn account, generate reports, and much more.

    With the Advanced plan, you get all the Starter benefits, plus advanced features like: add up to 50 brands, manage teams, clients, and roles, approve content, and create reports with custom templates, among others.

    Planner – Generate a thumbnail from a video frame

    This is great, Metricooler. Now you can select the exact moment of a video to generate a thumbnail. This feature is only available for social networks that support thumbnails

    Smartlinks – Experience improvements and new features

    We’re going all in on Smartlinks. We’ve added the following improvements:

    • Download a CSV with all your Smartlinks analytics.
    • Choose the font and color for your buttons, descriptions, and titles.
    • Change the aspect ratio of your images or videos to 1:1, 4:5, or 16:9.

    Smartlinks are only available on paid plans.

    With the Starter plan, you can add up to 10 brands, connect your LinkedIn account, generate reports, and much more.

    With the Advanced plan, you get all the Starter benefits, plus advanced features like: add up to 50 brands, manage teams, clients, and roles, approve content, and create reports with custom templates, among others.

    Instagram Reels – New metrics and detailed analytics during the first 15 days

    We have added two new metrics for Reels: average watch time and total watch time. But that is not all.

    Now you have a detailed analysis of your Reel’s critical first 15 days, and ensure every post becomes a lasting asset on your profile:

    • Analyze how your Reels are performing in the first 15 days of life in detail
    • Learn and identify Reel’s content that works
    • Use the knowledge to build optimized Reels
    • Detailed analytics are available on the Advanced plan.

    Schedule with AI – Social networks and best times in prompt

    New things are coming to AI scheduling. You can now tell the AI to schedule posts on whichever social networks you want and to do it at the best times for each social. All through a prompt, so you don’t have to go checking what the best times are for every network 👏🏻

    Schedule with AI is available on the Advanced plan.

    TikTok Business – Follower balance

    We have new metrics for TikTok Business accounts, followers gained and followers lost. TikTok has been providing this data since September 29.

    • Instagram: We have increased the number of collaborators on multimedia files from 3 to 5.
    • YouTube-Planner: You can now add videos to YouTube playlists via CSV
    • Smartlinks: You can now show/hide deleted or disabled items in Smartlinks analytics

    Share a URL to connect social media accounts to a brand

    If you manage multiple client brands, this is going to make your life much easier. It lets your clients connect their social media accounts to a Metricool brand via a link. No registration required.

    No more asking for passwords or account info; now you can start collaborating with them much faster.

    This feature is available on the Advanced plans.

    New permission: Summarized analytics

    We’ve added a new permission for roles: Summarized analytics.

    Before, there was only one analytics permission that gave full access to all networks’ analytics.

    With this new permission, you can limit what a user with this role sees to a general summary of analytics across all connected networks, displayed with timelines, basic numeric metrics, and pie charts.

    This feature is available on the Advanced plans.

    Button to refresh YouTube playlists

    Last month, we launched a new feature that lets you add scheduled YouTube videos directly to a playlist.

    But there was a problem: newly created playlists didn’t appear immediately, now that’s fixed 🥳. We’ve added a button to update your playlists instantly.

    Schedule posts with AI

    Okay, you’ve created your post, but now you need to schedule it 😩. Get ready, because you’re going to love this: we launched AI scheduling.

    With this new feature, you can post the same content across multiple brands at once, set a posting frequency, and even adjust scheduling based on each brand’s time zone. All with a single prompt.

    This opens a huge range of possibilities for posting, reducing the time you need to schedule content. Plus, it allows you to create recurring posts or evergreen content. Basically, this is huge news, Metricooler 😎.

    Metricool adds new Threads controls and a Profile views metric in Content, lets users schedule YouTube videos to playlists from the planner, improves Edits app video sharing, and cleans up the analytics sidebar by showing only connected networks.

    Threads

    We have 2 new features in Threads. From now on, you can decide who’s allowed to reply to your posts on Threads:

    • Everyone
    • Profiles you follow
    • Followers
    • Mentioned profiles

    On top of that, there’s a new metric: Profile views available in Content.

    YouTube presets

    Before, if you uploaded a YouTube video, you had to go to YouTube to add it to a playlist; that’s over. Now you can schedule a video to be added to a playlist directly from the planner, using YouTube presets.

    In the presets, there’s a new field to choose which playlists the video will be added to once it’s published.

    LinkedIn

    Haven’t connected your LinkedIn account yet? With the Starter plan or higher, you get access to more brands, reports, and more.

    Edits app

    If you use the Edits app, this is for you. We’ve heard that uploading videos from the Edits app may be positively affecting the reach of the videos you upload.

    When you edit a video with Edits and share it, you’ll be able to send it to Metricool. If you have the Metricool app installed (iOS | Android), it will open the planner and automatically insert the Edits video.

    Sidebar menu in analytics

    We had received a lot of complaints about this, so we’ve fixed it 👏🏻: We’ve improved the sidebar menu in the analytics section. Now, we’ll only show the connected networks; no more seeing the “+” in the sidebar when you don’t have a network connected.

    You’ll be able to see the rest and connect them by clicking the connections button or in brand settings.

    There have been 2 very important changes in the planner:

    The first change is that videos you upload to Metricool are now processed faster and with higher quality.

    The second change is in the gallery. In the images/videos/GIFs gallery, search results are now saved until you perform a new search.

    AI – Set up your writing style

    We’re continuing with the AI updates, Metricooler. You can now modify your general writing style as well as by social network, so the AI sounds like you. This feature is in a new tab under Brand settings > AI configuration.

    Recover deleted posts

    If you’ve ever accidentally deleted posts, this is for you. You can now recover your deleted posts from the new “Deleted posts” tab in the planner.

    Now you can choose who can see your TikTok Business post: Only you, everyone, or just friends.

    Update – LinkedIn mentions

    We’ve improved the search to mention personal and company profiles on LinkedIn more easily from Metricool. Just type @usernameorcompany in the planner to mention them.

    New option – Create X polls

    We launched them a few months ago for LinkedIn and haven’t stopped since. Now you can create polls on X too! Remember that polls are among the posts with the highest engagement 👀

    Just a heads-up: to connect your X account, you’ll need an add-on for each connected account. You can modify your current plan anytime to add the add-ons you need.

    Choose who can reply to your posts on Twitter/X

    You can choose who can reply to your posts — everyone, only people you follow, verified users…

    Who wouldn’t love to post something like “Everyone who comments on this gets a $100 gift card”… and then make it so no one can comment? 🙊

    If X is part of your social media strategy, remember that with the Starter plan and the X add-on, you can schedule your X posts and access limited X analytics (full analytics available in the Advanced plan)

    Instagram analytics available when you connect without Facebook

    If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll know that up until now, connecting Instagram required linking it to a Facebook Page (thanks, Meta 🙄).

    That connection didn’t come with analytics at first (yep, another Meta thingy), but once they enabled it, bam! We activated those analytics on Metricool 🎉

    So yes, you can now see Instagram analytics even if you connect it without a Facebook page.

    Add ALT text to Instagram images

    This one’s an easy win: you can now add ALT text to your Instagram images. For now, it’s only available for the images in your posts.

    Instagram “Impressions” are now “Views” in the analytics section

    You might’ve noticed this one already: Instagram has changed the metric name from Impressions to Views.

    That’s now the main stat for reels, videos, posts, and stories.

    And since we don’t want you scratching your head over the numbers, we’ve already updated it in Metricool to match what you see on Instagram.

    Bluesky doesn’t offer built-in analytics at the moment, so we have built our own!:

    Duplicate your posts across brands

    If you manage multiple brands and want to save time, this is 100% for you. Check your posts, open one, and click “Duplicate in brand.” Then, select one or more brands where the post will be duplicated.

    Instagram feed preview updated with a new format

    The Instagram preview has been updated with a vertical format for all devices (previously, you could choose between iOS/Android). We’re keeping it fresh! 💅

    Jump to a specific day/month/year in the calendar

    Simple and easy. Now you can click on the planner’s arrow and select a specific day, month, or year.

    Smartlinks are the star tool to drive your social media audience to strategic content. We’ve added some amazing improvements that you’re going to love 👇

    • New option: Horizontal logos.
    • New option: No logo.
    • Two new separate sections: headers and icons.
    • Improved appearance when there are empty sections.
    • Icon position customizable (before or after buttons).
    • The maximum number of buttons has been limited to 100.

    LinkedIn – Link preview in autolists

    A couple of months ago, we added link previews on LinkedIn, and now this improvement has made its way to Metricool’s autolists ✨

    You can now enable/disable a preset in LinkedIn autolists to show/hide the link preview. Keep in mind that if you enable this preset, it will affect all posts in the autolist.
