New ✨

Chapters now live in transcripts

To improve content discoverability for our users, we have launched chapters. Useful for all transcripts but particularly for longer content, chapters can now be generated once the transcription is complete. This offers users an easier way to navigate through their content and locate key moments with ease. This feature is available to use on both batch and Realtime transcripts.

Bugs 🐞

• We have set Max Speakers to cap out at 40, meaning that for Realtime users, the speaker detection system will detect a maximum of 40 speakers in a single Trint. This is to prevent the system from overloading with too many speakers at a time.

Customer Chat Flow in Hubspot

Operated by the Hubspot AI chatbot and trained on the Trint Knowledge Base, the new Hubsport Customer Chat Flow is now live in production. This means that when you select “I need help with a feature of Trint”, you will be offered a support article first and can then select “Did this help?” before the Agent assists. Queries requiring human intervention will still be directed to the support team.

Definitions for AI Highlights search

When adding a topic into the AI Highlights search modal, Trint will now look up the word on the internet and show a short definition, making it easier to refine prompts before searching. That definition then travels with the users’ prompt as extra context for the AI, so the resulting highlights better match the users’ intent and can be more easily changed if the definition does not match the intent.

We’ve revamped our developer documentation which now has a new home at

. This makes it easier for us to provide and update the documentation, improving the processes.

Trint ASR 1.32.2 now default transcription build in production

Short-file turnaround was dominated by fixed cost, not by transcription. On a 5-second clip the JIT compile alone took longer than the audio it was about to process. With Trint ASR 1.32.2 now the default, it removes a flat ~15s

of every GPU transcription.

Updated chat history in the AI Assistant

When using the AI Assistant, you can now see your past conversations within the same Trint file. Previously, the only management action was the ‘delete chat’ button, where now you can see your previous chats with the AI Assistant, reopen them and start new chats all while keeping the old one.

Trint Desktop 0.1.23 released

This version includes a small fix to enable Apple App Transport Security (ATS). We made this change following findings from our penetration test, which recommended enabling this to improve security.

Fair Share queueing for batch transcription

We’ve enabled fair share queueing so that jobs are now scheduled fairly across tenants. This aims to improve reported slow transcription times with the queue now fairly sharing capacity across tenants – meaning a single heavy uploader no longer causes latency for everyone.

Updates to the AI Assistant

Trint’s AI Assistant has gone through a major refactor and can now search across files and surface quotes. It now uses our QuotePlayer to render, playback and link quotes, matching behavior in 3rd party Agents (Claude, ChatGPT) using the Trint MCP Server.

Quote player tool in the Trint MCP Connector

This tool has now been shipped in the Trint MCP Connector which should provide a richer experience in Agents along with a standardised way to render UI within our own internal agent.

Increased resolution of video previews

The resolution of the video previews for Realtime Trints has been increased from 320px to 480px wide, bringing it up to parity with batch uploads. This means that previews now render noticeably sharper.

SSO email login improvements

We can now exempt specific email addresses from SSO on an SSO-enforced org, so nominated accounts keep username and password login while HRD is enabled for the rest of the organisation.

Updates to the waveform generation for Realtime

We’ve made changes to the way we generate the waveform for Realtime. Previously the waveform was generated by our general cluster in AWS Batch and we now use Lambdas container.

The Trint MCP Connector is live!

Possibly our most exciting update for this quarter — the Trint MCP - OAuth Proxy is live in all environments. Our MCP lets external AI clients (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) safely call a Trint platform on a user's behalf over a standard protocol, allowing Trint to show up as a tool inside those assistants. It puts Trint where users already work — inside the AI assistants they use daily — so they can reach for Trint by reflex instead of context-switching.

A new CI/CD pipeline

This new pipeline enables automated releases of the Trint Desktop app for macOS, removing the dependency on properly configured Mac laptops and streamlining the process.

A new version of the Trint Desktop app launched

Version (v0.1.21) of the Desktop app launched, with the release including a major Electron upgrade, from v34.5.6 to v41.6.0.

Trint ASR version 1.31 and 1.32 release

In version 1.30, we joined all consecutive segments with the same speaker then filtered out any segment shorter than the minimum segment duration. With release 1.31 we do this and then join consecutive segments with the same speaker. Version 1.32 trains a new version of the hallucinations detector model which has shown improved quality in hallucinations detection.

Improved UI in the AI Highlights panel

• We’ve updated the UI to streamline the panel design.
• There is now a sticky header and footer section and users can see both the suggested and accepted suggestions in the panel for each session.
• Footer shows the count for suggested and accepted highlights in a session and has the Accept all and Dismiss all buttons.
• Highlighted text in the Editor improved so the start and end of a suggestion has borders and two consecutive suggestions have empty space in between helping users to visually separate highlights easily.

Bugs 🐞

• Fixed a bug that affected subscriptions routed from the marketing site, via the buy now sign up flow.
• We have fixed an issue in the Trint Desktop app where users were required to log in again every time they closed the app. The fix has been released in v.0.1.22.

AI Highlights are here!

AI Highlighting is now a part of the AI Assistant, there to source and define key moments so you don’t have to. It works in two modes – live and pre-recorded – meaning teams can get highlights in seconds, ready to turn into content.

Recent improvements to the AI Highlights feature include:

• The quotes produced from the feature are less frequent and more selective, using a prompt tuned by our VP of Product’s domain knowledge.
• The tool is now triggered on the end of a sentence as well as at the end of paragraph.
• The triggering logic has been optimised, so it is now triggering every 15 seconds, meaning highlights are set to be updated more often, avoiding long delays before the first highlight generated.

Trint ASR version 1.29 release

We now have a build version of our ASR Batch image which is better at handling segments and less likely to miss chunks of transcripts.

Desktop App now uses H264 codec for live streaming

The Desktop App was using an old FLV1 video codec which produces high bitrate compared to the standard RTMP codec H264. The FLV1 codec also doesn't allow for constant bitrate and framerate control, whereas the H264 codec will have fixed framerate and will downscale the video to 480p.

Bugs 🐞

• We fixed a bug in the transcript watcher API that prevented messages going to a dlq when errors occurred and also cleaned up the part of the code that caused the issue.
• We’ve patched up the server that handles our RTMP push streams to clean up memory when a stream finishes.
• We fixed a bug that could set some transcript states to null during secure deletions, which prevented unicorns UI from rendering properly, and stopped us from easily getting visibility of the outcome of the deletions.

Our live-engine hotpool is now zero

All our legacy mobile users that have not upgraded the app will see that we are phasing out the live engine solution in favour of the Fast Live solution. All mobile users should upgrade to the latest available version.

Chat persistence enabled in AI Assistant

Where previously the AI assistant chat might get lost if a user refreshed the page or left and came back to it, now we have enabled chat persistence which means the conversation won’t get lost. This improves user experience with the ai-assistant, and will enable us to support multi-chats in the future.

Publicly available translations within public links

Now when a user creates a public link for a Trint which contains translations, these translations will also be available publicly with the translation tabs visible. This improves user experience and means users no longer have to make each individual Trint translation public.

A new version of the AI Assistant

We have a new Find Quotes feature which returns a list of quotes with timestamp hyperlinks, making for easier navigation back to the document.

• Users can now clear the chat history in the AI Assistant
• Autoscroll has been removed as it can be distracting scrolling fast from the beginning of the response

Upgraded ASR to enhance batch flow

For realtime users and users not using TASR for transcription, we have upgraded our ASR to help improve word error rate for Danish, Finnish, Maltese, Norwegian and Swedish languages.

More transcription accuracy with Trint ASR 1.28

We have rolled out a new version of Trint transcription to vastly reduce the word error rate and help with diarization performance to more accurately recognise speaker changes. This improvement should be seen across all Trint transcription languages.

New Trint mobile app release – 1.0.104

This new iOS update to the Trint mobile app improves the Trint live transcription feature to be more stable and reduce the load on the user’s device.

Reworked playback in our transcription editor

Where previous implementations used excessive inline decorations to mark playback state, we have reduced the node count on the page by 33% on a sample 2 hour document, improving the playback section.

New export formats for Caption Editor Trint’s Caption Editor can now export subtitles in the following extra formats: VTT, Avid DS and Spruce STL.

Zoom integration now available for EU customers Trint’s Zoom integration was previously just for users outside of Europe but now any user can automatically transcribe their Zoom meetings and in any transcription language. Previously this integration only allowed English transcriptions.

Timecode adjustment Trint users can now choose 23.97 fps when selecting to adjust the timecode within a transcript. This was a request from a number of Trint customers, which we were happy to help with.

More efficient file uploads to Trint We have improved our backend systems to make uploading audio and video files to Trint faster and more reliable than before. This also includes integrations with Google Drive and an improved user interface within Trint’s web/desktop apps.

• Fixed an issue with audio processing on Trint’s Android app that was causing audio to sometimes skip during playback.

• Fixed a bug where some Trint users were being locked out of their mobile app because their subscription had expired. These users can now still access the mobile app but with a reduced experience until they subscribe to Trint again.
