    Togal AI

    Release Notes

Togal AI adds drag-and-drop reordering for drawing sets and folders in projects, giving teams more control over how drawings are organized and viewed. It also fixes a crash in the Library so editing classification assemblies now works as expected.

    Key Highlights

    • Reorder Drawing Sets and Folders: Drag to arrange your sets and folders in the order that fits your workflow
    • Assemblies Tab Fix: Editing a classification's assemblies in the Library no longer crashes

    New Feature

    Reorder Drawing Sets and Folders

You can now drag to reorder the drawing sets and folders within a project, right from the project page. Previously, once drawings were uploaded, the order of your sets and folders was fixed.

Now, you can arrange them in whatever order fits your workflow. For example, grouping architectural, civil, structural, and MEP the way your team thinks about a project.

Reordering uses the same drag-and-drop you already know from reordering individual drawings.

Your chosen order is saved and stays put when you return to the project, and it's reflected everywhere your sets and folders appear, including the left-hand drawing navigator.

Reordering only changes the arrangement. The drawings inside each set or folder stay exactly where they are.

    Bug Fixes

Assemblies Tab No Longer Crashes in the Library

Fixed a critical issue where opening the Assemblies tab while editing a classification in the Library, it showed a full error page instead of the assemblies editor. You can now open the Assemblies tab and add or edit assemblies on Library classifications as expected.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.58 |August 14, 2026

Togal AI releases 3.2.58 with easier navigation for large drawing sets, smoother sheet reordering on long lists, and a fix for markup images so uploaded images render correctly on the canvas.

    Key Highlights

    • Drawing Panel Finds Your Place: Opening the drawing panel expands and scrolls to your active drawing
    • Smoother Sheet Reordering: Dragging a sheet near the top or bottom edge now auto-scrolls the list
    • Markup Images Display Correctly: Uploaded markup images now render on the canvas

    Improvements

Drawing Panel Jumps to Your Active Drawing

When you open the left-hand drawing panel while viewing a drawing, it now automatically expands that drawing's folder, scrolls it into view, and highlights it. Instead of hunting for your place across a set of hundreds of sheets, you land right where you are — making it quick to jump to a neighboring sheet in the same folder.

Smoother Sheet Scrolling for Reordering on Long Lists

When you drag a sheet toward the top or bottom edge of the list, the list now scrolls automatically so you can move it in one continuous motion. Previously the drag stopped at the visible edge, so reordering a sheet across a long, 200-plus-page set took repeated attempts.

    Bug Fixes

    Markup Images Display Correctly

Fixed an issue where an uploaded markup image could render as a blank outline instead of the actual image on the canvas.

Markup images now render correctly after upload on the canvas.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.57 |August 13, 2026

Togal AI releases 3.2.57 with reliability fixes that protect Library assemblies from accidental edits on drawings and keep manual scale from showing zero after drawing a dimension line.

Release 3.2.57 delivers two reliability fixes: your Library assemblies are now protected from accidental edits when used on a drawing, and manual scale no longer displays zero after you draw a dimension line.

    Key Highlights

    • Library Assemblies Protected: Editing an assembly on a drawing never changes your shared Library original
    • Reliable Manual Scale: Manual scale no longer shows zero after drawing a dimension line

    Bug Fixes

Library Assemblies Protected from Accidental Edits

Fixed an issue where assigning a newly created Library assembly to a drawing classification could, in some cases, stay linked to the shared Library original instead of creating a project copy.

Now, assigning a Library assembly to a drawing always creates a project copy so any edits you make on the drawing affect only that project, and your Library assembly stays unchanged.

Manual Scale No Longer Shows Zero

Fixed an intermittent issue where the manual scale could display 0 after you drew a dimension line and entered its length, instead of setting the correct scale.

Drawing a reference line and entering its length now reliably sets and shows a valid scale.

    Release Notes |V.3.2.55 |August 11, 2026

Togal AI fixes Combined View takeoff saving when continuing another estimator's session.

    What's New

A single but important fix: Combined View now reliably saves new takeoff when you pick up another estimator's work.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.54 |August 7, 2026

Togal AI releases 3.2.54 with a critical Combined View paste fix, more reliable assembly data entry, and a cleaner takeoff legend that removes navigation links from the Quantity Panel and PDF exports.

Release 3.2.54 resolves a critical Combined View "copy-and-paste" issue where pasted areas could disappear, along with an assembly data-entry fix and a cleanup so navigation links no longer appear in your takeoff legend.

    Key Highlights

    • Reliable Combined View Paste: Pasted areas now save and persist correctly across sheets
    • Assembly Values Stay Put: Dimension property values are retained when switching to the Formulas tab
    • Cleaner Legend: Navigation links no longer clutter the Quantity Panel legend or PDF exports

    Bug Fixes

Pasted Areas Save Correctly in Combined View

Fixed a critical issue where areas copied and pasted in Combined View could disappear after reloading the page, paste as stacked duplicates, or stay linked to the original when pasted onto another sheet.

Pasted areas now save reliably, paste exactly once, and become independent copies on the destination sheet.

Assembly Dimension Values Retained When Switching Tabs

Fixed an issue where a dimension property value were cleared when switching to the Formulas tab. Values you enter now stay intact when moving between the Dimension Properties and Formulas tabs.

Navigation Links Removed from the Takeoff Legend

Fixed the Quantity Panel legend counting navigation links (for example, "14 links") as if they were a takeoff quantity on drawings and in PDF exports incorrectly including links; they've now been removed.

The legend now reflects only your actual takeoff.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.53 |August 6, 2026

Togal AI adds a Move lines as connected setting so connected line segments stay attached when dragged.

Release 3.2.53 is a single new drawing tool setting this release: connected line segments now move together.

    Key Highlight

    • Move connected line segments together

A new "Move lines as connected" setting keeps line segments attached to each other when you drag them, so connected geometry doesn't pull apart.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.51 |August 4, 2026

Togal AI restores shared project editing for external managers, stops the page numbering banner from reappearing on every visit, and improves Import from Library so arranged items keep their order when brought into the Quantity Panel.

    Key Highlights

    • Shared Project Editing Restored: External managers with "Can Manage" access can edit and use takeoff tools again
    • Page Numbering Banner Shows Once: The banner no longer reappears every time you open a plan set
    • Import Keeps Your Order: Import from Library now preserves the order you arranged in the import window

    Improvements

Page Numbering Banner Shows Once Per Plan Set

The automatic page numbering banner now appears only the first time you open a plan set, and stays dismissed on future visits once you've acknowledged it, instead of repeating.

Previously it reappeared every time you opened the set a repeated interruption, especially for teams that had already renamed their pages. (If you re-upload a set, the banner will show again for the new pages.)

Import from Library Keeps Your Arrangement

When you arrange or sort your classifications and folders in the Import from Library window, they now import into the Quantity Panel in that same order including the exact mix of folders and standalone classifications — instead of reverting to their original build order.

Your arrangement is also retained when you navigate away and come back, so the curated order you set in your Library carries straight through to your project.

    Bug Fixes

External Managers Can Edit Shared Projects Again

Fixed an urgent issue where users granted "Can Manage" access on a shared project — including across organizations were incorrectly limited to view-only access instead of being able to use takeoff tools directly.

Managers on shared projects now get their full editable view and takeoff controls as intended.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.50 |July 31, 2026

Togal AI ships a cleanup-focused release that adds a collapse and expand all button for drawing navigation and fixes several display and export issues, including map search behavior, import classifications, project visibility, and popup positioning.

Release 3.2.50 is a cleanup-heavy release: five separate display and export bugs are fixed, plus a handy collapse/expand-all button for drawing navigation.

    Improvements

    • Collapse and expand all drawings at once
A new button in the drawing navigator lets you collapse or expand every folder at once, instead of one at a time.

    Bug Fixes

    • Combined export multipliers fixed
Combined export views now correctly keep each source view's multipliers in count totals.

    • Map search now moves the map
Searching an address in the map tool now moves the map to the selected location as expected.

    • Import Classifications dropdown fix
The Import Classifications dropdown now only shows sets that are actually available.

    • Projects stay put after folder deletion
Projects remain visible in their folder view after the folder itself is deleted.

    • Togal popup positioning fixed
Fixed the Togal popup from the Quantity Panel being cut off at the screen edge, and hidden entirely on Windows Chrome.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.49 |July 28, 2026

Togal AI improves create-and-assign prompts and takeoff guidance for a clearer workflow.

    What's New

Small clarity improvements shipped to the create-and-assign flow and takeoff guidance.

    Improvements

    • Smarter create-and-assign prompts

The create-and-assign popup now labels itself as area, line, or item based on what you clicked, instead of a generic label.

    Bug Fixes

    • Takeoff guidance now appears on hyperlinked drawings

Fixed an issue where the "start your new takeoff" guidance wasn't showing on drawings that already had hyperlinks.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.48 |July 28, 2026

Togal AI releases smarter Assemblies formulas with automatic unit-of-measure calculation, while also fixing repeating group imports, wall and corner naming in focused takeoff, and a cleaner Quantity Panel experience.

    Key Highlights

    • Automatic Formula Units of Measure: Assembly formula units are now calculated for you from the formula's contents
    • Complete Repeating Group Imports: Repeating groups now import with all of their classifications
    • Correct Wall & Corner Naming: Walls and corners are named consistently together in focused takeoff

    Improvements

    Automatic Formula Units of Measure

In Assemblies, the unit of measure for a formula is now calculated automatically from the formula's contents, instead of being set manually.

As you build a formula, Togal determines the resulting unit through dimensional analysis. For example, multiplying two lengths produces an area in square feet. The unit of measure now appears as a read-only value that updates automatically whenever you change the formula, with an info tooltip explaining that it's derived from the formula.

This removes a manual step and prevents mismatched units.

    Bug Fixes

Repeating Groups Import with All Classifications

Fixed an issue where importing a repeating group from another set brought in the group without its child classifications. Repeating groups now import complete, with all of their classifications included.

Correct Wall and Corner Naming in Focused Takeoff

Fixed a timing issue in focused wall-and-corner takeoff where corners could be created without their wall-name prefix, and the matching wall formula wasn't pre-filled. Walls and corners are now named consistently together — corners are correctly labeled with their wall name — with the corresponding formulas ready to go.

Cleaner Quantity Panel for Classifications Without Assemblies

Fixed an issue where an "Items" subfolder appeared under a classification even when it had no assemblies (most noticeable in focused door takeoff). The Items folder now appears only when a classification actually has assemblies; otherwise, features sit directly under the classification.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.47 |July 24, 2026

Togal AI improves the export panel header and toolbar with clearer column selection states and more consistent styling.

    What's New

Release 3.2.47 brings some polish to the export panel header, creating a visual consistency in the export toolbar.

    Improvements

    Clearer Export Toolbar

The export panel header is now more consistent and informative.

The Export Columns button now shows an active state when your column selection differs from the default and its hover styling matches the rest of the export toolbar— then it returns to normal when you reset it.

That way, you can tell at a glance whether your export columns have been customized or not thus creating a more consistent look.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.45 |July 22, 2026

Togal AI adds delete assemblies and a cleaner Drawing Navigator, helping users manage the Library and Quantity Panel with confidence while keeping larger drawing sets easier to browse.

    Key Highlights

    • Delete Assemblies: Remove assemblies from the Library or the Quantity Panel, with a confirmation step that flags where they're in use
    • Cleaner Drawing Navigator: In the editor, folders start collapsed when a set has two or more subfolders

    New Feature

    Delete Assemblies

A long requested feature has been answered!

You can now delete assemblies — both from the Library and from the Quantity Panel. This closes a long-standing gap in assembly management.

Deleting an assembly works the same way as deleting a classification, with a two-step process to protect your work.

When you delete, Togal first checks whether the assembly is used elsewhere (on other drawings, sets, or projects) and shows you a confirmation with that information before anything is removed.

That way you can clean up your library and projects with confidence, without accidentally removing an assembly that's still in use.

    Improvements

    Drawing Navigator Folders Start Collapsed

In the canvas editor, the drawing navigator panel now starts with folders collapsed by default whenever a set has two or more subfolders — giving you a clean overview instead of a long, fully expanded list to scroll through.

For sets with only one subfolder (or none), folders stay expanded so you can get straight to your drawings. This comes from multiple customer requests about the time spent collapsing folders to find the drawing they need.

    Togal AI

    Release Notes |V.3.2.44 |July 22 , 2026

Togal AI releases 3.2.44 with reliability and workflow improvements, including Quantities Panel auto-jumping to new classifications, cleaner collapsed drawing subfolders, and fixes for a markup tool crash and an assembly saving error.

Release 3.2.44 focuses on reliability and ease of everyday quality of work. The Quantities Panel now jumps to newly created classifications, drawing subfolders start collapsed for a cleaner view, and we also fixed a markup tool crash and an assembly save error.

    Key Highlights

    • Quantities Panel Follows New Classifications: Creating a classification now scrolls the panel to show it
    • Cleaner Folder View: Drawing subfolders start collapsed instead of expanded
    • Stable Markup Tools: Fixed a crash when using markup tools
    • Reliable Assembly Saving: Fixed an error that could block saving a completed assembly

    Improvements

Quantities Panel Jumps to New Classifications

When you create a new classification, the Quantities Panel now automatically scrolls to bring it into view.
Previously, a new classification was added at the bottom and you had to scroll to find it. It's now visible right away! wherever it lands in the list.

    Drawing Subfolders Start Collapsed

When you open a folder on the Sets page, its drawing subfolders now start collapsed instead of expanded. This gives you a cleaner overview and saves you from collapsing subfolders and scrolling to find the drawing you need; especially helpful on projects with many subfolders.

    Bug Fixes

    Markup Tool Crash Fixed

Fixed a crash that could occur when using markup tools, including when drawing multiple text cloud markups. Markups now work without interrupting your session.

Assembly Saving No Longer Blocked by Stale Data

Fixed an issue where an assembly could fail to save with an "invalid fields" error even when every field was filled in, caused by stale underlying data. Assemblies with all required fields completed now save correctly.
