Further documentation can be found here.
Modernized user experience
- Rebuilt the Publisher interface. The left-hand navigation replaces the original tabbed layout, so you can move between sections with a single click.
- Embedded most configuration dialogs directly into the main window instead of opening separate pop-ups. A few views, such as the CVE Import Wizard, still open as separate windows that you can move and use alongside the main window.
- Added native Light and Dark theme switching from the Theme control at the bottom of the window.
- Split Catalog Products and Custom Products into separate tabs, including in the tree view.
- Split Alerts into dedicated pages, removing the scroll bar from the combined view.
- Added a Service Status page under the About tab that hosts live synchronization progress and Publisher statistics. The synchronization progress bar has moved here from its previous location.
- Added a Feedback option that lets you send us your experience, optionally including screenshots and logs.
- Copy Products now prompts you for the destination tab instead of inferring it from where you clicked the control.
- Reorganized the Publisher settings and navigation layout.
Application views, filtering, and search
- Added Grid View, which shows applications as cards with key details and optional grouping of app variants into a single card.
- Added Stats View, an interactive statistics panel below the app view. Clicking a stat filters the catalog to only the items that match it.
- Added advanced filtering with Any, Must have, and Must NOT have conditions for locating apps and their settings.
- Added a text filter that filters the grid or product tree as you type.
- Added an Enabled quick filter to the product tabs. It shows the enabled product count, applies the Enabled Only filter in one click, clears back to Show All when selected again, and stays synchronized with Advanced Filters.
- Split assignment types across dedicated tabs for a cleaner layout when managing large numbers of assignments.
- Improved the behavior of information filters, making them easier to clear and reset throughout the Publisher.
- Added pagination to the Entra ID group picker while retaining selections across pages.
New capabilities
- Added Show Dependencies, so you can view the dependencies an application has based on Patch My PC metadata, from both the app view and the tree view.
- Added support for supplying a custom code-signing certificate specifically for ConfigMgr detection scripts, as an alternative to your WSUS certificate.
- Added support for delaying in-place updates for Intune applications and Intune updates.
- Added an Advanced option to hide the Intune Apps and Intune Updates tabs, matching the existing options for WSUS and ConfigMgr.
- Added a confirmation prompt before running Publishing Service Sync from the Run Publishing Service Sync button.
- Reintroduced PatchMyPc.log, which contains all informational, error, and exception messages. Each component, such as ConfigMgr, WSUS, Sync, UI, and Licensing, keeps its own log file containing those messages plus debug entries.
Changed and removed behavior
- You can no longer create or copy legacy Microsoft Teams webhook alerts in the Publisher. Existing legacy webhooks continue to work, but we recommend planning a migration to modern alerting.
- Removed the Log Level (Information/Debug) dropdown from General settings. Log levels are now managed automatically.
- The Advanced Intune Standalone Options section is now named Product Integrations.
Improvements
- Significantly improved ConfigMgr folder-browser performance for large folder structures. Loading 1500 or more folders previously took 5 to 10 minutes and now takes a few seconds.
- The Cloud tab now remains visible for all license states. An ineligible license disables the connection without deleting your saved configuration.
- Improved Settings Apply responsiveness and prevented incomplete SQL settings from starting database operations.
- A clearer default tooltip is shown when no code-signing certificate is selected, and Certificate Management text, dialog sizing, and icons are now consistent.
- Improved license refresh behavior, remaining-days calculation, and ConfigMgr SQL validation, and improved guidance for expired or invalid licenses.
- Upgrade notifications now link to the current release notes location.
- Consolidated System.Net.Http assembly references to improve reliability.
Accessibility
- Added visible invalid-path feedback to the CVE Import Wizard.
- Added an explanation when Scan Query is disabled.
- Improved Entra ID group messages and text visibility across the Light and High Contrast themes.
- Improved synchronization between grid selections and dropdown selections when using keyboard navigation.
- Added keyboard access for DataGrid column headers and corrected DataGrid tab navigation and focus traversal.
- Resolved keyboard navigation conflicts throughout the application.
- Improved filter naming, Cloud deployment indicators, icon theming, button sizing, text rendering, and window hover states.
- Added copyable release-note links and consistent Publisher Statistics labels.
Fixes: publishing and synchronization
- Fixed an issue that could trigger a duplicate publish synchronization operation.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when running Sync Now in some cases.
- Fixed selective-sync API requests reporting success when nothing was marked for publishing.
- Restored non-blocking warnings when publishing is enabled without any selected products.
- Preserved catalog process lists when the saved process pattern is empty.
- Fixed the Manage Conflicting Processes list clearing unexpectedly.
Fixes: ConfigMgr
- ConfigMgr applications deleted while their content remains are now recreated during the same synchronization.
Fixes: reliability and configuration
- Fixed compatibility failures caused by a Newtonsoft.Json version mismatch, including when an older Newtonsoft.Json assembly is installed in the GAC. This previously surfaced as a JToken.WriteTo MissingMethodException.
- Fixed an issue where a stale client secret could be used by the Graph Mail OAuth token provider.
- Hardened settings imports to preserve encrypted values safely and to reject unsupported cross-machine secret imports.
- Logging now correctly honors a custom runtime log path, and disabling logging no longer replaces a custom log-folder path.
- Fixed validation issues when editing webhooks.
- Fixed Config API errors for unsupported uploads, invalid tenant identifiers, and ports that are already in use.
Fixes: user interface
- Clicking an indeterminate Vendor or All Vendors checkbox now selects all products instead of clearing the selection.
- Canceling an All Vendors bulk selection now aborts the entire operation.
- Fixed false no-products-selected warnings after selecting the first filtered product.
- Clear All Filters now works after reloading a filtered tab.
- Vendor, product, and webhook checkbox states now stay synchronized across filters and bulk selection.
- Export to CSV is disabled until a query has been run, and CSV export headers now match the columns shown in the UI for the scan wizards.
