Here’s What’s New in QuickLaunch 8.59 and 8.60

New Features & Enhancements

• Various API Enhancements for Voice AI Agent
  Various enhancements and extensions have been created to enable additional functionality for the Voice AI Agent.
  Features include -

• Microsoft Entra Related Enhancements
  Implemented multiple improvements to enhance authentication, user management, MFA, password management, and overall Microsoft Entra ID integration reliability.

• Microsoft API – Employee Type Attribute
  Added support for the Employee Type attribute in the Microsoft API to provide enhanced user attribute synchronization and management capabilities.

• Panorama Pro – API Security & Authentication Enhancements
  General security enhancements were added for existing self-service flows.

• Login Autofill Enhancement

Bug Fixes

• Password Manager – Forgot Password Fix
  Resolved an issue where users could receive an incorrect password policy validation error even when the new password met all configured requirements. Users can now successfully reset their passwords when valid criteria are met.

• Helpdesk Password Update Fix
  Resolved a password update mismatch issue in the Helpdesk interface to ensure password changes are processed and reflected correctly.

• O365 License Assignment Fix
  Resolved an issue affecting Microsoft 365 license assignment when an invalid or unsupported usage location was associated with a user.

• UPN Attribute Claim Enhancement
  Fixed claim processing for the UPN attribute across key authentication and account management workflows, including login, Forgot Username, Forgot Password, First-Time User, Account Activation, and Update Password.

• Panorama Pro – UPN Login Enhancement
  Resolved an issue affecting user login when the tenant domain and UPN domain are the same and UPN is configured as the Login ID attribute.

New Features & Enhancements

Smart Access UI & Validation Improvements (Panorama Pro Theme)

The following usability and validation enhancements have been implemented for Smart Access to improve the rule creation experience:

• Resolved a layout issue where Smart Access page content could overlap with the footer during firewall rule creation, ensuring proper page alignment and a consistent user interface.
• Improved validation logic for directory-based user group conditions by displaying validation messages in the correct sequence, providing clearer guidance during rule configuration.
• Enhanced error handling for firewall rule creation and updates by displaying duplicate rule name and other validation messages directly within the Create/Edit Firewall Rule dialog, eliminating the need to close the popup to view errors.

Panorama Pro Improvements

The following enhancements have been made to improve the Panorama Pro user experience, notification consistency, and interface reliability:

• Updated Account Settings notification behavior to ensure notification pop-ups are displayed according to the configured security policy, including for users signing in from trusted devices.
• Improved the Top 5 Apps widget to automatically refresh after an application is removed, preventing empty placeholders and ensuring the remaining applications are displayed correctly.
• Enhanced the Security Question MFA experience by enabling automatic cursor focus for each subsequent security question, streamlining the authentication and account recovery process.
• Resolved an issue in the Panorama Pro theme where phone number masking was not applied correctly during authentication and account recovery workflows. This enhancement ensures sensitive phone numbers are consistently masked to improve user privacy and security.
• Implemented global UI improvements for the Panorama Pro dashboard to ensure consistent application icon rendering and layout across all tenants, eliminating the need for tenant-specific adjustments and providing a more polished end-user experience.

Microsoft Entra ID Enhancements

The following enhancements and fixes improve the authentication experience, MFA enrollment, password management, and overall reliability for Microsoft Entra ID integrations:

• Improved the First-Time User (FTU) onboarding flow to eliminate unintended redirection loops after MFA enrollment, ensuring a smooth and consistent setup experience.
• Resolved issues affecting password management for Microsoft Entra ID users across account recovery and lifecycle workflows, including Forgot Username, Forgot Password, Account Activation, and Notification for Password Expiration.
• Fixed an issue affecting phone factor enrollment where valid one-time passwords (OTPs) could fail verification under certain Microsoft Entra ID configurations.
• Improved authentication policy enforcement to ensure Microsoft Entra ID verification is consistently applied according to the configured sign-in flow, regardless of MFA policy settings.
• Optimized the post-verification authentication experience by replacing unnecessary intermediate page redirects with a seamless loading experience before redirecting users to the appropriate destination.
• Enhanced overall Microsoft Entra ID integration reliability through improvements to authentication workflows, password operations, MFA enrollment, and user provisioning.

New Features & Enhancements

QL Smart Access (Panorama Pro Theme)

Overview

QuickLaunch Smart Access introduces a unified Web Application Firewall (WAF) capability that enables tenant administrators to define, manage, and enforce access policies based on IP addresses, geographic locations, and directory group membership. The solution provides centralized control over access decisions directly from the QuickLaunch admin console.

Purpose & Value

• Enhances security by restricting access from unauthorized IP addresses and geographic regions.
• Enables organizations to enforce access policies based on user directory groups and roles.
• Provides centralized management of conditional access policies through a single administrative interface.
• Reduces security risk by ensuring access is granted only to authorized users from approved locations and networks.

User Experience

Administrators can create and manage access policies that allow or deny authentication requests based on IP ranges, countries, and directory group membership. Policies can combine multiple conditions to support organization-specific security requirements and can be enabled, modified, or retired through a streamlined rule management interface. Access decisions are evaluated automatically during authentication, helping organizations enforce security policies without impacting the user experience for authorized users.

Enhancements

The following enhancements have been implemented to improve usability, consistency, and the overall authentication experience:

• Added a confirmation dialog when deregistering a passkey in the Panorama Pro theme, providing users with an additional verification step before removing a registered passkey.
• Enhanced the My Devices experience by displaying device activity timestamps in the tenant's preferred time zone rather than UTC, improving readability and audit visibility.
• Updated OTP-related messaging and placeholder text across authentication and account recovery workflows, including:
  • Login
  • Forgot Username
  • Forgot Password
  • Email, Phone, and Authenticator verification flows

Improvements include clearer instructions, updated placeholder text, refined OTP verification messages, enhanced resend OTP notifications, confirmation messages for successful OTP delivery and verification, and more user-friendly error messaging for invalid OTP entries.

Bug Fixes

The following enhancements and fixes have been implemented to improve reporting accuracy, device management, and user experience:

• Resolved reporting inconsistencies for passkey authentication events across Smart Insight, User Details, and Activity Logs, ensuring improved visibility and audit accuracy.
• Enhanced mobile number handling to better support phone numbers stored in different formats within Active Directory. Upcoming improvements will standardize display formatting by presenting only numeric values regardless of the source format.
• Fixed an issue where device trust status updates were not reflected immediately after a device was marked as untrusted.
• Resolved an issue that could cause the passkey setup pop-up to close unexpectedly when users retried the registration process, resulting in a more reliable passkey enrollment experience.

Here’s What’s New in QuickLaunch 8.56

New Features & Enhancements

1. Temporary Access Code (Panorama Pro Theme)

Overview

QuickLaunch now enables Tenant Admins (Helpdesk) to generate a secure temporary access code for end users when their MFA device is unavailable. Tokens can be configured with a validity period ranging from 1 to 24 hours and expire automatically after the configured duration.

Purpose & Value

• Provides a secure fallback authentication method for users unable to access their MFA device.
• Reduces login disruption and improves helpdesk response time for account recovery scenarios.
• Enhances security with automatic Code expiry, audit logging, and restricted admin-only access.

User Experience

The Temporary Access Code option becomes available after the Tenant Admin enables Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on their own account. Administrators can generate a secure temporary code for eligible users, define the validity period, and share it with the user for temporary access. All token generation activities are automatically logged for auditing and compliance purposes.

2. Box Connector

Overview

QuickLaunch now provides an enhanced Box ILM Connection that automates user lifecycle management and personal folder provisioning for Box accounts. The integration supports automated account creation, profile updates, folder management, and deprovisioning workflows synchronized with Active Directory and institutional systems.

Purpose & Value

• Automates Box account provisioning and deprovisioning based on user lifecycle events in Active Directory.
• Reduces manual administration by automatically managing user profile updates and personal folder creation.
• Ensures consistent and secure access management for staff, faculty, and designated users.
• Simplifies storage lifecycle management by automatically archiving and removing inactive user folders.

User Experience

When a new eligible user account is created in Active Directory, QuickLaunch automatically provisions a corresponding Box account and creates a personal folder within the designated organizational folder structure. User profile information such as name and email address remains synchronized with institutional systems like Banner or Workday.

If a user’s account details or username change, the associated Box account and personal folder are updated automatically. When an account is removed from Active Directory, the related Box account is deprovisioned, the user’s personal folder is moved to an archive location, and the folder is permanently deleted after the configured retention period.

3. No-Code Orchestration Enhancements

General enhancements were made to the No-Code Orchestration module including:

• Updated connectors such as Active Directory, My SQL and Oracle DB
• General UI responsiveness improvements
• Stability improvements

4. O365 Connector Enhancement

General enhancements were made to the No-Code Orchestration module including:

• Added support for Manager Assignment and Unassignment within the Office 365 connector, enabling improved manager relationship management and synchronization capabilities.
• Expanded attribute support within the Office 365 connector to allow synchronization and management of additional user attributes, improving integration flexibility and data mapping capabilities.

Bug Fixes

The following issues have been resolved to improve authentication reliability, user experience, and system stability:

• Fixed an issue in the Panorama Pro theme where adding a phone number as an authentication factor did not respond correctly on the first attempt.
• Resolved inconsistent failed login attempt counting behavior across non–Panorama Pro themes, ensuring account lockout policies now align correctly with configured Active Directory thresholds.
• Improved usability in the security question flow by automatically focusing on the answer field when progressing to the next security question.
• Fixed an issue where user notifications did not display correctly during login and addressed intermittent unknown system error messages.
• Resolved an issue affecting data retrieval from the RaaS API to improve reliability and response handling.

WCAG 2.2 Updates

Accessibility Compliance Upgrade

   Users can now register and manage multiple passkey devices within the Panorama Pro theme, providing greater flexibility and an improved authentication experience across multiple devices.

2. Security Enhancement – Recovery Pages
   Updated the Panorama Pro theme to ensure failed attempt counts are properly enforced across account recovery flows, including:

• Forgot Username
• Forgot Password
• Account Activation

This enhancement improves consistency and strengthens security controls across recovery pages.

1. Logging & Reporting Enhancement
   Added support for IPv6 visibility in QuickLaunch logs to improve reporting capabilities, auditability, and network activity tracking across modern environments.

2. No-Code Orchestration Enhancements

Overview

Building on the initial release of the Orchestration Editor, this update introduces usability and performance enhancements to further streamline integration and lifecycle workflow development. The Orchestration Editor is currently available as a Beta state. Bug Fixes

SAML Attribute Mapping Fix for Password-Less (Panorama-Pro)
Resolved an issue where mapped attribute values from WSO2 were not being returned correctly in SAML responses. Mapped attributes are now included as expected, improving federation and single sign-on integrations.

Panorama Pro Theme Improvements
Resolved various notification and user interface issues in the Panorama Pro theme to enhance usability, visual consistency, and overall user experience.

Email Delivery Performance Improvement
Resolved an issue that could cause delays in outbound email processing under certain conditions. Improvements have been implemented to optimize email pipeline performance, reduce queue backlogs, and ensure more reliable and timely message delivery.

ILM Connector & UI Bug Fix
The following improvements have been delivered for the ILM module:

• Resolved an issue where the Move to Step 4 button remained disabled during connection setup, preventing users from proceeding through the configuration flow.
• Introduced a new acknowledgment UI for Neo4j integrations to improve usability and user guidance.
• Fixed an issue in the Microsoft Office 365 IAM connector where configurations could be saved even when invalid credentials were provided. Credential validation now works as expected.

Active Directory Name (DN) Handling Enhancements
Resolved a backend issue affecting user creation when the Distinguished Name (DN) contains a single quote (') within the name. Users can now be created successfully in these scenarios.

Authentication Error Handling Improvement
Resolved an issue where users did not receive an appropriate error message during sign-in attempts under certain account states. Error messaging is now displayed correctly for scenarios such as:

• Accounts configured to require a password change at next logon
• Disabled accounts

This enhancement improves login transparency and provides clearer feedback during authentication attempts.
