    Trint

    Release Update - October 2026

Trint unveils a boosted AI Assistant that analyzes transcripts in any language, extracts topics and sentiments, and delivers quick, copyable insights with helpful prompts. Mobile access is limited for reliability while web and desktop stay live, with improved realtime speaker recognition and a new speaker search. Bug fixes follow.

    New ✨

Conversational AI Assistant We have enhanced Trint’s AI Assistant to allow users to interrogate their transcripts and translated files to extract rich insights such as key topics, sentiments and trends. This includes:

    • Suggested prompts to help you get answers to things like ‘Extract interesting quotes’
    • Pull out insights during Live and real-time events or after the fact with pre-uploaded content
    • Ask questions and get answers in any language, regardless of the original transcript or translation file language
    • Ask follow up questions and refine your insights and responses or generate a new answer to your question
    • Quickly copy a response to paste in other files or applications
    • Provide ‘good’ or ‘bad’ response feedback for Trint product teams to understand how to improve the experience

AI Assistant disable on mobile app To improve reliability of Trint’s new and improved AI Assistant, we have removed this feature from our mobile app so that it doesn’t impair the experience on older mobile phones. The AI Assistant feature will still be available on Trint’s web & desktop apps, however users will also be able to generate AI Summaries of transcripts on mobile.

    Improved 👩‍💻

Automatic Speaker Recognition added to Realtime Speaker Recognition is available for Realtime transcripts, allowing speakers to be recognised after around 15 seconds of monologue. Speakers will need to be added to Trint and remembered for future transcripts at least once in the Realtime or a previous transcript.

Speaker name search filter Users can now search for specific speaker names across their Trint archive using the global search feature at the top of the Trint platform.

    Bugs 🐞

    • A number of small bugs have been spotted and fixed on the Trint iOS app including an error that was preventing some users from accessing their uploaded transcript.

    Trint

    Release Update - November 2026

Trint unveils a speaker‑focused AI Assistant, real‑time TRANSCRIPT_COMPLETE webhooks, and stronger ASR with the 1.27 model. Automatic Speaker Recognition goes live for all users, plus upload API auto‑scaling and tighter Content Security Policy for enhanced security.

    New ✨

Ask about speakers to AI Assistant To make it easier to find meaningful moments and key quotes in their transcripts, users can now ask Trint’s AI Assistant questions about specific speakers. This can be utilised when transcribing long conferences/interviews with multiple participants to quickly find the insights you are looking for.

Realtime webhook trigger Trint users who have set-up webhook notifications for Realtime will now have better visibility to know when a Realtime has finished transcribing. The event “TRANSCRIPT_COMPLETE” will now be triggered.

    Improved 👩‍💻

    • More transcription accuracy with Trint ASR 1.27 Trint users will now experience better transcription accuracy with our latest AI model.

    • Automatic Speaker Recognition live for all users Trint users will now all have access to Trint’s Automatic Speaker Recognition feature. This can be disabled for an organization by speaking to your Customer Success Manager.

    • Auto-scaling for upload API We have implemented an auto-scaling feature for Trint’s upload API to reduce service disruptions for customers when a lot of upload requests are added at once. This new system can automatically adjust to capacity to improve the overall service.

    • Content Security Policy Updates We have applied stricter policies to the Trint web app to ensure the best security for user data. This includes tighter restrictions on scripts from arbitrary sources and outbound connection requests that may have been introduced by a user.

    Trint

    Release Update - December 2026

Trint rolls out new export formats for Caption Editor, adds EU Zoom integration, and speeds up Trint Live on mobile. Timecode now supports 23.97 fps, faster file uploads with Google Drive integration, and improved reliability. Bug fixes remove audio skips and subscription lockouts.

    New

New export formats for Caption Editor Trint’s Caption Editor can now export subtitles in the following extra formats: VTT, Avid DS and Spruce STL.

Zoom integration now available for EU customers Trint’s Zoom integration was previously just for users outside of Europe but now any user can automatically transcribe their Zoom meetings and in any transcription language. Previously this integration only allowed English transcriptions.

    Improved 👩‍💻

Faster Trint Live on mobile We have upgraded Trint Live on mobile to be even faster than before, offering better reliability for live transcriptions and also allowing words to appear almost instantly.

Timecode adjustment Trint users can now choose 23.97 fps when selecting to adjust the timecode within a transcript. This was a request from a number of Trint customers, which we were happy to help with.

More efficient file uploads to Trint We have improved our backend systems to make uploading audio and video files to Trint faster and more reliable than before. This also includes integrations with Google Drive and an improved user interface within Trint’s web/desktop apps.

    Bugs 🐞

    • Fixed an issue with audio processing on Trint’s Android app that was causing audio to sometimes skip during playback.
    • Fixed a bug where some Trint users were being locked out of their mobile app because their subscription had expired. These users can now still access the mobile app but with a reduced experience until they subscribe to Trint again.

    Trint

    Release Update - March 2026

Trint phases out its legacy live engine in favor of Fast Live for older mobile users and adds chat persistence in AI Assistant, so conversations no longer get lost after refreshes or returns to the page.

    New ✨

Our live-engine hotpool is now zero

All our legacy mobile users that have not upgraded the app will see that we are phasing out the live engine solution in favour of the Fast Live solution. All mobile users should upgrade to the latest available version.

    Improved 👩‍💻

Chat persistence enabled in AI Assistant

Where previously the AI assistant chat might get lost if a user refreshed the page or left and came back to it, now we have enabled chat persistence which means the conversation won’t get lost. This improves user experience with the ai-assistant, and will enable us to support multi-chats in the future.

    Trint

    Release Update - February 2026

Trint adds public translations in public links, a new AI Assistant Find Quotes feature with timestamped quote links, and UX polish for the assistant, including chat history clearing and cleaner layout. It also upgrades Speechmatics to improve transcription accuracy for several languages.

    New ✨

Publicly available translations within public links

Now when a user creates a public link for a Trint which contains translations, these translations will also be available publicly with the translation tabs visible. This improves user experience and means users no longer have to make each individual Trint translation public.

A new version of the AI Assistant

We have a new Find Quotes feature which returns a list of quotes with timestamp hyperlinks, making for easier navigation back to the document.

    Improved 👩‍💻

UX/UI improvements in the AI Assistant

    • Users can now clear the chat history in the AI Assistant
    • Autoscroll has been removed as it can be distracting scrolling fast from the beginning of the response
    • Improved layout and typography for better readability and a more polished overall look and feel

Upgraded to Speechmatics 14.13.0 enhanced for batch flow

For realtime users and users not using TASR for transcription, we have upgraded to a new version of Speechmatics to help improve word error rate for Danish, Finnish, Maltese, Norwegian and Swedish languages.

    Trint

    Release Update - January 2026

Trint improves transcription accuracy, diarization, and live transcription stability with a new ASR version and iOS mobile app update, while also reworking editor playback, throttling EditorClient throughput, and patching a live transcribing memory leak.

    Improved 👩‍💻

More transcription accuracy with Trint ASR 1.28

We have rolled out a new version of Trint transcription to vastly reduce the word error rate and help with diarization performance to more accurately recognise speaker changes. This improvement should be seen across all Trint transcription languages.

New Trint mobile app release – 1.0.104

This new iOS update to the Trint mobile app improves the Trint live transcription feature to be more stable and reduce the load on the user’s device.

    The EditorClient now throttles throughput

We have been looking at upgrading to Speechmatics 14, which returns words much faster than 10.5. A throughput throttle Ms has been implemented in the EditorClient which can be configured to 0 and have no throttling enabled, or up to 20000 (20 seconds).

Reworked playback in our transcription editor

Where previous implementations used excessive inline decorations to mark playback state, we have reduced the node count on the page by 33% on a sample 2 hour document, improving the playback section.

    Bugs 🐞

    • Live transcribing Indicator memory leak has been patched.
